The classes are ok…read more They really make zero effort to accommodate their clients and when I told the front desk I am going to cancel she said well this is not your home gym so we don't get your money so she didn't care. That is why they like to charge fees so aggressively. Honestly the Scarsdale one is why better and the Colorado one is truly amazing. They go above and beyond to support your fitness journey and they assume positive intent and flex if needed. These people don't flex at all and some weird things about wait list. Very disappointing. Some of the front desk people are super nice. Others are not and I don't believe they really care if you are getting healthy or not. It's just a business. Maybe you should hire people who want to make a difference in the lives of others vs. getting a pay check. Oh and they do campaigns if you give a 5 star you get a t-shirt sometimes. Warning. P

I know this happens with a lot of the Orange Theorys though. The staff is always nice and the faculties are always clean. They have four bathrooms, both with showers which makes it's easy to not have to wait to shower in the AM. The only downside is they don't have a parking lot so you have to pay for parking or park far for one hour street parking that is free. The lot behind on the weekends thought is free starting at 9.

You are always met with a smiling face anytime you enter the studio. Always a great way to start a workout!! There are no bad coaches by any means, it's all about preference. Take advantage of the promotions and try out a few classes before committing. If you enjoy a workout that is challenging but doable, all the coaches will be there to push you that extra mile. Overall would recommend OTF Tarrytown to anyone! The memberships are flexible so you can start with one and always upgrade or downgrade based on your lifestyle.

I've taken 4 classes from this studio and managed to get 2 teachers twice. I'm primarily a Bikram…read moreyogi, so I was excited to see on the bio page that their instructor "Jimmy" managed the Bikram studio at North Beach in San Francisco; Bikram Choudhury's first yoga studio in the U.S. But twice I tried to attend his class and twice he was substituted by someone who was not a certified Bikram teacher. I don't want to ding the rating of the studio too much on a substitute, but 70% humidity at 105+ degrees was beyond what most students could handle and in both classes, the majority of the students left early. I didn't know what was the normal temp/humidity for the studio, but when more than 3/4 of the class walks out, they're not getting what they're paying for. I stayed in because I'm stubborn, but I really slacked off. Despite it being called a "Bikram" class, the order of the 26 postures was not followed; hopefully the regular instructors follow the script better. The other classes I took was a hot vinyasa class by Bryony. I liked the temperature there much better and even though I did not know all the postures, I was guided through them and corrected when needed. Bryony has a pleasant rhythm and walks around to check on everyone's progress. The studio has a women's and men's restroom with a shower. There are no lockers for your things, so don't bring in anything too valuable (even though this is a very quiet and safe area). Water and liquids are for sale, towels and yoga mats are available for rent, though first timers get a complimentary loaner set. It's a bit hard to find since the studio is at the side of a building, on a main road but in a section where the driver can only enter the lot from one direction.

I go for private personal training sessions with Vadim and group boot camp classes. Vadim always challenges me to go beyond previous limits and he always makes the workouts different and fun. His workouts are always individualized and directed towards my unique goals. At almost 40, I have a better body than I had as a college student. I cannot recommend Vadim Fitness Studio highly enough.

But deep down, I also missed and needed that personal 1-on-1 encouragement from an instructor or doing classes that I've always gravitated to. Did a dry-run one Saturday morning just to get a feel and from home to this location, is a solid 20 minutes on the Bronx River Pkwy. Parking was a snap both times I was there. Located on Main St., Juan (owner?) answered all my questions and he in turn, took his time to be as specific as possible, a tour of the gym included plus a Free Trial class whenever I wanted. Perfect! Classes here an ultimate plus for me and that's what I actually loved right from the beginning: those good old-fashioned Toning, Bootcamp, Leg Workouts that really work for me plus Personal Training. And if you're into Zumba, they got that too. The following Saturday, headed down to Tuckahoe for my Free Trial Bootcamp class with Steven who made me work Abs, Arms and Leg muscles in a totally different way. Let me put it this way, the guy was professional, on top of his game and attentive! Man...I came out of there sweating bullets and loved it! I love their pitch and what these guys stand for- but because of my personal time constraints at the moment, the 20-minute trip is what I have to consider. I bought one for a friend and I. Honestly we could not be more pleased! Staff is very friendly, Juan the owner is extremely attentive and helpful. This is not a huge fancy gym, instead an intimate gym where your trainer knows everyone in the class by name. They offer bootcamp classes, Zumba classes and even core classes.
