I am very hesitant to post this review...As much as I want people to know how awesome this place…read moreis, I also want to keep this little gem to myself so that I never have to fight to get into a class I was so sad when I moved here and could not find the type of exercise/training that I was used to. Enter Pure Barre. From the moment I contacted the studio, to taking my first class, to 3 months later, this place is AMAZING. Cindy was very informative when I contacted the studio. Answering all my questions, even questions I did not even know to ask. She met with me prior to my first class to explain what the class entails along with key points to think about during class. She introduced me to the instructor and was readily available to answer any questions after class. Even 3 months later, she is actively reaching out to make sure I am not having any issues, following up on concerns that I voiced prior to my first class and continuing to inquire on how the classes are going. On top of that, the instructors are top notch and very personable. They continually walk around class to make sure you are executing each exercise correctly and physically correcting you if there is room for improvement. This is exactly what I was looking for. I hate going to a class where who knows if I am doing the exercise correctly. This allows me to get more out of each class (results faster!!!) along with decreasing the chance of injuries from doing an exercise incorrectly. I have went to all the different class times with the various instructors, and all of them are fantastic! Thank you Pure Barre for going above and beyond the typical exercise class experience!!

The staff was so accommodating and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other large franchise fitness studios! Their communication leading up to the event was consistent and effective. We had the best time during our private class and even the first timers to Barre enjoyed the experience. The studio is beautiful and conveniently located. If I lived in Evansville, I would definitely visit the studio regularly.

Her energy and kindness is what drives you to want to work harder. All the instructors are great and always have you feeling welcomed. They always change things up so you're not feeling stagnant. Like with any exercise program, the more consistent you are the better results. The instructors are great about taking your limitations and physical restrictions into consideration to protect you from strain or injury. A couple of things that have stood out the most over the years is that any body shaming is NOT tolerated. That is important and impressive as many individuals may feel it's hard to start for fear of judgment of others. That's not a worry or concern here at all. Just know that it's also not a social hour. Most talking is done before or after classes to allow everyone to focus on their routine. The other stand out is seeing the results. Personally, I'm not consistent enough to see significant results. However, having attended classes over the last couple of years, the results are apparent in those who have maintained regularly consistent visits. For myself, times I've had to take breaks and return, there's a noticeable difference in how my body reacts to the lack of consistency. There have been moments I've considered calling quits but knowing it works and makes a difference on my body, mind and soul is what keeps me coming back. Beyond Barre also offers Red Light therapy. My chiropractor recently started offering it for patients. You can do short visits, but the same your best results are in routine visits. I'm going Iryna will bring back Yoga nights. The best sleep I get are after those routines. Members can bring guests for free on Friday nights and class schedules may change a little with new programs that Iryna introduces. From time to time she offers great promos for anyone wanting to just try it out. You'd be welcomed with open arms and encouraged to try again. Absolutely, worth it!

I have always struggled to find a good place to work out when I am in Owensboro visiting family. A…read morefriend of mine knew that I enjoy hot yoga and suggested I try HOTWORX -- I am SO GLAD that I took his advice. For those that don't know, HOTWORX is a virtually instructed exercise completed inside of a sauna, using infrared heat absorption to accelerate detoxification. You're literally inside of your own personal sauna with a TV and virtual instructors completing your workout. There are several options to choose from, including: hot yoga, hot pilates, hot cycling, hot barre, etc. I chose the hot HIIT workout which lasted 30 minutes and it was one of the best workouts I have done in a long time -- the heat really helps increase your flexibility/range of motion. Just make sure to take it slow if you're not used to the heat (I'm talking 125 degrees) and that you drink a LOT of water before, during, and after the workout. From the minute I called to make a reservation, the staff was SO helpful and friendly. They gave me a quick tour of the facility and made sure I was comfortable using the bands and the equipment inside the sauna -- one of the best experiences from gym staff I have ever had. I will absolutely be coming back to HOTWORX every time I am in Owensboro. P.S. -- your first visit is free, just check out their website, fill in your information, and they will email you the voucher :)
