They charged me for a 4th month without my consent. When I contacted them for a refund (via phone, email, and social media) they waited TEN days to respond and then didn't honor my request for a refund. They claimed they sent me an email in May saying that my membership would automatically renew unless I contacted them and requested otherwise. I had zero email communication from their studio stating this bizarre policy. Also, what is the point of selecting a 3 month membership if it will continue auto renewing forever? I had to contact my credit card company and they've filed a claim against them. Although I enjoyed the workouts, I can't recommend a fitness center with unethical business practices.

This studio SUCKS!!! I've been an OTF member for two years and I'm cancelling my membership simply…read morebecause I have had such a bad experience that I refuse to set foot in the door another time. I won't beat around the bush--the dealbreaker for me is how strict they are about their late policy which reflects absurdly poor customer service. Across OTF, there is a 5 minute late period, which I am obviously aware of and understand. The issue is that, at this studio, even if you are LITERALLY 10 seconds over 5 minutes late they will not let you in class. As in, if you sign up for a 7:15 class and walk in at 7:20 they will turn you away because, in their words, they can't let you in "the second the clock hits 7:20". The first time I was turned away I was frustrated but ultimately acknowledged it was my own fault. However, the second time it happened, it was because their main entrance was blocked due to construction - which members WERE NOT WARNED ABOUT beforehand - forcing me to do a lap around an entire block to get to a different entrance. I would have been on time but this made me about 30 seconds over 5 minutes late. Even though I asked them to consider the current situation, they refused to let me in. It is truly unfathomable to me why you can't offer a paying member grace in that situation when it is entirely management's own doing that it happened. I know I will probably get some passive aggressive response about "policy" and "safety" and they'll say they were nice for not charging me, but none of that justifies being strict down to the second when I have taken time out of my life to try to get in a workout. I can understand being turned away after, say, 7 minutes and I know that they have to draw the line somewhere, but you really can't even apply an ounce of nuance to the situation? How can you claim to be supporting people's fitness journeys when you won't even let them attend the classes they are PAYING FOR??? Quite simply I refuse to give more money to an establishment that has such absurdly poor customer service. It's really a shame because I like the workout and have made a lot of progress after two years -- it's sad to have poor customer service be the reason for cancelling but I am quite simply not getting the product I'm paying for. Beyond that issue, I feel like there is much less of a welcoming atmosphere here than at the Midtown studio, which is where I attended the past two years. Even after three months of taking classes 2x/week, nobody knows my name. Every time I was late I was treated like a kindergartener getting slapped on the wrist, not a grown adult who has other things going on in their life and just wants to have an hour to improve themselves. But hey, maybe they would have been nicer to me if my membership were based at this studio instead of Midtown! My advice is: if you're looking for a fitness class in East Nashville check out the Margaret Maddox YMCA, Burn Boot Camp or Seven Minutes. If you're looking for an OTF studio from out of town, definitely check out Midtown or West Nashville. Those studios will actually treat you like an adult and valued member :)

From Katie's gentle encouragement, to Mackenzie's steadfast silliness ("air out your armpits" while we do wheelbarrows never fails to make me giggle), to Anne Marie's casual confidence ("don't worry, it's just a workout!" is called out often during her classes) to Isobel's sharp eye for detail and corrections, you have the most amazing, supportive, attentive array of women. They adjust as needed, encourage when I'm dying, and bribe as necessary ("last oblique move of class!" Is my FAVORITE). I feel like I'm a safe little baby chicken under the protection of many mama hens when I'm in class with these rockstar women! I could never give this place any less than 5 stars. Honestly I wish I could give it 10. This place is my absolute favorite workout I've ever done in Nashville. This place is so good I stopped signing up for free ClassPass memberships under different phone numbers and now pay money for MPower. If you know anything about Asian people, you know what a big deal that is. I'm gonna call out the lady who left a 4 star review now. Yes, there is no showers. I don't see why it matters and why you'd dock a star. If the space wasn't plumbed for a shower what are they supposed to do, break building code and build one anyways? Drag a hose in and stick it up on the wall? Just go home and shower y'all. It's not that difficult and we need to support businesses by phenomenal, stellar people, not knock them down for petty little things. I personally would carry deodorant, perfume, and a change of clothes with me, change and freshen up in the bathroom, and go straight to work with no issue. But you do you boo boo it's your world I'm just guest starring. If you want to start looking and feeling like a Victoria's Secret Angel, go here. My abs have never been this defined and I swear my butt is an inch perkier. If this is all achieved in six weeks, I can't wait to see what I look like in six months!
