I went in to Purolator at 1330 Hawthorne Road, Ottawa, this morning to ship my granddaughters "left behind" house keys to Kingston. I was so impressed by the lady behind the counter. The place was very busy, a lineup. She was so pleasant, helpful, smiling and efficient. It was a pleasure to be served by her. I looked at my receipt and I think her name was "Nalie". read more

Awful experience. Terrible customer service. They lost my shipment and it took multiple calls and emails to find out any information. It came down to, employees not doing their jobs properly. The bin was not scanned when removed from the truck and put one some other truck with no tracking. They closed the investigation because it's lost and no reimbursement for the items. I entered into a contract with Parcelz Ottawa to have a suitcase and its contents to be collected from Fairmont Hotel and delivered to a hotel in Montreal. I also paid a premium for insurance. The delivery was subcontracted to Purolator. It was collected on the 7th July for delivery the following day. It did not arrive and as far as I am aware has not been located to date as I have not received any update since 25th July. read more

Had to do address change, did it in plenty of time abd still they cant seem to have it fixed

My wife and I made an order with Cozy which consisted of two packages. One package was delivered on the Monday night by an excellent driver who called ahead and the package was delivered effectively. second package was on a different truck with a driver who made no attempt to reach us but left a hastily written slip telling us the package would be available to pick up at the pick up depot way across town. I want to point out this driver arrived around 10 mins after the first driver. We were not happy about having to travel all that way because the driver couldn't do his job properly so I called Purolator and was informed that they were experiencing higher than normal call volumes (surprise not) I waited an hour for an agent who told me the package would not arrive the next day (Tuesday) but certainly it would be delivered Wednesday, we stayed home in good faith as to be present for the courier who never showed. Wednesday night I called an agent , another wait of about an hour. I was told definitely Thursday , again no one showed. Another call to Purolator and once more we. were assured that delivery was going to be Friday. No notification that the package was out for delivery only a note that it had gone to a sorting office. absolutely no indication or warning that the package would be delivered that day so my wife and I headed out to catch up on business due to being tethered to the apartment for three days, so no one was home when the driver delivered. I spoke to an agent this time waiting an hour and a half. She informed me that the package would definitely arrive Monday. Monday we left the down stairs door open to the annoyance of the other tenant (its cold here) Had a huge sign say WE Are Home and the telephone number in huge letters. At 3:15 a notice came through saying the driver couldn't drop off because no one was home. this was categorically untrue. Broken , I thought Ive got really no choice but to wait for them to contact me to pick it up at the depot. Which I did the day after 3 buses and a long walk in a snow storm. When I handed over the slip the clerk said, "your package isn't here" it's at some hardware store on the other side of town. biting my tongue and pressing on to the hardware store on the other side of town and three hours later I had my package, but it was too much work. Rewind to being back in the Cozy store on Rideau street when the shop assistant told us Purolator will be delivering,...my heart sank because life has taught me that this company has caused us nothing but grief in the past but I thought lets give them another chance. This was that one more chance and never again. Any company that uses Puro-Muchlater will lose a sale. disgusted and resentful. read more

First a mechanical problem in Calgary, delay. Second, can't find my address (missing buzzer) but office accepts packages. They left, I call and leave my buzzer number they promise next day delivery. Next day, no delivery. Depot 15 minutes away, they say takes 48hours to reprocess, I can't pick it up. I ask for courtesy and have it early delivery next day, nope. They spew policy and tell me to be patient. Today, delivery only by end of day. Worst of the worst disgusting experience of my life. I have been in customer service for over 25 years and have never been treated in such a way nor would I ever tolerate one of my staff doing so. Shameful! read more

Fake service. Claimed they attempted delivery and I wasn't there. But I was there the whole time. My buzzer never rang. No one ever knocked. And of course they couldn't leave a notice, but just sent an email. How could they leave a note when they never came into the building! What a scam! This is the second time this happened. I did their chat online, and the person just said "I apologize" but that's that. Tough. Well, I will NEVER buy anything online from a company that ships Purolator. Worst delivery company out here . I have never seen a company hold a package and claim to deliver and never even try to . I have cameras out front my door and the delivery guy tried to say he was there and left a note. Well buddy not even a Purolator truck was in my yard and I have the proof . Terrible delivery service!! They leave parcels in the lobby rather than delivering to apartment door like the other delivery companies.

Unbelievably bad at their job. Claim my home doesn't exist yet i've been watching a Purolator truck deliver packages to my neighbors across the street. This issue has been going on since October of 2019, the manager was supposed to call me in November, obviously never did. I'm at the point now where i want to stand in the middle of the road (an 80km/h road) to stop the truck and have a chat. There is 0 attempt to help from their side of things, only people who offer any help are those on the phone which have nothing to do with this location. As a result of this, Amazon has conducted an investigation into no longer using them as a service - to which they have done exactly that. Now every package i get from Amazon, is from either Canada Post, Fedex or CanPar - all WAY more reliable. ALWAYS chose NOT to use Purolator and if the shipper insists, don't buy! read more

If there is a 0 rating, thats what they would get. If I have a choice to use a different courier, I would, unfortunately the seller chose Purolator. Driver "supposedly" attempted delivery at 9:45am, we have 3 people at home since 8am, no one heard a knock or a door bell....I need this package right away and now I have to wait for another 3 DAYS!!!! Never deliver items through these guys. UNPROFESSIONAL. They had an item for me from Amazon, didn't type in my buzzer number, didn't call but just left when they realized that (obviously) my apartment door was locked. You'd be doing yourself a favour by taking your business elsewhere. read more

Purolator has been the most unreliable courier I've ever dealt with. Similar to what other people have said, there is never any notification when a delivery attempt has been made. This most recent time I found out 2 days later that the delivery was unsuccessful as the address was "incomplete". No attempt was made to make me aware of the situation and for a very time-sensitive order this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the address that was provided is a business address I've used before that Purolator was able to deliver to. Attempts to call the Purolator number to rectify the situation were unsuccessful...when I made a selection via their automatic phone system, I was promptly disconnected. Three times. read more

The only reason I have clicked on one star is that there is no possibility to give a zero rating. I live in is a senior residence. The front door is always open and there is always a receptionist. I order quite a bit from Amazon.ca. Once again, for the second or third time, Purolator claimed that they could not get into the building and only let information in the tracking section, never let me know personally. Delivery had been promised for Friday. When I discovered the fake problem at around 6:30 PM, I called Purolator . I was told that they could only deliver on Tuesday! When I was in business, I never used this ineffective company. I have reported this to Amazon. read more

Dishonest drivers, I was waiting all day my package sitting in front of my door, I was also tracking and finally I saw message saying "attempted to deliver receiver unavailable " he never come to my area, drivers are liars and not happy to there job they don't care the customers, this is the worst shipping company, don't used. read more

Just received a parcel shipment from Purolator. Their app said it was delivered to the door. Now you think that would mean the front door of the house, not in front of the garage door at the front of the property. It's bad enough when they (shippers) don't ring the door bell or knock but delivering a parcel properly and leaving it plain sight for everyone to see and potentially steal ... simply inexcusable. read more
