Their representative also implied that this could have been done earlier if we had only asked. (I have asked, my daughter has asked, my bank has asked, her boyfriend has asked.) Besides the cardio and weight areas there is a circuit room by the locker rooms, and hydro massage chairs. I'm fussy when it comes to my preferred elliptical equipment and BFit has some older Precor machines which is exactly what I like. I've tried some newer equipment elsewhere and found that they were harder for me to use. Call me old school but I'll support any gym with a Precor elliptical. Also, I went at mid-day and it wasn't crowded at all which is big plus for me as well.

Given that I've never been a gym rat or super into working out in public, that seems like a crazy sentence for me to state, but this place has a lot more than originally meets the eye (and especially the name, I really think the name made me think at first the place would just be a room with a few weights and dumbbells, but it's an-all-in-one workout, spaday, and rejuvenation center if you take advantage of all its perks! First of all, the Hydro massage chairs...are worth the whole membership. 10 minutes of absolute heaven and relaxation. And since they're never full, you can just ask the person working up front (real late most nights one guy is a total hottie too, but I don't get creepy and ogle him, unless he ever says he's okay with that, then of course I will, but that's just a potential extra, I do come here to work out...and the hydro chairs). It's open 24/7, which rules for a night owl like me! Do you know how awesome it is to have a whole swimming pool to yourself at 2 in the morning? Only 2nd to those hydro chairs in rejuvenation and relaxation-building time. There's plenty of equipment. I do use that too. You can take cool classes like Pound (I like to think of it like "Stomp," but with well, pounding drumsticks and stuff instead of stomping barrels and stuff. You can also buy smoothies and even cute goodies with the logo and such. I might write more later tonight, or sometime past midnight to get that pool to myself again.

We had our own home gym but decided to go to Bob's Gym to be able to use the variety of machines we don't have. Well everything started well until recently. We have noticed people not wiping the machines down after they use it. People are putting towels on the machines to save while they bounce from one machine to the other and having us to wait on the machine we want to use. I went to grab a spray bottle to wipe down a machine but the bottles were missing because some people carry them around during their workout. There is also too many kids to sit on the machine and not using them because they are on their phone. I'm a patient person but enough is enough. Why have the rules on the wall when they are being violated everyday? Other than that, the staff is friendly and we have met some cool people. The Hydro massage is like my favorite after my workout.

Charging me $75 for nothing is a good deal??? That is like two weeks of food for my college student ass. I get that the whole money making scheme is to get fat people in there to sign up and then quit but goddamn. Actual review: - Very busy, the few times I went I couldn't use any of the machines I needed for my workout plan. - Track sucks monkey nuts. I have always struggled to find a good place to work out when I am in Owensboro visiting family. A…read morefriend of mine knew that I enjoy hot yoga and suggested I try HOTWORX -- I am SO GLAD that I took his advice. For those that don't know, HOTWORX is a virtually instructed exercise completed inside of a sauna, using infrared heat absorption to accelerate detoxification. You're literally inside of your own personal sauna with a TV and virtual instructors completing your workout. There are several options to choose from, including: hot yoga, hot pilates, hot cycling, hot barre, etc. I chose the hot HIIT workout which lasted 30 minutes and it was one of the best workouts I have done in a long time -- the heat really helps increase your flexibility/range of motion. Just make sure to take it slow if you're not used to the heat (I'm talking 125 degrees) and that you drink a LOT of water before, during, and after the workout. From the minute I called to make a reservation, the staff was SO helpful and friendly. They gave me a quick tour of the facility and made sure I was comfortable using the bands and the equipment inside the sauna -- one of the best experiences from gym staff I have ever had. I will absolutely be coming back to HOTWORX every time I am in Owensboro.
