The educational experience, low class numbers, high standards for safety and excellence are worth every red cent I spent. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else. The teachers challenge each child at their personal academic level, while providing a rigorous yet holistic approach to education. In addition to a sound academic curriculum, the children are exposed to both visual and performing arts, public speaking, a foreign language, physical education, with an emphasis on collaborative and interactive work and play. I actively educated both my children and grandchildren and that leaves me rarely impressed with traditional schools. The school teachers are not trained to deal with students that have any type of learning…read moredisability, and do not have any other staff to support children with learning disabilities. Their "Title One" program is poor and does not really offer help to the student, is more of a "detention" than learning. Homework and responsibility of learning are constantly being shoved to the parent because the teachers are busy teaching "the FCAT" so that they all can pass and the school can get a good score. There is not real care about the children well being and future by any of the staff, including the principal. When presented with the challenge of a student that cant "run with the pack", the teachers will immediately label your child as lazy, depressed, among other names. They will offer you no testing of any sort or any kind of assistance to try to determine if your child has a disability or does not actually want to do the work. My experience and my child's experience with this school were nothing short of a nightmare. I would recommend being proactive early if you think your child might have a disability and seek for an alternate school. I guarantee that you will not receive any support from anyone at the school to actually help with your child's learning.

Where else can a kid get a great education and get to swim on Fridays!? JG is run by a family, and every child is considered a part of their family. Jeff, the founder of the school, loves all the students at JG, and they love him too. Class sizes are small so each child gets personal attention from their teachers. Students are allowed to learn at their own pace. If they are ahead in a subject, they don't have to wait for their classmates to catch up, they can simply move on. Children are encouraged to be creative and share their passions. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and teach electives each semester. I personally taught an elective there and greatly enjoyed spending time with the students. There is no other place I'd send my children to school!
