So I had ingrown toe nails and it got to the point where they had to be dealt with. My wife recommended Clarke Ventresca because her grandfather had gone there before when he had foot issues, so I booked an appointment and went in for a consultation. On the day of the consultation I went in, they examined my toes and gave me options on how to proceed. They were very informative and answered any questions I had. We decided on treatment and I was booked in for a few weeks later. On the day of my treatment everything went great. They are very skilled and I had almost no pain during any part of the procedure (just a little before the freezing). It only took about an hour and then they provided me with all the supplies I would need for after care and booked a follow up before sending me on my way. I had a few follow up appointments just to make sure that everything was healing right. It all went well and I am now fully healed. This whole experience was great and I feel so much better now, and I am pain free for the first time in a long time. It is all thanks to the people at Clarke Ventresca. They are highly skilled professionals and will take the best care of you. They were always there for me both before and after the procedure and would help me in any way they could. I would recommend them to everyone.

This is in reference to an encounter with a male staff in this foot care centre last week. I am…read morewriting this review on behalf of my 90 year old mother who was turned away after arriving 17 minutes late, and was told to rebook another appointment. It was not communicated to us that cancellation of appointment is a possibility if client shows up late. I just want to reiterate that my elderly mother at 90 has great difficulty walking due to her age and body aches and pain. My 90 year old mother who has poor mobility was told to come up to the office only to be told she could not be attended to due to being late . The staff proceeded to say that my mother would have been half way through her appointment when she arrived. I was beyond upset hearing the cruel treatment my mother was given . Yes, I consider that a cruel treatment as it took my elderly mother over an hour to prepare for her appointment due to her aches and pain, only to be caught in traffic which caused her to be late. With her poor mobility and body pain she's been having due to her age, we managed to get her out to the foot care centre. And in the end was a very dismal experience. I am a retired healthcare provider myself and have had an excellent training in Canada and the US with over 36 years of experience. What's the relevance to the above incident you may ask? Those years as a healthcare provider, I learned the importance of showing respect to others through communication, through giving consideration and understanding. Applying an ironclad rule does not always serve the client's best interest - as circumstances beyond one's control could have been a factor for being late. Just to be clear, my elderly mother did not intentionally show up late for her appointment! The lack of consideration and understanding by your staff demonstrates poor public relations and absence of empathy.

I already am on the phobic side of things, and now I am just flat out aggravated. My sister drove me out on a Friday night after I put off checking into a foot injury. I had wanted to solely see a podiatrist but was convinced by peers to go bigger, and now I wish I had not succumbed to the pressure. The staff seemed more concerned about visiting with friends, and we waited watching HGTV while I tried to to shake in fear or cringe in pain. A woman wheeled a computer over to us to take down information and could not get my insurance card to scan (goo from being stuck to a mailer), so she simply said I should be fine and left me. Eventually I got moved into a small makeshift room and explained my symptoms to someone else, showcasing my swollen foot and explaining my foot and leg pain I had been experiencing. They brushed off my leg issues ignoring them and instead sent me back for an xray of the foot. We went back to the room where I started to cry (the phobia was getting to me) before getting shoved back into the lobby, where after a long, long day, I curled up in a ball. The security guard, who is the *only* reason this review gets a second star, came to make sure I was okay and asked if I wanted a blanket. After another wait, we got called into another room to be told that they could not find anything wrong with me, giving me papers and a bootie with a recommendation to go see a podiatrist and a perscription for enough ibuprofen for a person three times my size (I stopped taking them after a day to avoid any further problems and just dealt with the pain). The exact place I wanted to go in the first place. I took my papers and hobbled away, 3 and a half hours later. I did indeed go to a podiatrist who called their papers useless, confirmed I had wasted my time and money, took a new xray of my foot and told me I have a minor stress fracture that the hospital said didn't exist. But then again, their billing also said my insurance doesn't exist and made me go through multiple hoops to prove it does so that I can pay slightly less for a misdiagnosis after more waiting, so maybe I just don't exist at all. Except I do, because I'm writing a review to tell everyone to avoid this hospital like the plague, even if you have it. I'd like to give everyone involved (minus the sweet security boy) a swift kick in the butt with my good foot, but I wouldn't want to "not" fracture it.

MY several experiences at this office with the receptionist were less then acceptable. I have an…read moreinfection in my toe nail which I was trying to address. My doctor referred me to a podiatrist, and I chose DR Sean Keatings office. First on the 8th of November my primary who is with Buffalo Medical group, great Dr, sent over the referral. For 3 weeks I called and they said they never received at Keatings office. Finally I had the primary DR resend it this past Monday, Keatings office said they received it, I scheduled my appointment for today November 30th, arrived 10 minutes early and when I checked in the rude, nasty, unorganized receptionist stated she didn't have the referral. How could this be? I called Monday they said they had. Meanwhile my toenail is still infected she said I can't be seen because insurance won't cover it. Wow really, didn't you know the referral was not correct as they say o n Monday while I was on the phone with you? Or was the referral correct and you don't know how to do your job. Instead I drove a half hour to be told I couldn't be seen. Glad to know they really care about their patients and to say the least are money hungry and won't see you even with insurance. I was so upset I left the office and called back. I said to her I want to be called when an appointment will be viable and she said to me, Ill take you out of the appointment. I said to her thats not what I said, I said I want to be called. She hung up the phone. So while the podiatrist is supposed to be well qualified good luck getting in and the treatment you get at check in from this rude little girl isn't worth it. Please contact your insurance for alternate podiatrists because they are rude and unorganized at this one
