Posting to warn other dog owners who use boarding facilities. I picked up my dog from Creekside…read moreCountry Canines on Monday morning to a horrific sight. A shock collar was discovered on my dog jammed so tight on his neck that both my husband and the male employee had significant difficulty removing it. The employee at pickup did not disclose the use and was going to allow us to leave with this collar still on our dog. There was no communication during his stay that this type of discplinary action was necessary and it was a complete shock, since we have used the boarding service several times and our dog's behavior has only been praised. A single finger couldn't even fit underneath it. The employee on duty had to physically choke, pull, and wrestle my dog to get it off causing him severe distress, flailing, and yelping. He was inside of an unsupervised crate with this device and staff have not disclosed how many days this device was used. We have tried to communicate with the owner directly, and have been told three very different explanations regarding the use which shows deception and lying. Leaving an improperly fitted, high-pressure correction tool jammed on a confined dog unattended, with zero shift logging or handler handoff is negligence, plain and simple. When confronted with these safety failures, the owner doubled down with deflection rather than addressing why my dog was wrongly subjected to unmonitored equipment and choking under their roof. Formal complaints has been filed with Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC), along with deceptive business practice reports with the WA Attorney General. Save your dogs the trauma and avoid sending your dog to this facility.

After a previous boarding…read moreexperience with our previous Yorkie at another facility (that has since closed down), I was very anxious about possibly repeating the experience. However, the entire process and stay at Eastside Vet was excellent. Pre-boarding prep: A wellness exam with their medical team is required before which makes sense so that they are familiar and able to provide medical treatment if needed. But it was also helpful as the vet also explained the boarding care and what to expect. Then a thorough intake form is completed to ensure the staff are aware of any and all care needs, i.e. diet/meals, behaviors, preferences, etc. Any details specific to our pup to help keep his daily routine as much as possible. During boarding: I did elect to pay for an additional potty break/walk, playtime, and daily photo update. Would recommend the photo update if you have any separation anxiety. The staff attendants shared detailed daily summaries and the cutest photos (attached examples). They were so patient and caring with our pup and this really helped to ease any anxiety. I was also able to provide home food, snacks, toys, bed, and blanket. Note: there is no attendant overnight (6p-8a) but I think that might be an industry standard. Pick up: staff were very nice, efficient and everything was already prepaid online, returned all provided items intact and any remaining food/treats. They provided a post boarding care sheet as well. Cost: compared to other facilities, it is on the higher range but I think still reasonable comparable. But also worth the higher rate as there is a full medical team on site during their regular business hours (it's a vet clinic also), so if there are any medical treatments or emergencies during the stay, the medical team are there to assist. Overall, would highly recommend and board with Eastside Vet again if needed. Staff were very communicative and caring and overall so sweet to our little pup.

We got pictures and videos that let us know they were safe, entertained, and having fun. She went above and beyond in every way to care for our kids while we were in vacation. The real review that matters is how my pups behaved when I got home. Normally when I go to the boarders, they are clearly stressed when they are brought from their kennels. The superstore chain is the worst. They bark and whine like they've been stuck there for years. Under Brittany's care, it was nothing but licks and tail wags! She's a member of our family now and I wouldn't trust our pups with anyone else. Ever.

I called another service (Dallas and Pals) but they were full, and recommended Zak. I'm so glad it worked out that way! Since then, my dog has been a "regular" with Crazy Misfits. Zak comes over during the day, picks up my dog for a couple of hours of "play time," and has been super-accommodating about special requests or an occasional "REALLY late day." My own cat (first time cat owner) had to undergo lots of tests to diagnose a chronic illness, and I was in the loop the entire time concerning the costs, timeline of test results, and I was given thorough information regarding her treatment. On the topic of those costs, there was a small mistake regarding a test label, which ended up costing some 50 extra dollars to run through.
