Yes, occasionally toilets will lack toilet paper and soap dispenser will be empty, but considering monthly payments on other gyms such as David Lloyd and Nuffield, I think it's quite competitive. Definitely no frills: gym is crowded, classes are booked out quickly, and always a lot of people at the machines. However, to most classes you still can come even if they have been booked out, and always some machines are free. There is an option of upgrading to premium-ish membership ( something like +3 pounds), where you will be given an opportunity for early booking. Also, there is a limit on how many classes you can have booked. At the same time, the gym has quite a busy schedule of classes (probably the busiest out of all the gyms I had a look at at that moment! Also from time to time they organise some paid courses with limited spaces but I have never signed up for those.

Has a large free car park…read more The gym is quite spacious, new equipments gym with TV screens on some of the machines, which is great, there is also a spinning studio which is used for classes with an instructor. There are 2 aerobic studios which are used for teaching various classes such as body combat, body attack, step, pilates, body balance. I recommend the Step class - a really good work out! All the instructions are good though. There is a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa. When you become a member you get several sessions with a personal trainer to sort out a programme, they are really friendly and helpful. They also have open weekends for the public, if you want to test out the facilities. Sometimes there are promotions when you can bring guests along and get day passes. The gym does get quite busy in the evenings, but day time isn't so bad. Lovely place to workout! The prices are quite reasonable and competitive.

All classes except tennis are free once you stump up the membership fee and are fun. Some cliquey clientel, but EVENTUALLY they will talk to you. Can take ages to fix broken equipment. Adequate car parking. Busiest around 6pm, so avoid at that time if possible.
