When I brought him back for help she acted as if this was no big deal and it was the pavements fault, then it was my fault because they try to get the nails as short as possible for us! I had to ask for an apology. She showed no sympathy to my dog at all when she repaired his nail. Now we are home and one of his back nails is bleeding! Absolutely the worst experience. This woman has no business dealing with animals at all! Also his hair is completely chopped up, ears are uneven. Just terrible. read more

My puppy had a full grooming service today. My dog came back with one of her eyes closed with bad irritation and nails clipped too short bleeding. We wanted to take the puppy to the hospital and asked for reimbursement for hospital fees. The manager was going to call the owner Erin, for reimbursement. The manager called me back after 10 minutes says the owner isn't going to reimburse me. When my wife went back to Purrfect Fur Salon, the manager locks the door on her and called the Sheriff. After the sheriff talked to the manager, my wife wasn't allowed to go into the Purrfect Fur Salon, and advised my wife to take them to civil court. This was probably the worst place to bring a dog and we will never be returning and I will be sharing that this is a terrible place. I witnessed the man dragging my large dog and choking him, letting him cry. They did a very poor job grooming him and let him sit for 45 minutes while i kept calling asking when he was done. I repeatedly called and they kept saying 10 more minutes, so i just showed up there and they said oh he's been waiting for 45 minutes. Obviously your business does not communicate with each other and that is terrible. I should have read the reviews on yelp because they are all terrible. We've brought him here a few times and will never be back, and most likely will be reporting to the BBB. Decided to try a new groomer and this was this first time I have been treated this way by any groomer. The manager is extremely rude and told me to point to a sign that was on a door based on policy. They didn't go into detail on anything as I was a new customer, I was told to read a sign. My dog is 8 years old and gets groomed every 3 months. This by far was the worst haircut. Uneven and just poor. Ears were not cleaned and nails were barely cut. What was ridiculous they charged me 15.00 more because I was told it took 5 mins to pick up his dog hair. Never will I take my dog here again! First, they aren't exactly friendly. I tried asking questions about the grooming and really got no good answers. My son was with me when I picked up our dog. I didn't like the smell of the products - he smelled like an old man. My young son kept saying the dog smelled bad. I asked them to cut a couple inches off - I noticed immediately how uneven his hair was! There were several spots where I had to cut with the scissors, did they not even check their work? Outside of the extremely long areas, it was just uneven all around. They also did not do the inside of his ears. Then I noticed they shaver burned him!! Of course, it's itchy for my dog so he's been aggravating that spot. It's by his privates so it's been a challenge to not get him to touch it. It's been over 2 weeks now and the spot is finally starting to heal. His hair is growing out more and I can still noticeably see how bad the haircut was. I will never be back!!! read more

I have only just started to take my little furry ones to this grooming facility but I am super pleased with their services, the staff & the prices! I loved the setup inside, which is connected to the pet store, so I can shop right after dropping off! The staff was AMAZING - so polite & gentile with our fur babies, whom don't always make that an easy task. They are fast & did a great job with both dogs, even with my super wooly husky!! I can't believe this place is still open. I came here about two years ago and remember being harassed by the owner and her friends on Facebook. It's nice to see her professionalism has yet to change. This woman cut my puli all over his body and on his testicles, which had doubled in size due to an infection. After claiming she knows how to work on pulik, she highly advised I shave him because his coat was "covered in mats" (a normal thing to start the process of cording a coat, which any respectable groomer would know). Obviously upset I left a comment on Facebook where she took it a little personal, asked her friends to attack me on my post, and then proceeded to share my personal information by posting my waiver (with my name, signature, and date) I signed on social media for everyone to see. On top of that I went in to speak with her and rather than apologize for traumatizing my dog and harming him she went ahead and insulted me. Said if I couldn't handle a high maintenance dog I shouldn't have one, and that maybe he really isn't a puli because he's "too small". Freddie weighs about 40lbs where as a typical male puli can weigh 25-35lbs. Anyway I realized I never had a chance to share this experience and would not want any other pets or pet owners to suffer. I just got freddie taken care of someplace else and he ran in the back because of how he was treated. I distinctly remember when I had to go back to show this nasty owner what she did to my dog he wouldn't even walk past the front door. This place abuses animals and should be ashamed to be still in business. Please please please find a groomer that will be kind to your pets and knows what they are doing. Please don't bring your beloved pets here for pampering. I brought both of my dogs in and neither was done well. My Maltese's cut was uneven with some parts not having been trimmed at all. My short haired terrier was supposed to have been given a De-shed treatment but was not properly brushed after the fact so I wound up paying over $50 for a simple bath. Bigger problems -First - none of the people in this salon seem to care. I greeted the groomers and asked a question and was completely ignored. I mentioned the de-shed issue to the bather checking us out and her answer was a dismissive - "I didn't do him". Second - while I was waiting for my pups, I watched as one of the groomers was working on a dog using clippers while on the phone. Another dropped her table from waist height to floor level in a free fall with a client on the table. (Not safe!). read more

I have used the self wash service, and have gotten my dog groomed by the owner for years and have always been very satisfied. My dog is an older dog and has trouble standing for long periods of time. The staff is always very kind and makes him comfortable while he is here. My other dog is also a little difficult (not great with other dogs) and they are still flexible when trying to get him in. The time before last I explicitly asked them not to cut the hair on my dog's back. I only wanted them to trim under his tail, his feet, and nails. I gave them another chance yesterday and they did it again. The only reason I switched to them was for the savings. I will never bring my dog back here. When I dropped her off, the receptionist was so unfriendly and didn't even greet us. I have a goldendoodle and her feet can get matted up so I told the girl to please try and keep her long and do what she can with the feet area. I use a special brush and get the matts out at home all the time, so I know it can be done. I went to pick up my dog and almost cried because I didn't recognize her. They had shaved her all down :( I never got a call to ask if it was okay. They told us that they had to do it because her feet were matted and the rest of her body would look funny if they just shaved her feet and legs. I was so upset because I know that if they took the time and had the patience, they could have done it. I would have even paid extra for the work if need be. read more

I felt like I was an inconvenience to his time and day. When I called to schedule an appointment, I didn't even know if I was calling the right place because all they said was "hello". They did not say what establishment they were. Sketchy and inappropriate. The man at the front desk also has a big mouth. He is rather rude and has an attitude whenever you say anything. This place is pathetic. I really hope the owners see that their employees are incredibly rude. In addition, they were supposed to give my golden retriever a bath and cut her hair and nails. They only cut her nails! Her hair was just as long as when I dropped her off! She didn't even look like they gave her a bath! I've witnessed them drag dogs to the point where they are choking. If they are willing to drag and choke OUR pets while we are watching, what are they doing behind our back? The place is rather dirty as well. We will need to find a new place to take our dog. First of all, the website says all will wear a mask, but NO ONE had a mask on. When I asked about it, the receptionist snickered. When called to pick up the dog, I took one look at the dog and said it looks like she needs a hair cut already! Lots of old hair growth on the legs but her belly was shaved bald. Really odd cut. Plus the dog wasn't even dry....very damp coat and it was snowing out. When I asked if they could trim the white old growth back, the young man said he would have to muzzle her again and it would be difficult to do..... So why not do it right the first time? He seemed rather put off and I didn't want to deal with this attitude. I felt it was best to get the dog out of there. She has been there before but am so disappointed in the attitudes and lack of caring. The dog shivered and shook all the way home. This place is a joke made an appointment for 10 am sharp. I asked how long it would take they told me over 2 hours...I have a 4 pound Yorkie When I asked why the told me I had 2 other dogs in front of mine.. Whats the point of making an appointment if they dont follow it? I live almost 20 miles away so I left my dog and started heading home . I got about 2 miles down the road and called to tell them I will be back in 5 minutes to get my dog they claimed they already gave her a bath.. When I got there they charged me $25 for the bath. I had my dog cut and went back with pictures showing her uneven coat her chest showed her skin , she looked terrible , manager said she has collick hair , well it never looked like that from other groomers . manager would do nothing,so I would not recommend they if you want your dog to have a good look. Very unfriendly. They pulled my dog by his collar when taking him back to the grooming area. My dog who has never been aggressive was suddenly "aggressive" I was told when picking him back up. I couldn't believe it. I wonder what they did to make my dog freak out. They didn't even finish cutting him around his face they said because they "had to muzzle" him. I had to pay full price and this place did a crappy job. I took him elsewhere and the groomer there said "where did you take him? They didn't even use scissors... Look how uneven this is!" I agree with some of the reviewers on here they alienated me on my 1st trip there!! The kids in front were super nice but the groomers are super nasty beware!! Right away one of the groomers wanted to see him and yells he is matted uhmmm no hes not he has curly hair! When I went to pick the dog up another groomer says he tried to bite me! In 10 years that he has visited groomers never have I been told he is aggressive! When I got home I looked in one of his ears and there was blood!! What the hell she did to him I dont know but I sure as hell wont be back! If they r nasty to clients can you believe how they must treat the poor animals?? I've taken my dogs here several times and the last two times my little boy was so scared to go back he put on the breaks. Today when he went back they dragged him the whole way by the leash and it broke my heart. She could have taken my other dog back first (who has no issue walking back) and then came and got my other dog and carried him back there. I can't get the look on his face as he was being dragged by the collar/leash around the corner to the room....I felt so sorry for him. read more

When I picked up my dog, I'll be honest, I thought he looked great! As soon as he saw me he ran up to me, jumped up on me, and kept pulling toward the door, I thought it was a little odd. He usually jumps up on me but never in such a hurry to leave. All day his behavior was odd, it wasn't until that night when he curled up next to me in bed that I found razor burn marks all over his belly and even the area he urinates from (he had whined earlier going to bathroom, no wonder why, it burned!) We're not talking one or two accidental cuts, these were all over. As I was inspecting, I noticed the area where his male parts used to be, was completely exposed red, raw skin, as if an entire layer of his skin was scraped off! Last night he was shaking terribly and he's just been curled up hiding since the incident (he is always in the same room as me. Twice, today and tonight, I had to actually search the house to find him) I had messaged the groomer PURRFECT FUR PETS in PLAINFIELD, IL and they did respond quickly saying he was badly matted and had no choice but to use a surgical knife and reminded me I signed a waiver my first visit a long time ago so they're not liable. Let me tell you, that is BULLSHIT. Groomers often charge extra for matted dogs, we all know this. I had brushed him and THOROUGHLY searched for mats before we went there, in fact, when we arrived, the girl said behind the counter he looks matted. I told her I'd like to know where because I can assure her he isn't. She got down on her knees, searched all over, and stupidly admitted she could only find a small one on his leg. When I called to schedule the appointment, they were booked solid, they put me on a cancellation list and a few hours later called and said they could squeeze me in at noon. I know damn well that they were busy and rushed, what I'm upset about most is that they tried to put the blame on me! I'm glad the girl there tried to say he was matted because it's now my proof that I was there as she inspected him and HE WASN'T! I have been a loyal customer to them, always raving about what a good job they do, but I will NEVER go back to them again and I beg you to not trust your dog with them. I am in tears writing this as I think about how uncomfortable my dog is right now and how he is suffering because of them.
