I've come to the conclusion that people in New Fairfield or around Danbury really don't know Italian food. It's a shame That was bad Italian food. The salad was terrible, and the iced tea was bad. My wife had the fried mozzarella, which was awful. I had the gnocchi, and the sauce was bitter. overall, I gave it one star because the service was good, but that was it, but you don't go to a restaurant for service you go for food and hope the service is good I hope they read this and change their chef or their cook. I ordered the mushroom ravioli. I went to take my first bite however and found they'd brought out the lobster ravioli instead. After awhile of waiting they brought out the correct meal. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.
