I hate to give any business a bad review, but I have been coming approximately 6 months. I wanted…read moreto try to switch up my routine and do limited days here a month along with my other gym which is more strength and cardio. The atmosphere here was very friendly the gym is kept clean. The problem is clients who have unlimited time register for excess classes and your on a waitlist. So I had an accident and broke my hand I came in with my cast on and told them I need to be put on hold they will charge me $25 a month. I am already losing 2 classes, why charge me more. I said I wanted to cancel and filled out the paperwork. She said my manager is understanding she will work with you and call on Monday. She never called me, so Thursday I went back and told them she never called they said they will call her. Then Bianca the manager called back. She refused to work with me in any way. She told me it's corporate policy and there is nothing I can do. She told me if I did this for you then everybody would be doing it. ( Everybody would be breaking their hand??) My daughter goes to club Pilates in Colorado and was going on a trip told them she would need to be out. The manager told her no problem and was happy to accommodate her. But here in Howell with an injury no help. Needless to say I quit, but because it wasn't 30 days out they billed me a full month which for 4x is $129.00 with no access to classes!

I am new to fitness kickboxing, and I am hooked on it! I took a trial class last weekend, because…read moremy current gym is closing and I want to be able to work out long after this month is over. Believe me when I say that I have searched far and wide to find the right match with a new gym. The class that I took was the same length as the ones at my current gym (30 minutes). I took the class with the owner because I knew that she was recommended. Turns out that in the 30 minute classes, they are very fast-paced. I had a hard time keeping up, even though I got a great workout and loved every minute of it. The owner took the time to speak with me at length after the class was over, gave me information to log into the class app, and gave me the names of the other instructors who teach the 45 minute class. She then proceeded to explain to me that the 45 minute class has a warm up session and a cool down session. I was pleased when she allowed me to sign up for another class free of charge just so I had something to compare to. There was no pressure to sign up. In fact, I asked to see the membership options. When I stopped in and spoke to someone else a few weeks earlier, I wasn't told that there were options to purchase packs of classes. The owner showed me this option and said that many of the members purchase these class packs instead of committing to a 6-month of a year membership. This put me at ease because I have heard mixed reviews from this gym. She had me sold with this option. As I stated earlier, I haven't been doing fitness kickboxing for long, and want to give it a fair chance before I make the decision to either keep doing this or resort to home workouts (which I am not always as disciplined at doing). I left the gym feeling confident that I made the right decision in joining. I am actually looking forward to the next class that I will be taking next week.

I have never been able to do a real push up in my life until now! The workouts are fun and since you have a choice of trainers you can workout with the one(s) who work best for you! It's not just hitting bags.. There are weights for toning, resistance bands, crunches, burpees, etc! If you can't do them yet - no problem! The trainers give you modifications so you work out on a level appropriate for you! The other people there are SO kind and helpful. Each time I've attended classes other members have offered to help with moves in case I needed any further clarification. I always worked out on and off but never pushed myself like I am pushed at CKO. I look forward to classes, and even though I drip with sweat I feel so great!!!

I love the atmosphere and the black lights and graffiti style writing on the walls. It gives it a fun touch. It wasn't as dance centric as I'm used to but it was still fun and a good workout. And with any spot, each Zumba instructor is different. Wished the room was bigger, people were crammed together. I'm used to going in a bigger gym so you have more space but that's the size space they are working with. Maybe they can help place people or encourage people to move up and let the instructor utilize the stage more. Overall it's a fun place to check out if you love Zumba.
