I am 65 years old and had to have 3 failing molars removed on my upper left jaw, dr liu to the rescue! I am well on my way to getting dentures, bad genetics! Root canals do not work for me tried 5 only 1 took i guess some teeth are just rebellious! My dental work can sometimes be quite intimidating to some dental professionals! dr liu said give the antibiotics a chance to work one additional day! in all my years never had smoother extractions and i have had quite a few now! dr. liu kicked but, smoothest ever, I highly recommend her services worth every penny and more! read more

Called several times & left messages. It took them 2 days to return the calls. As of today the billing issue is still not being resolved.

The staff is extremely friendly! Very gentle when cleaning your teeth, never went home with my mouth/teeth hurting.

Gross. The entire place is Dirty! Did not see one person wash their hands. Behind, low staffed, unhygienic. Would not recommend.

Upon booking the appointment for my four-year-old son I explained I wanted to book with whoever could get him in the soonest due to an infection that landed him in the ER. They were able to see us the next day. The assistant attempts to take 2 xray scans with no luck due to my son being in pain. She then says the dentist already said it'll be fine without the xray. (Why was it attempted then; for money! $$$$$) Then the dentist walks in and says that unfortunately due to my sons age (something they were aware of at the time of booking) they were unable to do anything for him him and had to refer us to a pediatric dentist. Why was this information not brought to my attention at the time of booking to avoid this pointless bill!?. I honestly feel used and taken advantage of. This was very disheartening considering I even went with them after they told me they accepted our insurance but it was out of network. (They did tell me at the time of booking) Again going with whoever could see my son the soonest to get him the help he needed, FAST. Now it just seems that they seen out of network and thought we can get MORE MONEY out of this a patient even though we won't actually be able to do anything for him since he's 4. I can't confirm that was their intent however that's how it feels. Very disappointed! read more

I'm a new patient here within the past year and have had 2 cleanings and 2 emergency visits. Have loved them and recommended them to everyone until the most recent trip. I broke a tooth and they got me in right away but UPON ARRIVAL told me they'd have to charge me a $23 inflation charge on top of any service. Tooth requires a filling they didn't have time to do so, of course, you have to come back to pay a 2nd inflation charge. Got to the checkout to make the appointment and they can't get me in to fix my tooth for 8 days!!! And that $23 fee? It's if you see a hygienist. The fee for seeing the dentist is $49 per visit!!! I refused to pay it because they didn't tell me in advance not even when I made the appointment. No voicemails, no letters sent out like a proper business would do. I was so mad I almost blacked out, heh, so I forget what they said my estimated costs for the repair were but it was like $100...$50 something for the portion not covered by insurance and the $49. Inflation fee??? C'mon...we're all hit hard by the economy right now and making our own budget adjustments to survive. Perhaps letting go one of the angry office women would help theirs. I've called around and no other dentist is doing this. The kicker was 3 things: 1) Gal at the front desk lied when she said I knew about the fee beforehand because she called me the day before. Uh, no don't think so, honey. Showed her my call log and reminded her I made the appointment just the previous day and she never mentioned it. She then said "well, we try to let everyone know in advance". 2) They try to make it sound like they're saving you money by charging you this fee because otherwise they would have to go out of network with every insurance company which would result in their services costing me more money so it's a "savings". Please don't insult me. As if customers don't have the right to take their business elsewhere. 3) The unpleasant woman checking me out was so rude about the whole issue so I asked to speak to an office manager, owner, etc. Out walks the dourest faced woman of them all stating she is the business manager asking what she can do. I let her know the fee was not communicated prior to my visit so I wouldn't be paying it. Told her they should have been more forthright about the fee actually being $23 and not $49. Told her I was not happy they couldn't fix my tooth that day and certainly not happy it would be 8 days before they could. She straight faced looks at me and said "So what do you want? I'm not going to stand here and argue this with you all day". Nothing. I want nothing from this office ever again which is a real shame and hurts me deeply because I love Dr. Ollom and will really miss my hygienist, Holly. She made getting my teeth cleaned a real treat. The tech I saw yesterday was also fabulous beyond belief and I feel bad I forget her name but she's worth a mention here too. I like the care and the people. I am not happy about having to pay a fee on top of what is submitted to my insurance. This amount is due to inflation. So raise the price to my insurance company. I pay for dental insurance and have NEVER had to pay a fee that doesn't even go to my insurance company. You don't have to make it harder on your patients. I have referred co workers and friends to this practice but that won't happen again. I hate to leave but that might be a possibility as well. read more

I went to PS for new dentures. Went for consult decided against implants because of cost. I needed to have remaining lower teeth removed and temporary denture made before I could get my new set. My upper needed replacing to go with the new permanent lower one. Got a cost sheet for all work needed. On return visit I paid the entire bill for ALL work needed even though I had to wait six months for my lower gums to heel. Every visit I made sure all costs were paid and my permanents were included. Even talked about how my upper needed to be changed because it was what they termed as a "frown" setting. And I talked to them about making my new ones whiter. They replied they would have to wait for that till my permanents. My temporary lower was colored to match my existing upper So I go in today, way past my 6 month point because they never called me back. So when I called them no one was in the office who could help me they were going to call me back. Never happened!! I went today cause I called a couple of days ago to ask why no one ever returned my call. So when I first got there they show me where they want an additional 2400. Nope I said it's paid in full. No more money from me. So then all of a sudden " oh yes it is paid. This is just to let you know what it would be for today. I said really? Why would you need to show me that and have me sign it when no money is owed??? Waste of time!! Probably weren't expecting me to challenge them!?!? So I get back in the room and the girl is not prepped for me. Needs to run downstairs for more supplies. ( which happened at every visit). Then she asks to make an impression of my upper denture?? I said why? You need to make it from my mouth. These dentures are not correct. She leaves the room again and a dr comes in to check my mouth and they try to talk me into have my lower jaw bone shaved down for a better fit. I said no! Would've had to wait for that to heal then. And that would've been an extra cost. Here to find out the assistant didn't know I was there for uppers too! ( all new office people and manager now from when I first came to them) After all my questioning them on earlier visits about a FULL new set and making sure prices were correct and I was all paid up. They still are telling me prices have risen and they didn't know I wanted uppers too?!? Bullshit!!! Why would we talk about my uppers being in a frown format and waiting to pick tooth color until we did my full permanent set? I think they purposely talk in generic ice so they can charge you more later down the road. I said I paid up front to lock in the price. So now I wait. Nothing done today but wasting my time. I want what I paid for or all my cash I paid up front!!! Record conversations because their paperwork is so busy and confusing it's all up for interpretation!!! Basically my word against theirs!!! Get an exam and a cleaning every 6 months. Moved here from TX after retiring. Had my last exam in TX, 6 months prior, with no problems. Went here for a new patient exam and cleaning. Had no problems with my teeth or gums going in for this first time visit. Of course they did the exam and 2 types of x-rays, very good. Left without them willing to clean my teeth, said there were too many issues, they also gave me an estimate for a Treatment Plan in the amount of $4118.00. 2 weeks later I had the opportunity to travel back to Houston and visited my dentist, he indicated there were some potential gum disease issues around an old wisdom tooth, but could be handled by an extraction, did not need that tooth anyway. I have been going to this office for many years. I love my hygienist Deb, Dr. Campbell and Dr. Chad. I have had implants at this office twice and am very happy with them. My husband is now also going to this office. He went for a cracked tooth to have it checked out. They made him pay $49 up front. We have Denta Dental and are paying $100 plus a month for this coverage. I got the Delta claim, and that $49 fee was not even submitted to insurance and says on the dental bill "NO BILL INSURANCE". What is up with this? I pay good money for my dental coverage and now you are billing every patient a $49 fee in addition and not submitting to insurance. Just another way to gouge the patient. I have never heard of this practice and am not happy about this. Over the years I have referred many friends to this office. I will stop referring any of my friends to this office for this reason and this reason alone as the care provided there is great. I also may have to find a new dentist for my husband and myself. I am sure there will be many lost patients over this greedy change in practice. My low score in stars is related only to the greedy charges to patients and not the service which is outstanding. Inflation is not a reason to gouge the patients who are also paying more for everything else. Renegotiate your dental contracts and covered amounts as most of us are paying good money to have our dental insurance and should not be expected to pay an additional fee that you have decided to charge. Ridiculous. Word of mouth is the best way to get your voice heard so I shall be sure to warn anyone who asks not to go there unless they are loaded and can afford to pay this extra fee. I would also like to add that my husband waited 2 weeks to get in for this appointment for the broken tooth and of course they did not have time to fix it that day and now want him to come back so they can once again charge hm another $49 fee that will not be submitted to insurance. That will be an extra $98 over and above what the insurance is paying plus our 50% co-pay as well as the deductible. read more

I went to pure smiles to have my mouth fixed about 3 months ago now. I was put under cause I had several fillings needed to be done. No biggy. Issue comes in after. Everything with covid started. I was understanding. but When they did fit me in because I expressed severe discomfort they brushed my worries aside like it was nothing. The fillings they did actually caused my teeth to shift. I can no longer get floss between 2 of my teeth cause they moved. And now the entire top part of my jaw actually hurts to chew on and is getting progressively worse. I tried many times to contact them and they don't return calls. To the point I stopped trying. They messed up my mouth. Seriously messed it up. cause where fillings were put it hurts to chew. Teeth are squished together so I can't floss in parts. I called them out on facebook warning people and they got upset about it. Also be warned they make you sign a paper saying if they screw up your mouth you won't press chargers. That should have been a red flag for me to begin with. But when you are on Buckeye insurance you don't have many choices for help. There was a reason I hadn't seen a dentist in so many years. Pure Smiles just more instilled my fear of dentist's from what happened to my mouth. I am still now looking for anyone who will see me and take my insurance as well so I have to continue dealing with the pain I am in. That they caused to my mouth. Along with the other cavities I still have that need work. Guys save yourself a trip. Do NOT go to them and risk your mouth being screwed up. You only get one set of teeth. Make sure they get the best treatment. And if they don't. Make sure you go to a place you can file charges against them if they do jack up your mouth and won't fix it. read more
