He really knows how to explain things so that you understand the concept which for me can be hard when you read it. He knows the traditions, the Sanskrit, the history. He teaches the devotional side to yoga as well as the physical side. If you truly want to learn the meaning of yoga in all its aspects , or just dig a little deeper inside, then this is the place for you. They also offer really great workshops that are one of a kind. The atmosphere is nice. It feels like an independent music label. One of a kind and authentic. The other teachers seemed friendly, the owner was totally approachable and just had this kind mannerism about him. the students were of all type from beginner to advanced who were there to learn yoga not do a fashion show. I didn't feel any judgment from this place. Just pure clean yoga. I am just bummed I do not live a little closer or this would be my studio of choice.

The area was clearly marked and easy to find. At the end of class you were welcome to paddle board for few minutes or continue to practice. So three weeks later I just completed my 2nd level 1 class. I did things I could not do during the try it class. It made me feel so much better about my self. Its not easy, and its not for everyone. but what will you lose if you just try their try it class? Like I said they do not judge and they love to help. they do not push you if you do not feel comfortable. just an absolute amazing place and I am hooked.

My experience through teacher training was the best time of my life! It was the first time in my life where the physical practice became spiritual and I learned just how much knowledge goes into teaching a yoga class. Every instructor has a deep understanding of yoga that they impart to every student and their expertise can be found nowhere else. Almost all of the instructors here have been teaching for many years, mastered every certification, and know all there is to know about the practice. But beyond just the technical aspects of teaching yoga, the studio space itself is beautiful. Nowhere else in Oakland County can you find such a peaceful, comforting, and clean space. The community here is so welcoming. Not to mention how affordable it is too! I've checked out other studios in the midwest and no one else has a deal like the 5 for $15. Where else can you get a trial run for that cheap?? I would recommend Updog to anyone and everyone looking for a place to improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

The person at the front desk informed me that my birthday is in February, and it is now March (no way!) I showed the email that said 30 days expiration that was sent on February 21st. Not a great way to start a yoga class when you already don't feel welcomed from the start. The class was good, but unexpectedly the teacher trainer was observing the yoga teachers in training. They had to randomly start teaching part of the sun A. I wish it was explained that was going to happen prior to the class & would've loved to support new teachers. Overall felt confused.
