The facility is well upkept, and no equipment was falling apart or anything. It was also a nice touch to have gigantic posters of the different algorithms to glance over in the rooms. Our instructor Melody was phenomenal! I learned she came from the Gainesville location. She made the experience worthwhile/exciting while not drowning us with information overload. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Her personality made the experience less stressful as it was new ACLS certification for me and I hate testing. We watched the lectures and had more of a big group discussion after each one, where the class lead, and she helped "fill in the gaps." When I had clarifications or wasn't too confident on something, she took the time to listen and answer my questions, along with providing tips on how to "digest" the information or giving tips or mnemonics to help remember certain information. I didn't feel rushed when stopping the discussion to ask a question, nor did she make me feel "dumb" for asking. She also emphasized that even though everything is generally important to understand, she also took the time to tell us what's "commonly seen" or not seen in practice. As I've stated, I hate testing. But after doing all the videos, discussions, and mega code (hands on things), I felt more at ease. And even after finishing the exam, she allowed us to stay and discuss/clarify any confusions we had on the exam, and explain the reasoning. The lobby is very pleasant and professional looking, but they make you sign-in at this other section and it in general very roundabout and slightly confusing on where to go. You also have a choice of male or female therapist (or either) when you call to make an appointment which was a nice touch. The room is dimly lit and is divided by curtains with other appointments with music playing in the background. You can hear other people talking which isn't too distracting but might be for some people. My therapist was very professional and told me I could undress down to whatever I was comfortable doing. It was my first time getting a massage, but she was very sweet and offered me a full body massage, which felt amazing. Very excited to come here again!

The process is as follows: You come in, you fill out a sheet about what parts of your body you need/want worked on, a student comes in and talks to you about what you filled out on the sheet, you walk into a room divided by sheets. You undress to your level of comfort and the student focuses on the areas you talked about. You can talk as much, or as little, as you wish to the student. I heard a lot of conversations going on (my student was very quiet, so not too much communication going on there) After your massage you get dressed, head back to the reception area, make comments on the student's book and you talk to the student about how your massage went. Then you pay and you're off to your regular day. My boyfriend and his dad had really good massage therapist students, while mine was so-so and very awkward (her name escapes me at the moment). Anyway, I greatly recommend this place. It's a great value for a mediocre-to-good massage!

I just finished taking my first CPA test. It was audit, and that was an experience. I was using a…read moreCPA review system that uses the Wiley book for the multiple choice questions as homework. I thought I had studied enough for the test as I was getting high 70%'s on multiple choice questions. I was feeling confident that I would do well. Then a friend recommended using the Gleim software to study the multiple choice questions. Imagine my surprise when I took my first multiple choice testlet with the Gleim software and only scored a 50%. I was upset, why did I do so badly with the software? I believe it is because the Gleim is similar to the CPA test. Gleim gives you the option to mix the questions up or give you them in the order you study them. The Gleim software has many options to choice from to prepare for the CPA test. You can choose how many questions in a testlet (from 1 to 2046), as well as which topics to test on (you can choose all topics, just one topic to focus on, or a few specific topics). Gleim offers the two test taking options, a test session and a study session. I recommend study session. When I am trying to learn, it is always best to know right away if I am right or wrong, and the study session lets me know immediately if the answer is correct or not and the reason why. I really like that, because the reason I choose that answer is fresh in my memory and I will have immediate reinforcement of a correct theory, or will have an incorrect theory/thought corrected so I do not have the same issue/error in the future. Whether you choose the test or study session does not affect the performance analysis Gleim offers. It shows the breakdown of the last test taken, the last three test taken and a cumulative score. I feel that the grade for the last three give a better feel to figuring out where my weaknesses were in the test. Then I selected those sections to be tested on to strengthen my skills in those areas. I would recommend taking at least one of the test sessions before going to the actual test. It is very similar to what the CPA test is like and will make it a little less intimidating. I wish the CPA test showed you immediately if the question was right or wrong like Gleim does. In the end, I was scoring in the 70%'s on the study sessions when I left to go take the test. I will not know my score for another month, but I know that using this software helped me in preparing for the test in a way that I would not have gotten from a book, and had I not used it I would defiantly not have passed, using only the methods I was using. Hosted by the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department, the Taste Panel welcomes anyone to come in between 10am-3pm to participate and rate various food items for special vouchers that are treated as cash at any UF eatery. The amount of vouchers can vary from $1-$10 and include anything from local fruit to alcohol. Although there is not a panel everyday there will be a sign outside the building indicating when a tasting is available. Additionally anyone can get put on the Taste Panel listserv to get special tasting opportunities for great incentives such as a $50 Publix gift card as well as notices when a panel is occuring. Most panels take less than 5 minutes and there have been more than a few times where I have found my midday snack craving satisfied by a visit to the Panel. The school teachers are not trained to deal with students that have any type of learning…read moredisability, and do not have any other staff to support children with learning disabilities. Their "Title One" program is poor and does not really offer help to the student, is more of a "detention" than learning. Homework and responsibility of learning are constantly being shoved to the parent because the teachers are busy teaching "the FCAT" so that they all can pass and the school can get a good score. There is not real care about the children well being and future by any of the staff, including the principal. When presented with the challenge of a student that cant "run with the pack", the teachers will immediately label your child as lazy, depressed, among other names. They will offer you no testing of any sort or any kind of assistance to try to determine if your child has a disability or does not actually want to do the work. My experience and my child's experience with this school were nothing short of a nightmare. I would recommend being proactive early if you think your child might have a disability and seek for an alternate school. I guarantee that you will not receive any support from anyone at the school to actually help with your child's learning.
