If I could give zero stars, I would. Pet owners deserve to know what happened here. I brought my cat in for a simple grooming service -- a belly trim and nail clipping. The entire appointment lasted five minutes, yet I was charged $96. My cat was returned to me with loose fur still hanging from her belly, knots still present, and her nails untrimmed, despite being billed for them. But the worst part came after we got home. My cat had a one‑inch cut under her right front leg -- in the exact area the groomer shaved. This wound required stitches. We do not shave or groom our cat at home, so the injury could only have occurred during the appointment. When I contacted the business, instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to deflect blame and suggest the injury happened elsewhere. The photos clearly show the shaved patch and the cut in the same location. Their explanation was not only inaccurate -- it was dismissive and unprofessional. A rushed five‑minute service, incomplete grooming, a serious injury, and then an attempt to deny responsibility. Pet owners should be aware of this before trusting this facility with their animals. When I started having this feline mobile service it cost $ 135.00 Cash Next I booked again it went up to $ 148.00, I told Jamie this is very strange with price going up and never notified. The first few dog grooming was great .The groom did a great job however the intake person taking the appointment appears unprofessional inexperienced on not know to schedule appointments and following up.l grew dissatisfied with the service like they are the only groom in town and l don't care.l was paying close to $200.00 and they were going to increase it because she is a big dog.Greedy l would say and the poor service with the intake person.l am disappointed with them and l would not recommend them unless they improve their business practices. read more

Unreliable, dishonest and not willing to take any initiative to fix their screwup. These people showed up late for a scheduled appointment to groom my 84-year-old mother's dog. They did not follow the very clear instructions to go to the dining room to get my mother if they were late, but instead lied about it and said they could not find her. They refused to take any initiative to fix their screwup by coming back at the end of the day, saying only that their "system" did not allow for that, and would only come back three weeks later. Showing up late, not following instructions, lying about that, and refusing to do anything outside the box to fix the problem... don't put your faith in these people. read more

One of the best ideas I ever had. I saw the Purrdy Paws Mobile Spa van on the road one day and because my job is of a graphic designer I loved the giant logo on their van and that's initially why I decided to give them a try. My cat is terrified to go in the cat carrier so this has been great and they've done the best job of trimming himi up (which is necessary for sanitary reasons) of anyone that has ever groomed him. I would recommend the Purrdy Paws Mobile Spa to anyone. read more

I didn't use the mobile spa. I went to the purrdy paws grooming salon at 732 bank st. I'm not sure if it's related to the mobile spa but I have to say they treated my rescued dog so well. Sometimes they don't pick up the phone. Sometimes they book an appointment and don't show up. Rest assured if they do show up, they'll be very late. This is a terrible service. Not worth your time and money. I'd give negative stars if that were an option. read more

Jayme was very unprofessional. She was 30 minutes late without a phone call or email. She did not complete the job on my one cat. He was left with a sloppy unfinished trim. She was very aggressive with him. While brushing his head in front of me she jerked his head back and he gasped. Like what did she do when I was watching? He has had severe anxiety after this appointment like I have never seen before. Her assistant was super sweet, kind and accommodating. Jayme was not polite. Rather smug. Didn't give me advice but rather told me what I should do with my cats. Did not deliver information in a polite manner but in a rude tone. I don't appreciate being talked down to. She actually rolled her eyes at me when telling me I should get a "certified" groomer when I move. read more

Well .. we've now had a few bad experiences there. First issue was that they double booked with one of our two dogs so they wanted me to come at the regular time for one dog and then a few hours later for other instead of having them done at the same time. Really frustrating considering I had a medical apt. And it ended up being rush hour. Second issue was recently when we booked one of our dogs just to park on the street (10 minutes prior to the spa opening) and the receptionist called saying that they apparently only had one groomer so we would have to wait an extra hour if not more .. so I walked in and asked what was going on. When booking online it booked us with the student is not yet qualified to do grooming (the receptionist herself) and so they couldn't groom our dog. So we left. 3rd issue: Received a call from the owner shortly after discussing last minute cancellation policy ... I was furious as the receptionist obviously didn't provide her boss with all details. So the owner offered to have the mobile spa come over and groom our dog and have a good discount just to have them come at our home 30 minutes late, and 25 minutes into the apt. Receive a call from the mobile groomer saying our dog has fleas?! So I went over and showed her the vet flea and tick medication he had taken a couple of weeks ago, she shaved him completely as he had matting but couldn't complete anything else due to the couple of fleas and I paid full pop (0 discount as initially agreed upon). We just had our dog checked the same evening and he has no fleas so I guess the mobile groomer found the couple that were on him ... anywho ... overall crappy experiences and we're done. read more

I saw the mobile van on my street and was talking to the employee about availability. They mentioned they had an appointment down the street but could return after as there was nothing scheduled. I called the number to book the appointment and the next availability was 2 weeks after. Definitely some miscommunication between the scheduler and the employee. Despite this I booked the appointment. Since it was two weeks later I was unable to keep my scheduled date and so I called to reschedule. They receptionist said she can only cancel my appointment and they would require someone else to call me back to re-book. I still have never received a call to schedule an appointment. They seem unreliable, unprofessional and unorganized. read more

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because I can't give less. We have a Puppy and Purdy Paws was recommended to us. The first appointment was cancelled because the mobile groomer had to go out of town. I understood that. We made a second appointment and no one showed up. No phone call, no reply to my inquiry why they didn't show up. Like I said, we have a puppy, Purdy Paws just lost a life time of business from us and having a puppy we come in contact with a lot of dog owners.. Not going to have nice things to say about them at all. read more

I think one out of five is generous. I would rate this business zero out of five. In my case: My first appointment was cancelled because her assistant did not show up for work. I did NOT receive a phone call, but an email was sent during the morning. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a computer during work hours. So, I patiently. I decided to check my emails 5 minutes to my appointment. I was very disappointed to see the cancellation. Do, two other dates were given. I accepted July 29th at 7:15 pm & sent an email. I did not receive a confirmation email by the owner. So, I sent her 'reminder" email on July 29, 2016 at 3:20 pm; saying I look forward to seeing her at 7:15 on July 29th. NO response! The owner NEVER showed up for the appointment. NO email. NO phone call. I left a voice mail on her cell phone. NO response! Think twice before calling! read more

Terrible service. We had the mobile spa come to groom our german shepard at our home and they did a very poor job. They barely groomed him and left him shedding the same amount of hair as before. Depsite our efforts at contacting them and raising our concerns, they have not taken any accountability or offered any sort of compensation for the poor quality work. read more

I have used Purrdy Paws mobile spa several times now for my 2 cats. Jayme is friendly, AMAZING with Zoe and Oreo, and calmly baths, grooms and trims my pets without stressing them out at all. So much easier than stuffing them in crates and carting them by car to a noisy stressful grooming salon. Well worth the money. I am a very satisfied customer. read more

I'd give no stars if I could. Went in to the Bank St. location for a scheduled dog grooming appointment this afternoon. After they had taken my dog to the back I asked when I should come back to pick her up. I did a double take when they responded that I would have to leave her for 3 hours. I have used the mobile service before. Both times it has taken less than an hour. When I enquired as to why it would take 3 times as long and why I hadn't been informed of this the girl/manager behind the counter said that I should have been when I booked the appointment and that it would take 3 hours because they were behind and that it was being done by a student groomer. She then looked up and pointedly asked if I wanted my dog back, as if I was now inconveniencing her with both my surprise at the time it would take and that it was being done by a student groomer. Your darn right I took my dog back! Sorry Purdy Paws, you just lost my business. With service like that good luck. read more

I agree completely with the prior post by Eric J. They are unreliable and dishonest. First, they cancelled because they had double booked. Then, twice in a row, they cancelled at the last minute. First, because they had delays and it was "too late" to work an extra 1/2 hour, and then because their van had broken down. I believed the van story at the time, but I now have my doubts. Finally, I was given the first appointment of the day on Sunday morning. I texted asking for a heads up on their actual arrival time. Five minute after the scheduled arrival time they texted back, saying they were coming from the east end and the going was slow due to blowing snow, but would text me 10 minutes before their arrival. I live in the east end, and yes there was some blowing snow but nothing unusual for Ottawa in January, and according to google maps there were no delays on the 417 (remember its early Sunday morning). After another 45 minutes I was the one to cancel. Cleary, when they said they were on the way to me, they were not. The entire purpose of their business is to offer convenience, but my experience from start to finish was of my time being wasted. Most importantly, after their blatant dishonesty how could i trust them with my pet. read more
