My daughter had just…read moregotten her braces on and was already dealing with the normal discomfort, but it turned out there was actually a wire left sticking out that was poking her and causing unnecessary pain. It was clearly something that should have been caught before we left the office. Today, I tried to get it fixed as soon as possible. I called multiple times with no answer, and there was no clear information anywhere indicating they were closed. After getting no response, I even drove all the way there, only to find out the office was closed without any notice. It's frustrating and concerning that there was no communication about their closure, especially when patients may be dealing with urgent issues like this. Leaving a patient, especially a child in pain because of something preventable, and then being completely unreachable, is unacceptable. I expected much better care and communication. All in all the place is great. This first time I have had any issue!

The new orthodotists name is not on the door and no information is posted about her online. I honestly was NOT impressed with her and if we were not so far into my daughters treatment would change orthodontist offices. I recommend finding a local NON-corporate owned orthodontics office where the orthodontist is invested in their practice so you know you will be working with a single person instead of musical orthodontist which is what the Plain City Smile Doctors has become.

I was not happy with the previous outcome because my midlines were not aligned, there were big gaps between molars and bites were off but I was told that I was just being a perfectionist and that was the best result I could get. I didn't believe him so I decided to get a second opinion. After Dr.Gu checked my teeth, he validated my concerns and came up with a plan to fix all three issues. He was able to utilize Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADS) which most American orthodontists don't know or are afraid to do. Throughout the treatment, he was so patient and professional. He always explained to me what's happening and made sure to answer my questions and solve any issues immediately.
