When Things Go Wrong They Remain Wrong! When Purolator Breaks They Hit the Brakes. Purolator's Robot Agent runs in circles with a useless amalgam of cut and paste frustration. I spent hours entering my phone number and email and clarification efforts. No one will contact you. Real life agents are powerless to take any action or resolve simple problems. They will not hear you in spite of oversimplifying and over explaining. Agents are trained to only provide excuses and they do that with ease. My parcel sits in Kamloops this past week waiting for address clarification yet no one has initiated contact to clarify anything with me. Amazon has used Purolator to send "Hundreds" of items to me over the years. Now, a parcel from Best-Buy with, "My exact same address," has permanently fallen off the rails. Ordered an item from out of town Burnaby B.C..As per tracking, was received at our local sorting facility 2 hours prior to leaving sorting delivery on the day specified for delivery in Kamloops B.C..Then when it wasn't received as specified on the date.Observed on purolators tracking page that it was "Delayed in transit due to missed connection". Called Purlator customer service and after on hold for 21 minutes,was told "the driver had his truck full and just didn't have room". REALLY??. Went to check at front door in the morning because Purolator said it would be there at 7:30a.m. ,nothing.Went back on Purolators tracking site to check status of delivery.It said "DELIVERED AT FRONT DOOR" in capitals.Went back to front door of home to check at went outside this time to look around.Nothing.OK,now I went to front of house at driveway 20' away and leaning against the corner of the house closest to the street was the box.This is not the front door and there is no front door to my home where the package was placed and the actual front door is in plain view from the front of home and where the driver actually placed the package.I,m sure this was more for the drivers convenience rather than the customers. This package was also susceptible to theft being in plain view from the street.Could this courier driver not have taken an extra 10 seconds of effort and actually place it at the "FRONT DOOR" as documented on their site??. On my video surveillance, he backed in to my driveway,which was a budget 3 ton cargo truck, stopping near the street and not backing up further to shorten his walk and made himself walk "40 feet further" than he had to and not placing the package where they said it was placed.Come on people,If you want to promote the service you say you do,then follow through and "do what you say you're going to do". I've used other smaller and larger couriers and their service is four star or better in comparison. In this case, it wasn't my choice to use this courier company.I wasn't surprised to read the many other 1 star reviews about Purolator's laziness.Perhaps Purolator and this driver will read this and make a change.I wont hold my breath.Will be requesting more competent courier in the future. The delivery drivers for Purolator have to be the laziest people in the world. I does not matter from whom I get a delivery from, if they use Purolator the driver either does not even get out of the vehicle or knocks on the garage door instead of the house front door. Total BS. Both delivery attempts were recorded as 7:25am. Both my room mate and I were awake at that time and there was no attempt made. I even looked at the vehicle tracks in the snow of my driveway and no footprints were there. If I wanted to go into town to pick up my purchase I would have bought it in town and not even had it delivered. Total BS. read more
