Core is a small, very welcoming studio and can accomodate levels of practice from beginners to more advanced practice. I have been helped immeasurably to recover from more than one surgery. Personal limitations are taken into account and modifications are always available if needed. This is a very respectful atmosphere which helps to inspire continued participation.

A couple of places charge $20-22 per class and that's with a package. So, yes, please! TimeOut's barre classes are called "Behind Bars". I've only had Madeline so far. I find her a very effective fitness instructor. Even though the classes have 20-30 students, she scans the room and offers up corrections and modifications. This impresses me. I also liked the fact that there seemed to be a wide variety of ages in my barre classes rather than a bunch of 20 something year olds clad in Lululemon with fake tans unlike a certain yoga chain that I will not mention by name. I would recommend signing up for class online. Also, you get a "no show" charge if you sign up for a class but don't show up but this is pretty common with barre classes. I haven't taken the other classes yet, but I might take a pilates one to switch things up. The studio itself is also very, very nice. There are dressing rooms, hot towels, and tea. Reception area people are nice also! So, you have to sign up for an orientation which at first I was kind of bummed out. But, when I went to the orientation, I found it really helpful and the instructor seemed knowledgeable and interested in everyone. Orientation is only about 15-20 minutes so not really a biggie. I would recommend trying to fit your orientation in before a class you want to attend. I've also not had parking issues at this place either but I usually take the first class of the day.

Unfortunately, corporate has decided to close the Woodbury location and redirect members to Edina. While relocating might be acceptable for some, the real issue is the lack of flexibility: longtime members like me can't cancel their memberships via the app. This creates a frustrating situation. Staff at the club are unable to assist, corporate redirects inquiries back to the club, and online chat support offers no resolution. It's during moments like these--when a customer seeks to cancel--that a company's true character is revealed. Sadly, Title Boxing is not showing its best side.

I can run longer, lift heavier and be more confident in the gym. The uptown location is my favorite, with friendly desk staff + fun and challenging coaches. Neesh is my favorite coach, but all coaches are welcoming and helpful. If you're a little more shy like me, you also don't need to have an OTF tracker (showing your progress on a big screen) - I just use my Fitbit and I've never been shamed or pressured into buying a tracker! Overall, recommend orangetheory - especially at the Uptown location!

They don't have any monitors on the tread or the rowers. I had been under the impression that the treads should all be updated in all studios. It makes it harder to pay attention to where you are at since you need to look up at the top screens to see your zone, which in some instances is right ontop of you. The staff is really hit or miss. There are some that are great, and some that seem passive. They have parking in the back, which is nice, but it does fill up. The lot is partially shared with Red Cow.

First lets talk about parking - I am a parking snob, I need free parking (preferably a private lot) to go back to a place over and over again. MHF has a shared lot behind them and free street parking for several blocks around them. I have never had to park far away, hooray! I have had a couple sessions now, one with Lonn and one with Evie. Lonn is very good at making sure you are doing everything correctly, which is one thing I am so unsure of all the time, and you don't want to hurt yourself. He really kept you moving but also noticed when you needed a little break and gave you a minute to recoup, if necessary. My fat butt needed a lot of breaks. Evie does such a great job of keeping you motivated with her variety of activities and always upbeat fun attitude. She is a hoot and still makes sure you are doing everything right. I like that she helps you with modifying the exercise if you need it, too. They both do such a great job keeping you on track and not getting complacent or bored with what you are doing. I never knew how to do some of the exercises, so I also feel like I am learning while having fun. As a side note, I burned around 600 calories for a one hour session. Clearly this will be different for everyone, but it gives you a good starting point. Sore for days, hurts so good.
