The second session in January was a full day of restorative yoga, guided meditation, essential oil crafting and blending, sound healing, journaling and more. These were really fulfilling experiences for me and my best friend. The sessions left me feeling at peace and very limber. I enthusiastically recommend this facility and it's instructor, as it is a peaceful, joyful setting designed to stimulate and enhance all the senses. Provided were healthy vegan/gluten free snacks and/or meals, tea and water, equipment such as mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, enrichment materials, flower crowns, crafting supplies, sanitary & pleasant bathroom accommodations, and fire pit access (weather permitting.) Special accommodations can be made for overnight stays. The yoga and other enrichments are conducted in a red and white climate controlled barn that once housed two Clydesdale horses. I found the setting and companionship to be both grounding and encouraging. The Yoga Barn is located in picturesque, lush farmland; it also serves as an animal rescue and some of its current residents that I interacted with include Ella the pig, a mini horse, a small donkey, a Labrador Retriever... my inner child and adult self were extremely content with the surroundings and participants, both two legged and four. For hot yoga lovers like me this is the best place for your Hot Yoga practice in the area. The studio is heated with infrared panels. This really is the best way to heat rooms for hot yoga, it evenly heats up the room where yogis won't feel that scorching heat during their practice. While it's a nice enough spot and the setting is scenic, the pictures floating around don't quite tell the full story. Yes, it's spring-fed and chemical-free, which gives it more of a forest pond feel than a traditional pool. That might be a plus for some people, but there are downsides. The water feels heavier than a normal pool, and there's no true shallow end--so treading water for long stretches can get tiring. If you go, I'd honestly recommend bringing a float to hang out more comfortably in the water. The facilities are basic. There are very few pool chairs--mostly just park benches scattered around a small paved deck. Seating is limited, and it was hard to find a place to set up. I'd recommend bringing your own beach chair if you have one. There are plenty of picnic tables farther back from the pool, which I assume is their way of keeping food out of the swim area. We arrived around 3 PM and that timing was probably my biggest gripe. The parking lot was full, so we had to find a random lot down the road and then walk back and hunt for the entrance. Not the easiest arrival. The $20 day pass would be fine if the setup matched the price, but for what it is, it felt a little steep. Also worth noting--cell service is spotty, and while they say there's Wi-Fi, it didn't work well for us. Overall, it's not a bad experience, but it didn't quite live up to the online buzz. If you go in with the right expectations (and a float, a chair, and some patience), you'll probably enjoy it more than we did.

Clubhouse is old and unkempt, range is tired and overgrown, rough is just non-fairway overgrown and since they changed the hole order the numbering and signage is difficult to follow. Sad to see this decline so quickly. There have to be better spots around.

The yoga studio is located in a building with direct access from the outside. Ample parking. I was instantly welcomed by the receptionist/yogi and checked in. She showed me the upstairs area where you can place your clothing/shoes, changing cubicles, and restrooms. The instructor, Virginia, gave me a little synopsis of the class (since she knew I was a new student). OMF I felt so welcomed (especially because i was nervous)! The studio is rectangular with mirrors on one wall. And yes, it is HOT. I loved the heat. Great class and great energy. Will be back!

I did a conditioning class in 104 degrees and OH MY- it kicked my butt in the best way possible. Our instructor, Meg, was sooooo good. She kept us all focused and hyped up. Loved her playlist! She brought so much energy and inspired me to push myself. I WISH I lived closer. My husband and I were staying at the Tandem Bike Inn as a vacation getaway and they advertised this yoga spot. When I come back to the Jersey Shore I will be sure to come back here. This place makes exercise fun!
