Workout classes can be intimidating and having a forever injury that requires modification can make it feel even scarier however, the employees always make sure to welcome new people show them around. I find that before classes (particularly a more full class) there will be socialization between members/attendees and it's not just with people they know, rather with whoever is standing nearby. Of course no one is forcing conversations if people don't wish to be social, but it just feels extra welcoming. The instructors never make you feel left out or like a burden if you need modifications. Having done barre for a while, I'm pretty good at doing my own, however without signaling anyone out they'll offer and demonstrate different modifications for each move and encourage people to take what they need. It's nice to be reminded that this is your workout, and the way you do it doesn't have to fit perfectly into a certain look or move. They also offer hands on modifications, which you can tell them if you'd rather not receive them, but the modifications are never forceful (I think most group fitness people have experienced a modifications from a good intentioned teacher that was a little too zealous - that's never happened to me at Barre3). This is a great place for beginners, for people who are feeling a little alone on starting a fitness/barre journey, for regulars, and for all the in-betweeners. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment, that encourages modifications, all skill levels, and support where ever you need it. However, don't be fooled by all the niceness too much, because the workout will still absolutely kick your butt and is harder than you think - but it's delivered in a way that's always encouraging. Also, the free parking is a major plus of this location! You can park in the attached garage or street parking nearby. For the garage I use the call box and let them know I'm there for barre3 but make sure you get the door code from an employee before your visit, because you'll need that to enter the 2nd door.

The instructors really make sure you are having an amazing class for what your body needs, I love everything has a modification and a way to adjust to work for you. It's so nice as a member you have the option of on-demand or to live stream a class if you are out of town or just need to work out at a time a class isn't available that day. The in studio schedule has a great variety of times. Signing up is really easy on the app. Parking is easy. I truly could go on and on about Barre3. My teacher was holly and she was great and friendly. Her class was hard but I didn't expect anything less from NB workouts! I personally like the set up of the studio, it's much different than our studio in Arlington. I like the change in scenery. If you've never been here, it's in a small square across from the Macy's/Starbucks and the studio is upstairs! You sign in the front desk and come early if you are a new client. The cubbies and hooks are up front for you to put your stuff in before going in the studio. I never checked out the bathroom so I can't say much about it but I did see that there is free childcare if you are a mother or babysitting and wanna get a workout in. Front desk was friendly but not as friendly as I expected it to be. I told her that I signed up through classpass and she didn't seem to care much or asked where I'm coming from. I also forgot my water bottle and hair tie so I asked if they have hair ties and I had to pay $1 for a hair tie....like cmon now. My pure barre studio in Arlington has complimentary hair ties and make up ups, tampons, spray deodorant and dry shampoo in the bathrooms, those items should be complimentary especially mostly girls come to barre class. I like that we used the small foam rollers in the workout because that's new to me. I overall liked my experience and I would come back here again if I visit Nashville in the future. Holly talked to me after class and we bonded over barre classes and which ones were my favorite, I highly recommend taking her class!

Instructors and the front desk people know and learn your name, which makes you feel very welcome. As far as the exercise goes, it's a challenging class that actually gets harder the more that you go. Over the year, I've lost weight, feel stronger and overall better. Going to class has become a bit addicting. Another thing that I love about the Bar Method is that they offer a variety of classes that are easy to schedule online or on an app. It's easy to work into my daily schedule. Additionally, since I travel for work, I'm able to attend classes in other cities (for a fee). I've had a hard time sticking to other exercise because of my weird schedule. The other great thing about the class is that you don't necessarily sweat a whole lot-- I never feel like I absolutely have to shower afterwards. It sounds dumb, but it makes a huge difference in the amount of time taken out of your day. You are able to go to a noon class and then can go to a meeting at 1:30 and not look like a wreck. I encourage anyone looking into trying the program to sign up for a month and to go as often as you can. Going to one class does not do much for you, but attending 3-4 classes a week definitely makes a huge difference.

Lauren helped me get settled, showing me the studio space, cubbies to put items in, and introduced me to Margy. Margy was so kind helping me feel supported before, offering modifications and support during, and checked in with me after. It was a packed house, almost too crowded for my comfort, but it did not prevent me from participating fully and makes sense as it was a 5:45p class. I can tell there is such a strong and supportive community here with no judgement, I signed up for a 2 week trial to see if it may be a good fit for me. I felt super empowered after and today while I was sore (it had been a while since I was active) I am happily feeling motivated to keep going, it's a good sore!

I was blown away by the skill & support of the Align 60 instructor, Leah, she was by far one of the best courses I have ever taken. I really loved the gentleness and invitations to modify as needed, as well as, having a in classroom support to the instructor to come around and assist with posture, I feel so bad but I have forgotten her name. It was my first time using straps, but thankfully I was supported. All the other classmates were kind and there was enough space for everyone, even though it was pretty full. I failed to take any pictures as I wanted to be present to the moment, but one beautiful offering is a tea station near the restrooms, cubbies to place items, and a lavender cool face towel at the end of class. What a beautiful and inviting experience, excited to return!

It is a nice place to relax, but the swimming area can be a zoo when school is out during the hotter months. Between swim lessons and the outdoor pool open, it can be overwhelming. The facilities are clean, people are driven, and you feel in good company working on your fitness. I enjoyed finding a rhythm with like-minded people, and the option for some coffee at the end after a ridiculously early workout session. The workers were always polite and even helped me with a few issues here and there faced by typical gym-goers: a lost locked, a door dinged in the parking lot, etc. Everyone was extremely understanding and thoughtful in the midst of my in-the-moment distress. The facilities here are extensive: a whole power rack and weight room on the base floor, a more cardio-focused room on the second, another "express gym" area on the second, and even an outdoor free and power rack area outside with punching bags on turf. I really love that they have pretty new, innovative machinery implementing relatively immersive AI or gamnified exercise. It's both exciting and fun, especially when you're not the biggest fan of redundant activity like me. I love seeing all people of different generations and backgrounds workout out here. It makes me feel like everyone belongs.

Walking into Fahrenheit Yoga already felt like I was betraying at least three generations. Somewhere, an uncle just shook his head for no reason. Hot 26(Bikram)at Fahrenheit is not yoga. It's a 90 minute hostage situation with stretching. The room is so hot your thoughts immediately file for divorce. First 10 minutes: confidence. Minute 20: regret. Minute 40: spiritual bargaining. Minute 60: God has left the chat, science is fake, and time is a social construct. By the end, you're just a damp, enlightened noodle. This class will: -delete your ego -uninstall your personality -defrag your spine -and factory-reset your soul I walked in with knee pain, back pain, hip pain, elbow pain, emotional stiffness, and a strong sense of masculinity. I walked out flexible, peaceful, and unsure who I used to be. This is better than pizza in Naples. Better than stouts in Ireland. Better than therapy, because therapy never made me sweat, cry, shake, hallucinate, and spiritually ascend while staring at a mirror. At some point I genuinely believed Hot 26 could: -fix the Arab world -end wars -bring Jesus back AGAIN -and make Him say "okay but why is it THIS hot" By the end of class, everyone looks like they survived the same disaster. No words. Just eye contact. Trauma bonded forever. Come early. Bring water. Do NOT come cocky. Fahrenheit Yoga isn't a studio it's a sauna powered personality eraser.
