She made sure the new folks knew the moves beforehand and answered all questions we had. She greeted everyone who came to her class. So the basics - this place is located on the 2nd floor of the building that is shared so you will have to look up to see it. You cannot miss it though. Take the stairs or the elevator if you prefer. They did have to let me in when I arrived 30 mins before class and I can see why. This is an all female studio and being that they were by themselves on the 2nd floor, safety precautions are taken. Greatly appreciate that ladies! The doors are kept locked once classes start so again, for our safety even though this area is a very nice area. The studio is beautiful, nice wood barre floors and they have showers and all the amenities for you like deodorant, feminine products, pink towels! So if you need to shower and change, go right ahead! Class was amazing. I feel that I was able to keep up and if I struggled, Brenda said it was okay to modify. This class is a low impact class, BUT you will feel it the next day. I felt the burn in my legs the next day from all the pulses. One thing that I really enjoyed was that we were able to use natural sunlight in the studio. You get a nice view of the outside and being on the 2nd floor, we had nice views of the tree tops in the Champions Forest/Spring Cypress area. Loving that we have a barre studio in Spring!

It was a great workout and I was sore for the next few days. I took my second class today with a different instructor and the experience was just as good as the first. Their babysitter, Lauren, was really good with my toddler. The cost for childcare is only $5 per class, yay!

My experience at Pure Barre - Jersey Village was frustrating and ultimately felt very…read moreuncomfortable. When I enrolled, I asked multiple times about class packs because I needed flexibility and did not want a recurring membership. I was told clearly that class packs were not available and that the only option was the once-per-week membership. Based on that information, I signed up. When I later cancelled, management told me that I had been offered all options and that it was "documented" in their notes. That simply wasn't true -- my friend was with me and heard me ask specifically about class packs. Being told something happened that didn't, and having my experience dismissed, felt incredibly invalidating. What made it worse is that they then turned around and offered me a class pack anyway -- the exact option I had originally asked for and been told didn't exist. The teachers were kind and professional, but my interactions with management and front desk staff did not feel transparent or supportive. A fitness studio should feel encouraging and emotionally safe. Unfortunately, this one didn't for me. I ultimately chose to pay the $99 early termination fee just to end the membership and move on. I'd recommend asking very direct questions about all options before signing.

Today my daughter (who is 7) called me having a panic attack after leaving aerial arts early. I work during the week so her grandmother brings her. While in class today, the kids were running to get on slings and my daughter got to a sling before another little girl, who then started crying. The red headed teacher (I can never remember her name), yelled at the little girl to not cry and go sit with her grandmother if she was going to keep crying. Awful, that should've never happened, but then my daughter went to go console the girl because she has a huge heart and she's been raised to care about others. At this point the teacher BELLOWS at my daughter "(name) YOU AREN'T HELPING, GO BACK TO YOUR SPOT". My daughter has pretty severe ADHD (which aerial arts was helping with) and anxiety from issues that happened with a very mean teacher in kindergarten. When she was yelled at, my daughter went and hid behind the sling and started tearing up. My mom then asked if she wanted to go home and she said yes. After she put her in the car with her great grandmother my mom went back in to speak to the teacher. My mom walked onto the floor and said "maam" to get her attention. She continued with "you do not have the right to speak to any child like that. The worst thing you can do as a teacher is yell at a child. That was uncalled for." Do which the teacher replied "yeah, well she's ALOT" (speaking about my daughter, who we have spoken a lot to this particular teacher about her ADHD issues and my daughter had been doing so much better staying on task and really trying to learn) and my mom said "she's a lot? Well so what that. Completely out of line" and left. After my daughter called me while I was working, HYPERVENTILATING, and crying trying to tell me what happened. I am taking my daughter out of axis. I am SO happy I found an aerial arts school closer to where we live that is beginning children's classes. I was going to leave her in axis until those classes started but I refuse to subject my child to a teacher who shouldn't even be around children. It's very apparent she has no control over her temper and she has an ego the size of a yacht. I had seen glimpses of this lack of emotional control from her in the past when I was bringing her, but it wasn't to this extent so I just assumed she was having a rough day. But to let your temper get to that level while teaching small children is DISGUSTING. She should be pulled from the position immediately. Please, don't send your children here. There are two other FANTASTIC aerial arts schools in the woodlands and Conroe. She can not go on being allowed to teach children. If you care about your child's emotional well-being, you won't bring them here.

I never feel pressured to do something I don't feel like my body can do, and the instructors are always providing modifications. I did feel a bit sore after class but it felt good. Would definitely come back.
