Lots of good amenities! How ever they restrict towels for some reason? And there is mold in the water fountains. I ended up trying to clean it myself. I've been going there for my "lifetime," lol, however safety and customer satisfaction resolutions have not been up to par. People pay hundreds of dollars to go to this place. As many others have noted -- this isn't just a gym. If you are hyper-focused in your workouts with 1 or 2 primary activities - then join a weight-lifting gym (or yoga, or curves, or...) for $29/mo and move on. This is much more of a 'club' feel. Being able to arrive early, take meetings in the cafe while I enjoy a freshly made protein smoothie -- then change and shoot hoops to warm up before playing pickleball, then a warm shower with towels-provided before coming back to the bar for wine and a mixed drink...and freshly made sushi... ...well, you get it. Child care, indoor tennis, sauna, pool, restaurant, and much more. It's not a gym. It's a one-stop shop for 'all things fitness' and a gathering of like-minded members who appreciate the social aspect of 'going to the gym' Highly rated group instructors, 1:1 coaching, yoga, cycling, pilates, barre, basketball...You get out of it what you put into it...this is my 'gym' and it works very well for me. read more

Their lack of compassion, empathy, care towards their customers is beyond poor. The GM at this location will make excuse after excuse to try and make this club seem amazing. It's far from it. The facility is dirty, old, and outdated. The locker rooms have dirty vents, moldy light fixtures in the steam room, and a handrail into the whirlpool that is not only too low, but poses a risk to those who actually need to use it to get in and out of it. Most recently, they have am absurd guest policy. They will give you two guest passes you can use each month. However, you can not (and they enforce this heavily) bring the same guest more than once in a 60 day period. Doesn't matter the time of day or day of the week. I have complained to the GM here and silence. I have complained to corporate and they shrugged it off. "The healthy way of life" is what they throw out there but it is so far from the truth. They are a poor representation of what a gym should be. It's not fun to be there. It's not relaxing to be there. It's not even healthy to be there. Minnesota needs better gym establishments. Bring in an Equinox or someone build a facility that surpasses Lifetime. They don't deserve to be here. All they care about is money. I have yet to be proven wrong. read more

I've gone to this location for nearly 10 years now, all I can say is that in that time it has gone progressively downhill. This location used to be a template for other gyms to live up to, but now I can safely say that I hope other gyms don't aspire to be like this. The equipment will be broken for months (one of the cycling machines has been "broken" for like 6 months, one of the treadmills in the back is always broken with no signs of repairs), recently the water fountain in the large open section of the second floor has been breaking constantly. Quality goes down, prices go up seems to be the motto here. The only saving grace now is the fantastic staff who always remember my name and are always super engaged. Sadly as time goes on I question the need for going to this location, perhaps this gym chain as a whole. PS, don't go at 5 pm on the top floor, the class that is led around that time will blare music so damn loud I can barely listen to my own with AirPods on (with noise cancellation). read more

I think the facility and staff are excellent! They are friendly and welcoming at the front counter when you check in. One of the cleanest clubs I've ever joined since they have the trained staff on site to maintain it constantly. A bar that serves alcohol and a cafe that serves smoothies, what more could I ask for? The athletic equipment I desire to use is plentiful and in good condition. The outdoor pool is well staffed with friendly attentive workers and the environment is upscale and enjoyable. read more

I just joined the club. I am a little disappointed in the condition of the pool deck. Tiles are coming up right next to the pool which is a huge danger as well as unappealing. Makes me wonder if the club is committed to remaining a premier club. read more

This location is a diamond club so you are paying $149 plus tax, for that amount I wouldn't expect to see multiple buckets to be on the ground in the weight room because the ceiling is leaking. read more

This lifetime location is a diamond club. Unless you're grandfathered into a great rate, then expect to pay a good chunk of money for a membership here. The perks at this location is that it has a sushi bar, bar and a huge resort feel pool area that serves cocktails and food. It's gets pretty busy in the summer. However The sushi is average but where can u find a sushi bar at a gym!? On Tuesday it's all you eat! There's also a countless number of outdoor tennis courts that gets covered during the winter months so members can have access to year round tennis. Aside from the fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fresh wipes, shavers, and many more (I can only speak for the women's locker room) .. They have a day care, an in door pool, gender separated sauna, and steam room, jacuzzi, spa and full service salon. This gym offers yoga, Pilates, Cycling, basketball courts and personal trainers that can help get you going on your fitness journey. I especially like how they don't come around and bug people if you want to work with them like they do at the other gyms. I'll come to you if I need you! Anyway, lastly I do want to point out that each cardio equipment is plugged into a tv screen. this is great if you dislike having to tilt your neck and head to watch the community monitors posted on the wall. read more

As an airline pilot flying all across the country I would consider myself somewhat of a Lifetime Fitness/Athletic connoisseur. Pretty let down that this is a Diamond level/ Athletic (Top Level) club when it has about half the amount of workout equipment of your basic Lifetime Fitness. I've been pretty impressed with other Onyx and Diamond level clubs around the country. (See Phoenix, North Virginia clubs) I guess if you're into tennis this is your place as they seem to have spent most of their time while designing the club towards indoor and outdoor tennis courts. Still gets three stars as there is no better place to workout throughout the country than Lifetimes! read more

Being a member to Lifetime Fitness is pretty expensive within itself, and having access to the Onyx clubs (such as the Eden Prairie location) takes an even greater toll on your bank account. In the end it comes down to how important luxury is to you as an individual and what you're willing to spend. Compared to the Bloomington North Lifetime Fitness location, the Eden Prairie location is out of this world if you're looking at the centers from spa stand points. They offer nearly everything you need to get ready for the day in the women's locker room. I'm guilty of making visits to this Lifetime Fitness solely for the sauna, hot tub, and amenities they have to offer. Each of their showers is fully stocked with quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream, and razors. The Locker rooms also have hot tools blow dryers, hair spray, combs, and other toiletries you can't even find in most hotels! In the main area, they have their own bar and sushi eatery... It's way nice, but definitely and overkill for a gym. In conclusion, Lifetime Eden Prairie has all the essentials plus way more. The pricing for membership is more then most people are willing to spend on a gym membership. So, I would only recommend the "Onyx" membership to those who highly value luxury. As for the rest, access to a few ellipticals and a treadmill through the "Gold" membership should do. read more

I went back and forth between a 4 and 5 star on this one and only settled for a 4 because of the price. As others have said, this is the ultimate fitness center and you do pay for the perks. The service is great (Sarah at the front desk is the sweetest) and we love that it is located just down the street from where we live so we never have a reason to skip a workout, or stop by on the weekend to shoot hoops and sit in the steam room. They offer great classes, indoor and outdoor tennis (indoor for a cost, outdoor can be free in the summer if the courts are available I believe), great equipment (unique things that allow my husband and I to do Crossfit type workouts) and an outdoor pool which is excellent for summer use. We previously belonged to LA Fitness, but since there aren't any in the area we moved to Lifetime last summer and have been extremely pleased. read more

I've been a member for about a year and a half. The membership for people under 26 is $60 then most insurance companies will give you a reimbursement if you attend more than 12 times a month. So you can get the membership down to $40 ish. This is a silver gym (2nd level and about $20 more a month). This Silver gym includes a full in-door pool, outdoor pool and hot-tub. Plenty of machines and TV's, hot tub, sauna, steam room in each locker room. Nice showers and free towels. They have a cafe in the upper level which makes great smoothies and a full salon and spa attached to the entrance. *note there is day-care for parents when they are working out, and children under 12 can't be in the cardio or weights areas. There is also a pilates studio, yoga studio, Lg and sm cardio studio, racquet ball, basket-ball and 4 court tennis facilities. Sounds like a lot eh? There is also a tennis store downstairs; it's a bit spendy though. I really like the gym for the number of classes they offer, though lately they've been keeping the same rotation of classes and i want to see them mix it up more. The parking can be a real hassle in the winter, at all locations i visit which is disheartening when your paying to go and you can't park! Other than that i recommend it, the sales persons won't leave you alone til you join, so be aware if you visit. But for the number of locations and types of facilities they have, i love my gym!. read more

The fitness center is nice over all, but the personal training sessions are a scam the sessions that I purchased were all charged off in the same day and when I call I was told I had a missed appointment, which ok I understand the trainer told me not to worry about having to reschedule but if that's policy I get it. But how justify more then one in a day? The trainer lied and said I must of had a appointment for my wife which was totally untrue as I got the sessions specifically for my use. So lesson learn the pre- purchased sessions are a scam won't make that mistake again. read more

I recently joined the Eden Prairie club after waiting for a promotional period to join without paying all the extra joining fees. Overall, I'm happy! I had a terrible time with Kelly- who is the first point of contact online. What a terrible first impression, she was rude and refused to answer basic questions, then would not answer my emails at all, only to bombard me a week later with emails to join. Luckily, I was put into contact with Kari S. who is an enrollment specialist. She is AMAZING! This is the kind of lady you want representing your company. She has been so nice and accommodating. All the personal trainers have been nice, some can be pushy and oversell their services. The facility is clean and well kept. I love the locker rooms. It's true, they have thought of everything you could need and then some. The cafe is great and I often see well-behaved kids sitting in there quietly eating snacks. The machines have been great and I never have trouble with waiting. I like their classes too. Just make sure you ask about prices for everything. They can be sneaky and offer you help- which you think is part of the expensive membership but, then you find out that there is an extra charge, which they do NOT make clear upfront. I learned to ask first! The spa services are fantastic! Rebekah gave me a massage that was unbelievable! The hot stones, the warm neck wrap, the herbal tea, the slippers and robe that were provided all added to a great experience! Highly recommend. Reasonable prices too- about the same you will pay elsewhere. Overall, I'm very happy with this location. Seems great and safe for kids too- but not over run with wild kids either! read more

This gym is all the best of the best, and a little bit of the worst of what a makes a gym a gym. Overall, the gyms are clean and updated. I am an onyx member, so I get to enjoy the extra benefits of the top-level studios, but the other gyms are nice as well. The trainers are professional and accessible, but like to sell their items (including heart rate monitors, protein shakes, and other nutritional items). There are also Spa services, that are great, and really fabulous relaxation areas in the steam and hot tub areas. Each gym has a cafe, so you can grab a sandwich or smoothie after a good workout and some of the gyms have a clinic type center for chiropractic care. I get the impression that the gyms are working really hard to be everything for people (there is even live music at a few of the aerobics classes), which sort of creeps me out....but in all honesty, I like this chain of gyms. Because of the location I am a member here and have been for a couple of years. The equipment is clean and the front desk staff is friendly. The products in the locker room are nice to have in a pinch but the quality of the products are basic - the Lifetime Salon recommends not to use the shampoo and conditioner! The new restructuring of classes leaves much to be desired as the focus is on packing as many people into a class as possible - this leaves no time for individual instruction - and at this level of membership it is missed. The restaurant has had three themes since I joined. Again, if it were not for convenience I would not have joined this club. read more

This is one of my favorite clubs. It is pricier than others, but this means a full restaurant, a childcare center where babies can be fed and changed, a medispa, special events, bands, etc... And poolside service with super comfy chairs. What a delight- especially for working moms who don't want to be stressed out trying to find a machine and space for their kids at the childcare center. The best lifetime by far. Nicest facility, best outdoor pool, best tennis program and coaches, and really great classes. Their Pilates instructors are very knowledgable too. Their Pilates is a little on the pricey side but when you figure you can leave the kids in the child care center for 2 hours and not hire a babysitter- it evens out. I love the Eden Prairie Athletic Club and it is my favorite. The staff is amazing and so kind at the front desk. This club is a gem! Beautiful new fiuriture at the pool, lots of complimentary events for members to enjoy, and they have everything you need. I like the intimacy of a smaller club and they go above and beyond on their special events for members. They will know your name and let's be real...you want to get in shape and look amazing these are trainers and people to count on no matter what you like to do. read more

By far, the worst customer service experience I have ever had was at this gym. My guest and I were treated rudely by the customer service rep who came out to speak with us regarding our passes. He interrupted me when I tried to speak, he didn't try to obtain us as members, and he didn't offer any solutions to our issue. Furthermore, this conversation took place in the lobby in front of other guests which was also unacceptable. It was very clear the gym didn't need or want our membership. I am surprised that the club would want to be represented by such an individual. The primary reason I have continued my lifetime membership is to attend the outstanding yoga Root class taught by the best instructor I've ever had at noon on Saturdays. This changed suddenly when this favorite instructor of many was replaced last Saturday Nov 10 with a newer instructor who does not come close in connecting with the members and teaching. The previous instructor has a holistic health and charismatic teaching style that emphasizes the basics of yoga, yet takes it to a higher level to teach you how to incorporate the breathing and stretching and thinking into your everyday being. I had become dependent on it to recenter myself every week, as had many others. The class was usually crowded because it was so popular, but the class was absolutely by far worth it in spite of that. In speaking to the lifetime manager about my profound disappointment at this unannounced change, he could not provide details, but reminded me they're still allowing her to teach 2 other classes at inconvenient times. On further exploration it appears this was largely a political change that did not realistically reflect on the performance our wonderful previous instructor. I am likely going to quit my membership if our previous instructor is not reinstated to teach the Saturday Root class. This was a poor management decision and not in the best interests of her 50+ loyal yoga root class members. read more

My whole family loves the Eden Prairie Flagship Lifetime and Spa. The pool is never too busy, its clean, the equipment is top notch and the spa is fabulous. I have had several great massages, mani and pedis and I love going to the Medi spa also for services. My daughter and son even had great haircuts in the salon. We also love the Lifetime Cafe, its healthy and delicious. Its always a great experience. read more

The gym itself is clean and well kept. The locker rooms can be a little tight when the gym is busy which seems to be most times of the day. Management can be unresponsive, ie: issue taken care of and does not happen. A few of the management team seem to act as though they own the gym with some of the attitude they show. I feel this comes from the younger ones starting out that Lifetime corporate office throws into these positions without any real experience dealing with people and problem solving skills. Although the membership contracts can be time consuming to read make sure you read the entire contract before signing. Again, a verbal, "we can take care of that" means nothing.
