I called to get an appointment and she was sick but she was so kind she came in the next day and I was the first client. I was impressed because she was nice, inviting, and friendly despite being sick. I absolutely love my hair!! The prices are unmatched and I'm glad to have found someone I can trust with my natural hair!

My boyfriend and I went here for for a semi-Valentine's Day gift. It was great. Usual deal for the…read morestudent clinic is $30/hour, but they are running a special for Saturdays, $45 for two people. The lobby is very pleasant and professional looking, but they make you sign-in at this other section and it in general very roundabout and slightly confusing on where to go. You also have a choice of male or female therapist (or either) when you call to make an appointment which was a nice touch. The room is dimly lit and is divided by curtains with other appointments with music playing in the background. You can hear other people talking which isn't too distracting but might be for some people. My therapist was very professional and told me I could undress down to whatever I was comfortable doing. It was my first time getting a massage, but she was very sweet and offered me a full body massage, which felt amazing. Very excited to come here again!

Anyway, I came in one Saturday morning with my boyfriend and his dad. Due to a special going on that day we paid for the price of 2.5 massages (we got one half off). The process is as follows: You come in, you fill out a sheet about what parts of your body you need/want worked on, a student comes in and talks to you about what you filled out on the sheet, you walk into a room divided by sheets. You undress to your level of comfort and the student focuses on the areas you talked about. You can talk as much, or as little, as you wish to the student. I heard a lot of conversations going on (my student was very quiet, so not too much communication going on there) After your massage you get dressed, head back to the reception area, make comments on the student's book and you talk to the student about how your massage went. Then you pay and you're off to your regular day. My boyfriend and his dad had really good massage therapist students, while mine was so-so and very awkward (her name escapes me at the moment). Anyway, I greatly recommend this place. It's a great value for a mediocre-to-good massage!

God-AWFUL place. They did good veneers on me in 2015, but…read moresince then this place has been a NIGHTMARE. I got 3 root canals done here, & each one has given me so much pain for 4 years...12 years of pain just from this place. & I paid for it. Better than nothing, I suppose. My gum is eaten down to my gum-line around each root canal they did. Every single time I floss it hurts & is tender & raw for literally the rest of the night until I go to bed & wake up. I H8 them for it! & go to bed every night wishing them to SUFFER the rest of their lives, as well as their families!! They are so unprofessional. The last one I had done, the blonde Russian/Ukranian lady was supposedly a teacher there! WTAF!!! I tried to be empathetic bc of the war going on between Russia & Ukraine, but what she did is completely immoral & unprofessional, & she had NO good reason to do that to me! I also had to borrow a car every time I went up there, as well, bc I had no vehicle at the time for years. She sent me home 5 Xs in total, after only working on my tooth for maybe 20 mins-MAYBE!! & I live an hour away one way!! I have 3 herniated & slipped discs in my spine (2 in neck & 1 in lower back), & 2 annular cracks in my spine, & it REALLY HURTS me to drive that far & that often! & I had. child at home to take care of, & an abusive husband to deal with, while living just above the poverty line! It's UNBELIEVABLE how they treated me, & I will NEVER go back if I don't have to! It's a sliding scale payment, but it's still EXPENSIVE AF-& only a few hundred less than somewhere like Haile Plantation. Save a few hundred extra & go to Gainesville Family Dentistry & go to Haile for your root canals & crowns, & be treated like royalty, & not have your tooth bother you or give you problems for one day, like the root canal/crown I had done there. The dentist there could NOT BELIEVE the shotty work UF dental did on me, by leaving the dead roots in there! He was HORRIFIED!!! & I am, too! I H8 this place! Stay far FAR FAR AWAY, if you can! I warned you.

No complaints, really. I came here to both lap swim and to dive. For diving, they have two 1-meter…read moreboards and one 3-meter board. The lifeguards, though young, are very professional and good at their jobs plus prompt to answer any questions. There's ample room for lap swimming plus a children's shallow kiddie pool and another shallow area for people to just splash around if not lap swimming--plus the diving well. Some reviewers have commented on high school swim teams coming here to practice: apparently the deal is for some to come here, some to Westside, some go to UF as well. Until the School Board builds its own aquatics facility (unlikely), that will probably be how things go. (Whereas Jacksonville high schools in contrast have their own swimming pools on site in many cases.) School swim teams need places to practice, so this is a logical solution and I don't see it as impinging much on other patrons. Other reviewers (here and elsewhere) have complained some kids are loud and disrespectful: I did not experience that, yeah, kids can be loud but all I encountered were very polite. The locker rooms: the men's locker room is indeed old, probably original. I did not find it dirty however. Unlike the renovated Westside (Cherry) Pool, it actually has enough lockers to accommodate for two swim teams--or probably more. That's important if you're having meets here. I don't think Westside with its renovations provides that level of locker room space. So, as a diver and swimmer, no complaints here. Yeah, it's not a brand new nor renovated facility but clean and well-run: it meets my criteria certainly.
