Green spinach sauce noodles and steak a medium rare.

Yummy yummy Peruvian ceviche and leche de Tigre. We drove 8 hours to get some good Peruvian. Glad we can count on a good meal at Puro Peru.

The ceviche was amazing! The right amount of acid and corn with the fish was right on point. We also had chicha morada with the meal and they make it just like we do at home. The food was hot and fresh and we really enjoyed it. When we come from Reno, we will visit each time.

Beef stew with cute side of rice

I don't have any experience with Peruvian food so I don't have anything to compare it to. I got something that was labeled as beef stew with rice . The beef stew was two large chunks of beef which were covered in a tasty green sauce. It was delicious but I was expecting smaller pieces of beef . The rice had a a cute garnish - the outside of the rice was crispy which was nice. I wish the rice had more flavor The food took a long time to Come out - there were 8 of us and some people got their food much sooner than others so I am Guessing their kitchen and staff are small - so if you need a quick meal this might not be the place for you The portions I thought were good for the prices charged - I was full

I've been here a few times and the food is always great. The steak, chicken, vive he is all great. The food is always plentiful and and mostly need a to-go box when you leave. Definitely worth the price. The servers are really nice and helpful but do expect to wait a bit of time occasionally either for seating or for food.

Food was great people were really kind and helpfully

Came for my aunt birthday. We had an amazing time, they were doing karaoke and dancing. We got great food, very flavorful and huge portions!

We were really excited to try this place but the reviews were disheartening. I'm so glad we still came because this place was so so good. Portions reflect the price. We ate until we were content and left with full boxes. Everything was so flavorful and tasted fresh. Will be back to try more.

Been here a couple times prior to this review. The service is hit or miss but they are good when they see you are in need of something. The place seems very welcoming as you walk in there is a waiter or waitress there to greet you each time I've come here. After being seated they will serve you two sauces along with some salted corn nuts. The green sauce is by far the superior tasting sauce of the two. Decided to try one new dish this visit and while it was tasty something seemed lacking. The chicken with rice if I remembered correctly was listed as bbq chicken but the chicken looks like it was pan fried. The ceviche was the reason I seem to come back for each time. There a nice tangy to the ceviche mix. The sweet potato adds a little sweetness to the dish to help balance it with the large corn? Rounding out the dish.

I have always had a love for Peruvian food, and any time I see a new Peruvian restaurant, I make sure to stop in. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It may be unassuming on the outside, but everything dish I have tried here has been incredible. Their portions are generous and their sauces are authentic and flavorful. They have different sodas and desserts from South America and provide a great experience for anyone wanting quality food.

This place was absolutely amazing. I am not even sure the names of the dishes because we told the waitress to order the most popular dishes. Place was packed on a Saturday night. Bill was around 40$. Can't wait to go back

The best peruvian food in town! Great food, excellent customer service; they also have shows for the families Friday and Saturday nights.

This place is good. We celebrated my b-day here two weeks ago. The owner and manager treat you like they're family. Food is also good.

Red Fuego I visited…read moreRed Fuego at Traverse Mountain after hearing several good recommendations, so I arrived with fairly high expectations. When I got there, the restaurant was clean and well organized, and there were not many customers at the time, which made the atmosphere feel calm and relaxed. The service was average. It wasn't unfriendly, but it also wasn't particularly warm or memorable. I ordered the arroz chaufa, and in terms of flavor I have to say it was very tasty. The rice itself had great seasoning and a really nice flavor. However, the dish was a bit disappointing because it was almost entirely rice--the chicken was practically nonexistent. For a dish like this, you expect a better balance of ingredients, and unfortunately the main protein was missing. Sadly, this made the overall experience not the best, especially considering the positive recommendations I had heard before visiting. I hope they can improve the consistency of their dishes and the proportion of ingredients, because the flavor of the rice shows that the kitchen has the potential to deliver a much better experience.

The main dining room smelled like sewer. We had to move upstairs…read more The fountain drink machine was out of ice, and the Diet Coke was completely out of syrup. When we alerted the staff, we were met with indifference and it was not fixed even though we had paid for sodas. The chicken was super oily and made the salad lettuce inedible because it was brown & wilted from the oil. Sadly I will not be back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. I only had one complaint, The music was a little loud. The sound system is great and I loved the authentic music but the baseline was pumping loud enough to hurt my ears. I'd recommend adjusting the volume or the mix to make it a little more comfortable. Overall I loved this experience and will definitely want to come again. No pictures, sorry.
