Definitely try out yogafreak (or just join monthly unlimited;)…read more The classes here are amazing with bright energy and passionate, knowledgeable instructors. My favorite part is the different types of classes you can take, so it's not just original hot yoga but other types as well along with HIIT of course! This makes it fun to switch it up and also take a couple of classes in a row if you wanted, since they schedule different ones back to back. Another hugeeeee plus for me is that they have early morning classes and late at night if you slept through the morning ones like I often do LOL (along with late morning/ mid day, early evening etc). Additionally, the staff is nice & welcoming and I oftentimes see instructors paying extra attention/TLC to newcomers If you're a hot room lover then deff come to Yoga Freak ASAP!!!!

This studio prioritizes rigid policy over customer care, and I want to be specific so others can…read moremake an informed decision before booking. Their late policy is absolute: arrive even one minute past your class time and you will be locked out and charged -- no exceptions, including unforeseen circumstances. They do not answer their phone and do not accept voicemail, so there is no way to reach anyone in real time if something goes wrong. If you have time blindness, executive function challenges, ADHD, Cptsd, or a highly sensitive nervous system, this studio is not designed with you in mind. It is not trauma-informed, and the environment does not accommodate neurodivergence in any meaningful way. For those who need consistency and predictability, it's also worth knowing they have modified the traditional hot yoga sequence -- so what you practice here may not be what you expect. The waitlist system is also poorly communicated; you may not know you've been moved from a class you reserved until it's too late to plan around it. Beyond logistics, the atmosphere feels cold and unwelcoming -- though I'll leave it to others to determine how much of that is the studio versus the region. This studio is BUSINESS FOCUSED rather than CUSTOMER focused, which contributes to the stressed, unfriendly state of the world today. There are wonderful yoga communities out there that lead with warmth and genuine flexibility. This one, in my experience, is not among them.

I started out attending private classes with Sharon mid-pandemic and eventually progressed to group classes. Now my weekly favorites are tower class with Sharon and barre class with Andrea. You really get the feeling that teaching is their calling and they love what they do. They have a way of making "hard work" fun and really can read - and if necessary - adjust your posture or poses to maximize the impact on a muscle group. It's almost like Sharon has a sixth sense for those things! Any time I go to a class it boosts my energy and spirits -- and any time I miss a class, I feel like there's been a loss to my general well being. I've taken more than my fair share of yoga classes with a variety of teaches, many of whom are stellar - however, Jen is by far the best. Every class I've taken with her is different and every class is great. She mixes it up enough to keep you on your toes but as a regular one can pick up on her style, whatever that is. Her music choice also flows with her class and you can honestly tell she really cares and is having fun while teaching. I can't ask for a better yoga class.

DO NOT USE THIS GYM…read more They do not care about its disabled members, such as myself. I cannot walk due to MS. There are two pools there: a shallow pool and a deep pool. The chair lift on the shallow pool has been completely broken for years--ever since I joined back in 2022. Because of staffing issues with lifeguards, the gym had to close one of the pools. Which pool did they choose to shut down? The deep pool--the only one with a working chair lift! When I brought up to MANAGEMENT that closing the only accessible pool left members with mobility disabilities, such as myself, completely stranded, I was rudely told I could just "come back later" or "make an appointment" (both are against ADA regulations: see below). This was back in February. Eventually, they got enough lifeguards and reopened the deep pool... only for the deep pool's chair lift to break down on July 31st. It has been broken ever since. All of my inquiries into fix it have been ignored. Both pool chair lifts at this facility are now completely non-functional. As a result, the aquatic facility is entirely inaccessible to members with mobility disabilities who rely on aquatic therapy and exercise for medically necessary physical care, such as myself. Telling disabled members to "come back later" or "make an appointment" violates 28 C.F.R. § 36.302(f), which states facilities cannot require patrons with disabilities to make reservations to use accessible equipment when other members enjoy spontaneous access during normal hours. Despite months of continuous inquiries, emails, and direct contact with virtually EVERYONE in management, I have been brushed off and ignored. Finally, on August 18th, I was sent a generic "apology" email, and a new chair was ordered. The chair they're finally replacing isn't the one I've been reporting since February. It's the deep pool chair -- the one that broke in July. So the shallow pool chair, the one I've been asking about for seven months, still isn't even on the list. If the original chair was fixed 7 months ago, i could have been swimming this entire time. But instead my health is being affected. This sustained failure violates multiple federal and state accessibility statutes: * Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (42 U.S.C. § 12182): Prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in public accommodations. * 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design (§ 242.2 & § 1009.2): Mandates accessible, operable, fixed pool lifts for independent operation. * 28 C.F.R. § 36.211 (Maintenance of Accessible Features): Obligates facilities to maintain accessible equipment in operable condition, explicitly prohibiting prolonged or indefinite outages. * New York State Human Rights Law (N.Y. Exec. Law § 296(2)(a)): Guarantees equal access to public accommodations without unlawful discrimination. To Management: Do not even bother responding to this review with counterarguments or excuses--you have handled this wrong at every single turn. And do not post a canned, copy-pasted "please reach out to us" PR response. I have already reached out to EVERYONE for months and was completely ignored. The only acceptable response is fixing the lifts.

I have absolutely noticed how my legs have gotten stronger and I feel more confident walking with improved posture and balance. Molly Roffman, the owner and instructor at StepWISEnow, is a physical therapist. She is so knowledgable about balance and fall risk and gives talks to medical professionals about its importance. Molly is an excellent and patient instructor. Her enthusiasm is infectious and when we're doing Zumba Gold, it's so much fun, you don't even feel like you're working out. Tai Chi class has made me stronger and feel so graceful, which is something new for me. If you have been thinking about your balance or have friends or relatives you might be concerned about, you need to come here. It's a warm, comforting and supportive place. Molly also offers a separate workshop on balance training, which has been very popular in the studio. Our neighborhood is so lucky to have StepWISEnow.
