I've been working with him for 3 months due to plantar fasciitis. He's approach is more old school, but of course tailored to each person. I didn't want to go with shots right out of the gate, I wanted to heal. While it takes some time, his advice, his awesome podiatrist assistant Sue, and his methods are great. I had to repeatedly ask her to clarify what she was telling me. I did not receive any printed information on preparing for this procedure or what to expect or even if I could drive home on my own. In addition, she chastised me when I told her my pain level. Why ask that question if you don't take patients seriously. So I did what healthcare professionals tell us NOT to do, I had to look the information up on the internet. turns out that I do need a driver and a day off work which I did not prepare for. Sad when AI is your only hope. I have been with Excelsior for years and years. The changes that have been made in procedure and healthcare "professionals" are not an improvement for patients. I guess we all have to live with progress now that excelsior is a huge conglomerate and not patient centered. Unlike any medical practice I've went to and needed consultations and hoops to jump thru, not with Dr. Roy. He said "hey this is what's wrong, this is what I'm going to do to fix it".
