We tried a seafood dish with breaded fish fillet & other seafood like calamari, mussels, shrimp & even baby octopus in a rich creamy sauce served w/ rice. This was definitely my favorite dish. I got the Huancaina saltado which was a lomo saltado w/ a heaping portion of fettuccine noodles in a creamy sauce. The steak and stir fried veggies were good but the sauce & noodles were kind of bland. We also tried Rubi's Famous Causa Rellena, essentially like a potato salad type of cake. Alright but wouldn't order again. We also tried one of their soecials which was a mix of 3 different seafoods: a ceviche, shrimp chaufa and fried calamari. The calamari was just fine and the ceviche wasn't too good - fish cuts were too chewy & not good. We enjoyed The chaufa tho.

Red Fuego I visited…read moreRed Fuego at Traverse Mountain after hearing several good recommendations, so I arrived with fairly high expectations. When I got there, the restaurant was clean and well organized, and there were not many customers at the time, which made the atmosphere feel calm and relaxed. The service was average. It wasn't unfriendly, but it also wasn't particularly warm or memorable. I ordered the arroz chaufa, and in terms of flavor I have to say it was very tasty. The rice itself had great seasoning and a really nice flavor. However, the dish was a bit disappointing because it was almost entirely rice--the chicken was practically nonexistent. For a dish like this, you expect a better balance of ingredients, and unfortunately the main protein was missing. Sadly, this made the overall experience not the best, especially considering the positive recommendations I had heard before visiting. I hope they can improve the consistency of their dishes and the proportion of ingredients, because the flavor of the rice shows that the kitchen has the potential to deliver a much better experience.

We ordered the seafood trio and the rice was reheated, dry, and gummy. We also ordered a chicken chaufa, and the rice was overcooked and completely flavorless. In addition, we ordered a chicken milanese; the salad was not fresh and the chicken wasn't either. The food was extremely bad and overpriced. We literally wasted $91 on flavorless food.

So we waited about 50 minutes. And we had to make sure that the order was on its way just because of past experiences with my order being cancelled. so I kept checking in we saw the little car moving along the way and we got so excited that when it finally got here ripped into the bag. Upon opening it we noticed that there was this first delicious looking meal. there was a nice big steak that was sitting on top of a bed of noodles fettuccine is this white cream sauce that was just amazing it was so good. The next dish I pulled out was the Peruvian chicken fried rice OMG that was probably the best fried rice I've ever had and I love fried rice. The third dish was my kids'. It is kids chicken and french fries with rice. they absolutely ate it up. both my kids ate off the one kids order. it was great enough food for two kids for a kids meals amazing. The last one was a little odder than I the first ones. it was a box full of seafood, fried seafood which ended up being just amazing as well. this whole thing was just incredible I am so impressed with this restaurant and we probably will more than likely order again very soon because it was that good. Keep up the good work.

The Lomo Saltado is delish served in steak gravy with rice and fries and cilantro. Pedro the owner is super accommodating and always caters to every table's needs. The pastry is crisp and flaky on the outside and slightly doughy in a delicious creamy, flavor rich, way on the inside. The seasoning of the meat stuffing was so wonderfully savory. It is a delicious salsa flavor I have never had elsewhere. The whole experience is Perfection!! The price and value are absolutely spot on. Thanks. I am so incredibly excited they now have a location to pickup same day and order on the regular. I have had them two times at the winterfest market at Union Middle School. Last year they had not opened a location yet and I did not know how to find them because I don't have social media. Now they are open weekly for business!!! Please support this small family business.
