We had a fantastic experience with Put A Fork In It Catering for our backyard celebration. Todd was a pleasure to work with--very responsive and accommodating. The team arrived on time, and the servers kept everything neat, organized, and running smoothly so we could relax and enjoy the event. It was also super convenient to rent tables and chairs through them. The food was delicious and plentiful--especially the chicken piccata, pasta primavera with shrimp, and mozzarella skewers. Hired for a Halloween party at our home. Approximately 4k paid, half up front in May. Plenty of time. Here is the menu Charcuterie board , mini beef wellingtons, bacon wrapped shrimp Dijon chicken , garlic mashed potatoes , green beans almandine , mixed green salad w/Dijon vinaigrette , assorted rolls and butter , Halloween themed desserts- At special request with much back and forth- a molten chocolate cake, layered mousse cups, ghostbuster theme cupcakes & cookies. orange lemonade and water. What we received 30 minutes before party guests were arriving. However, Taya was great and set up quickly with the help of my two servers and 1 bartender. Appetizers- good Dijon chicken- tasteless and over cooked garlic mashed potatoes green beans which were not bright green(not refreshed after cooking) Greens with 3 bottles of store bought dressing Two bags of Hawaiian rolls purchased at grocery store, butter a bunt cake from "Bunt cake store" still in box, Safeway/Frys cupcakes and cookies. layered mousse(was good) So, if you want someone to buy things at various stores for your event, they can do it. My 50 guests were not impressed, and I let them all know who catered. We have live in Desert Mountain for 24 years. I have 23 years of cooking school and have catered my own parties in the past. A few of my guests who know me well said they would help me cater the party in the future. That's how disappointing the food was. read more

Hired for an engagement party for 50+ people held at our home. Party was called for 7 PM and they were to arrive 1 1/2 hours early to set up. The crew arrived at 6:35 and was not fully operational till 7:45, with most people not aware that food was ready to eat till about 8 PM. 2 of the items were never fully set up. The bar had no water available, and towards the end of the party, we had to give the bartender our own tequila as they ran out. Tried calling the owner the following Monday and found him incredibly combative, basically telling me that I am not telling the truth. This was our experience and thus we would not recommend nor would we ever use them again. Unfortunately for them, this was basically an interview for 2 weddings we are throwing over the next 18 months. read more

We ordered Easter dinner for our family this year from Put a Fork in It. What a great idea that turned out to be! We ordered for 8 but we had plenty of food left over! The food was delivered right on time and was hit, fresh and DELICIOUS! Besides the quality of the food, Todd was so helpful - we had three vegetarians and Todd made us a fantastic vegetable pasta. We were directed to this caterer by our wedding venue, Regency Garden. I'm not sure if the caterer or the venue hires and is responsible for the service, but we had amazing service at our wedding. They have tastings scheduled at their culinary center at certain days/times, usually in the evening, and my husband did have to leave work early to make it. But we were provided a calendar with all the dates and times in advance and scheduling it was easy. We showed up to the culinary center for the tasting unsure of what to expect, and left with full bellies! They had multiple tables set up with all of the options they offer, and we were instructed to sample literally everything, then we could rankdiscuss our favorites. It is not a restaurant, so no one waited on us or filled our drinks, but they did intermittently check in with us to get our feedback and to help us settle a vegetable versus Mac and cheese side dish debate. We were the last tasters for the evening and got sent home with some leftovers. We got married 10/3/17, and people STILL mention the delicious food when the wedding comes up in conversation. We picked phyllo wrapped asparagus for finger food during cocktail hour. For dinner we had a roast beef and a pesto chicken that were both amazing. We got Caesar salad and for sides there were new potatoes and Mac and cheese (husband ended up winning that!) I would not change a thing about the food or our experience with this caterer. read more

I am seriously SO impressed with Put a Fork In It Catering! We have had them cater for our company a few times now and have been SO happy with their services. A few reasons we love Put a Fork In It include: - Their price was unbeatable - and trust me, I did my research. - They are quick to respond and it's not some generic, pre-written response I received from other companies. It was efficient & personalized every time. - THE FOOD - OMG. The reason you hire a cater is for the food and let me tellllll you - it's amazing! We've had appetizers, Italian, Mexican, etc. ALL of it has been amazing. My employees rave every time we cater from them. I HIGHLY suggest the Chicken Parmesan, it's to die for! - The service is so extremely pleasant! All of their employees are kind, funny and super helpful. They are timely, detail oriented and really just create the easiest experience. - We had an issue with dates during one of our most recent orders (totally an oversight on my part) but the owner was SO fantastic and understanding. He worked with me on getting it all fixed and realllllly took care of us. It's clear they aren't a money hungry company. They truly care about doing what is right and creating an amazing customer experience. I had been blown away by their kindness, customer service, food and delivery without a doubt! We hired Put A Fork In It for my Son's wedding after a recommendation from the venue owner (but that is another story). The entire process was handled very unprofessionally. I think it's very strange that this company has so many positive reviews on another site. If their experiences were genuine then I am happy for them. However, let me tell you my story of what happened at my Son and daughter-in-law's wedding. 1st and foremost, despite being offered a refund (that didn't happen), this is not about money but to inform others and possibly prevent this from ruining another wedding. Please, please, do your research before hiring Put A Fork In It or any caterer. This is how I found out there was a problem. I was watching the line for the buffet and waited until I was one of the last ones to eat. Unknowing at this point that some of the tables were asked to go up. (No announcements were made ahead of time.) The line was going down so our table decided to go up. My son's boss and his wife (didn't know at the time either) were ahead of me in line. When they approached the trays for the main food which was supposed to be 3 different kinds of skewers, they were being spooned 2 pieces of shrimp (left over from the hors d'oeuvres distributed during the cocktail hour) by a server in which the two guests politely replied that they didn't eat seafood. They said they would wait for the skewers to be refilled. The girl then informed them that they ran out but there was plenty of salad, pointing to another area of the table. The gentleman looked over and commented "Do you mean the lettuce and tomato?" 3 other dishes (of salad fixings) were empty. They said "No, thank you, handed them their plates and left. I quickly realized that that's why my or the table next to us wasn't approached by anyone from the caterer. After observing all of this I called the girl off to the side, introduced myself and inquired what the problem was. Instead of offering an apology or stating that their trying to find a solution she snapped and said my guests took too much food in the beginning, so they ran out. Needless to say, I was upset at their inability to manage the affair and asked that she contact her boss and have him call me immediately. Neither she or her partner knew who that was and couldn't do anything because it was late on a Saturday night. After returning to our table, I found that no one got food at our or the table next to us. Another table only saw two pork skewers with the other two trays empty. By then, my brother-in law tracked me down and said his table didn't get much either and wanted to know what was going on because he saw a server fill a plate from the other side of the buffet table then disappear. At the end, I guessed that about 10 people didn't get anything to eat. I didn't find out until a few days later that it was probably closer to 20 that had very limited selections. Food for 90 people was ordered. 86 people showed up including 8 children and the best they could come up with was our guests ate too much in the beginning when there was no announcement, distribution by servers or signage in anyway. This could have been prevented in so many ways but even the owner, who I talked to 3 days later after several phone calls, stood by his staff and didn't apologize for anything. He actually said to me, "I guess it's your word against theirs". I ask, for what possible reason would I make any of this up? A simple announcement that would let guests know the rules or have someone dispensing the entrée`s would have worked. But to just leave a buffet open for people to help themselves you need to have enough food to compensate. I was told I would be reimbursed for the 10 people (I thought at the time). It's been over 2 weeks and I have not heard from him at all. It was never about the money. My goal was to let him know the issues so others wouldn't be as disappointed as we were. Apparently, he wasn't interested in hearing it. DO NOT USE THIS CATERER. After a great venue in a beautiful setting, my daughter-in-law comes to tears when hearing the only thing people seem to be talking about was the food and food service. I paid almost $70 per head and certainly expected an above average, professional event. Instead I was reminded that the food was only 25 and the bar was 15. After all your other fees, I paid $6014 plus tax for 90 people. Do the math Todd. read more

Cross posting this because they were so amazing. I am so glad that we went with Put a Fork in It Catering. We did a buffet for wedding and they were amazing. We had quite a few vegans and vegetarians in our circle of friends and family and I wanted then to be able to enjoy themselves too. Todd created this vegan harvest grain salad that honestly was one of the best things in the plate and allowing our loved ones to celebrate and enjoy with us. Our omnivores loved the different sauces (even another vendor commented to us about how good the food was). The spread looked amazing and they did a great job of controlling the flow of people at the buffet.. Their staff was wonderful. Super accommodating, so nice and very hard workers. We went from having a huge buffet table in the middle of the room to suddenly them disappearing the table without me somehow noticing. They were great about being in the background but getting everything done, which is amazing for an event. We also used a bartender though them and she did a great job displaying our wine and beer selection and helping any love buildups move through quickly. Last but not least Victoria went above and beyond. She helped with figuring out other possible vendors, constantly checking in and assisting with issues that popped up with dealing with our venue. In all honesty and seriousness, my wedding day would have been ruined without my vendors; Victoria and Put a Fork in It most of all. I highly recommend this caterer as someone who goes above and beyond with your event. They are more than just the food and everything was much appreciated. read more

Put a Fork In It was the first caterer that we met with, and we were so impressed, that we booked them immediately and didn't feel the need to shop around.  Todd outdid himself with the menu items we requested to taste, and I really appreciated the time and care he took to not only prepare everything, but also to speak to each dish, and offer so many additional services.  The food was fantastic and Todd was communicative and professional. On the day of the wedding, the food was better than I remembered, and the service staff was fantastic.  I am in hospitality as well, and service is very important to me.  Every server was polite and timely, and I received several compliments from my guests. My only regret is that I wish I had had time to eat more! read more

I don't normally write reviews, good or bad, but I must in this case. This was the worst experience of my life. It was supposed to be a buffet tasting for our wedding with lots of other people, but because many canceled it was turned into individual tastings - which was totally fine - however, my fiancé and I were put in a small closed off room in one corner and the other three couples got put at the front of the restaurant all next to each other. That was the first thing I didn't understand or appreciate. The service was horrible. I won't use names, but the woman helping us was trying to help four separate tables and would stand at each able for 10 minutes just talking. If she had put us all in one room for tastings, she could have talked to all of us! We asked for pork to not be brought out. It was the first thing brought to us and she blamed the chef. Didn't apologize. One of the items she said would come out, never did, and when we asked her if we'd be getting it, she said she didn't bring it because we tried a different chicken. Yet at the beginning of the tasting we were told we could try any and all of the things on the list. She constantly blamed the chef for things and NEVER said sorry. We were not offered anything to drink besides water. It took forever to get water refilled. We would sit quietly and patiently at our table waiting 15-20 minutes in between courses - with nobody coming to talk to us or check on us. All-in-all she wasn't professional and wasn't very friendly. I wrote a review on Facebook and the woman responded explaining issues, but again, NEVER apologized. This was back in like October-November. Today I got a notification they responded again, and they posted a bunch of quotes about not hating or being kind and how I must have a lot of drama in my life. This is just very rude and unprofessional and I can see how they clearly do not care about their customers. Very ignorant. I wish them the. Eat in the future. Maybe they need a new chef (all the sauces tasted bad and they drenched everything in it) or they need new staff. I reached out to my wedding venue and they have even told me they probably wouldn't be using this place as a vendor much longer. Apparently I'm not the only person complaining. read more

I just got married and Put a Fork In It did the food and it was amazing. It was hard to decided after the $20 tasting of about 50 items! But we picked gonganzolo stuff sirloin wrapped in bacon, crab cakes, chicken empanadas, and buffalo chicken spring rolls for apps (ALL AMAZING and they are kind enough to bring out food first to the wedding party taking pictures) for a main course we did cheese torilinis, sausage and peppers over linguini, and lemon chicken with sides of garlic cut potatoes and veggies. Okay so we picked a lot but 3 weeks later I'm still hearing for people of who good the food was and I couldn't agree more. I contacted Put A Fork In It in early April 2021. We had about a month to plan our last minute wedding. Todd responded right away. He was always timely with his responses including menu review and food requests. The food tasting went perfectly, nothing needed to be altered. I told him that my daughter was vegan so I wanted to incorporate vegan options in our buffet and desserts. He said it wouldn't be a problem and it wasn't! He coordinated everything from table, chair and linens, etc. to the wedding cake and vegan cupcakes. He was very accommodating and easy to work with. Everything was on time, despite the fact that it is hard to find employees these days. It gave my fiance and I so much relief knowing that Todd would coordinate it all and that I did not have to seek out a table/chair vendor, linen vendor, cake vendor, etc. Again, he did this very last minute. The food was hot, the servers were nice and attentive, the cake was phenomenal. Nothing but compliments from my guests. Honestly, I rarely give 5 stars but Put A Fork In It deserves 5 stars. Terrible experience. This company came as the recommended caterer from our venue. When we scheduled our tasting we met at their office which was an old conference style room. All we heard of our food being prepared was microwaves going off. All of the food tasted like a cheap TV dinner. There was no sense of finesse in their execution or presentation. Definitely not what I envisioned for my wedding guests. When I gave them our feedback, their only response was "you're difficult to please." This is our wedding day, a meal that will be remembered for better or worse by our loved ones. This is a company who bragged that they are always so busy with weddings, that it seemed they didn't care whether or not they received our business. Their customer service is poor, and there was no attempt of following up with us to see how they could improve, so we went with an alternate caterer who was far superior in his customer service and food execution. read more

We used this catering company for a Senior Night Volleyball event -- and the food, service, staff and everything else was AMAZING! We chose Put A Fork In It because they had catered our daughter's wedding 4 years ago and had done a fantastic job! We wanted to make this a special Senior Night since it was our last/youngest daughter and had been around the program since she was very young. They made suggestions on menu items that worked well with players and parents alike -- chicken cordon blue, a pastry puff chicken (like a pot pie), rice pilaf and fingerling potatoes (to get those carbs in for players), individual salads and shrimp cups on the tables (to make things festive) -- and everything was totally delicious. Hot food was well prepared and salads and shrimp were beautiful on the tables. Made this very special Senior Night even better! Compliments were still being sent to us the following day about the tastiness of the food! Thanks Todd and all of your staff - for helping us make it an event to remember!
