My first impression made me a little concerned about what I had gotten myself in for. (You will be hoping that you're not waiting long in the waiting room.) The upshot is that the prices are also lower for first time customers, compared to other CBD dentists in the area. Fortunately, the dentist I saw for a basic scale and clean was quite helpful. Sometimes a half-hearted generic flossing lecture from dentists is easy to ignore. But she was able to use a mini camera and x-rays during my visit to quickly and effectively illustrate some areas to keep an eye on. With those concrete visuals, my flossing regime has just gotten a lot better! At the end, she even spent extra time personally making sure that the billing for my insurance was correct. My impression is that she is someone who looks after her patients.

The dentist I didn't see for that long, but he was very straight forward and approachable, I will have a better feeling when I get my xrays next time. My hygenist was young, friendly and did a good job on being gentle even with the sonic teeth cleaner thing. As a first time patient you get a nice candle ( I know, it was a little weird but hey a nice free candle is always appreciated) a bunch of travel toothpaste, gum and other stuff. Overall I was exteremly satisfied, the only thing I can complain about is that it felt *slightly* rushed. Maybe because the office, which is in two seperate parts of the building was larger and had more staff than I have been used to. I am very happy with this ultra modern dentist and felt like they hire friendly knowledgeable people. Time will tell if it continues to refine its services or if it declines and tries to pump as many people as possible through its doors. I am hoping for the former.

Dr Olstein just waves his magic 'wand' around your sore tooth and within minutes you are NUMB! The clinic also offers sleep dentistry too. My partner was super pleased with this clinic, she had been fearing a visit to the dentist for such a long time and is now the biggest fan of Dr Olstein. I had been suffering with a broken tooth for a month and it had gotten to the point where something had to be done. I did some research and discovered that Dr. Olstein offeres sleep dentistry. I liked the sound of it, but after enquiring into the cost realised that it may not suite my budget. I decided to go see Dr Olstein and see what he was like. My experience at his clinic was wonderful. Right from the moment we walked in the door. The dental assistant was so lovely. She was so reassuring, gentle and professional. Dr Olstein himself was such a sweet man. He spoke to me about the possibility of keeping my busted up tooth with a root canal, but i wanted it gone. There was NO NEEDLE, he used some kind of magic called a wand. The Wand is essentially a computer-controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anaesthetic is controlled by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore comfortable. I honestly didn't feel a thing. Dr Olstein was so lovely. I will be going back to him for all my dental requirements. I have even recommended him and his practice to people.

I have been going here for about 6 years so I have seen a few doctors at this practice. I prefer to stick with one when possible but sometimes schedules and urgent issues don't allow that. The doctors (Dr Oh, Dr Khoo, Dr Civitico) I have seen are all very good. They provide thoroughness and consistency that you just don't get at the big commercial chain practices. They do charge above the Medicare fee and ask you to pay the entire fee up front but they do forward the details to Medicare on your behalf for reimbursement directly from medicare for the standard amount. They have an onsite collection centre for HealthScope pathology so you can one stop shop if needed.

Whilst Collins Place does bulk bill, a regular appointment will still need you to pay a certain amount over and above that. After your Medicare rebate, it works out to be about $15. They do however bulk bill vaccinations and the full cost is covered. I started going to CPMC when I worked across the road... and whilst I no longer work there, I still make the trip into the city because the experience here is consistently great... and when you're sick, you want consistency and predictability, right?
