I keep trying trying to be an adult...wine tasting. This lil gem is right on rt5 in Putney VT (downstairs from the closed Basketville). This little winery is amazing. No grapes, all fruit locally sourced (except the cranberries) and lovely liquors. Kim provided us with all the info on the wines. I'm not into dry and still appreciated the pear wine. In the end, we purchased the rhubarb blush. Sooo yummy. Saving this for a young lady's 94th birthday. Check out the pictures. Come sit a spell and enjoy a glass or two of delicious wine.

Definitely recommend coming here! We stumbled upon this place because of how close our airbnb is and we absolutely love their wine and service! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great for locals or anyone just passing through town!

Those wines are great. Pear, rhubarb, rhubarb, and cassis are excellent. I should have given them five stars earlier. Also, I don't any New England winery who waves tasting fees. This place is a gem.

I loved this spot! Added it as a planned spot to a weekend trip in Vermont. The host was extremely nice and told about each of the wines and liqueurs. The Rhubard Blush wine and Simply Honey liqueur was my favorite. Definitely recommend. There is a cute seating area too.

Coming from Boston, we decided to go exploring between New Hampshire and Vermont. I looked up this winery and said let's go! We had such a great time! $5 for the wine tasting! Surprise! It included liqueurs! We had such an amazing experience. I highly recommend this winery to anyone traveling in the area.

Had a great time at Putney Winery and Spirits trying out their wines and liquors. Lila was very personable and knowledgeable -- we will be taking a few things home today! Definitely come check it out!

Before settling on the cassis, I tasted the rhubarb blush, which was yummy, but too sweet for my taste.

Think of this not as a winery as you would in the California style. It's a liqueur tasting that enhances the finer agriculture of Vermont. Ginger liqueur is wonderful- sweet with strong flavors and I already knew it would make wonderful mixed drinks. The chocolate liqueur was delicious as was the apple maple wine. All sweet so go with the perspective of how to enrich a wine based cocktail or a champagne cocktail. If you're a dessert wine lover it's definitely for you. We ended up buying ginger and apple maple. Kim was so friendly and kind to all five of us, even though she was in the midst of a tasting with another group. This didn't effect the attention she showed us in the slightest. We will be ordering their cranberry wine two months from due to how lovely the experience and the taste was.
