I came to Gator CPR for their CNA course, and it completely surpassed my expectations! The course was taught by Skylar, who was incredibly kind, professional, and clearly experienced. She made learning the clinical skills for the exam straightforward and stress-free. The course included an online module for the written portion, which made it super convenient to study at my own pace, and we were also given a workbook to help prepare for the hands-on portion. One of the best parts of the program is the open lab sessions--they allow you to return and practice clinical skills with an instructor's supervision, which will be a huge help in building my confidence before the exam. I was so impressed that I came back for my BLS certification, which was taught by the owner, Clay. Clay was amazing--experienced, kind, professional, and genuinely hilarious. He made the material easy to understand, and the class flew by. In past CPR courses I've taken elsewhere, I usually left confused or unsure about certain parts. Clay made sure everything was crystal clear and took the time to answer everyone's questions thoroughly. I honestly wish Gator CPR offered even more certifications like LPN training--I would absolutely come back for those too. I was confused on several things coming out the class but he was more then willing to go out his way and teach me in a different method after the class was finished and for that I couldn't be more grateful. Gator CPR is THE place to go to become CPR/AED/First Aid certified (aka BLS - Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers; it is also affiliated with American Heart Association. I was feeling unsure about becoming CPR certified because I've been to the Basic CPR certification training course, but GatorCPR made me feel very comfortable and prepared to perform CPR and/or AED if needed during my clinical rotation. Once you complete the course, they will email you your certificate and CPR card via email. Also, they have t-shirts, face mask for CPR, and stickers for sale which 100% goes towards GatorCPR providing AEDs to the Gainesville community. I took my healthcare provider BLS course here as the hybrid option. The content was delivered via online modules (took around 45-60 minutes) and then did the 1 hour in person class to practice the skills. The online module was very informative and easily digestible. The skills class was a nice refresher and the class size was small (for COVID). The instructor was super friendly and reiterated the material as we went along. I took the Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers and had a great experience. Clay was a wonderful instructor. He was fun, clear and made the certification and material easily accessible. The course was run from 6-10pm and we had about 20 students of all ages. If you need to get a CPR certification, GatorCPR is a great place to do it! read more
