Awesome atmosphere! The manager Laura was extremely nice and professional. The instructors in my opinion are the best in Nashville!

My teacher was holly and she was great and friendly. Her class was hard but I didn't expect anything less from NB workouts! I personally like the set up of the studio, it's much different than our studio in Arlington. I like the change in scenery. If you've never been here, it's in a small square across from the Macy's/Starbucks and the studio is upstairs! You sign in the front desk and come early if you are a new client. The cubbies and hooks are up front for you to put your stuff in before going in the studio. I never checked out the bathroom so I can't say much about it but I did see that there is free childcare if you are a mother or babysitting and wanna get a workout in. Front desk was friendly but not as friendly as I expected it to be. I told her that I signed up through classpass and she didn't seem to care much or asked where I'm coming from. I also forgot my water bottle and hair tie so I asked if they have hair ties and I had to pay $1 for a hair tie....like cmon now. My pure barre studio in Arlington has complimentary hair ties and make up ups, tampons, spray deodorant and dry shampoo in the bathrooms, those items should be complimentary especially mostly girls come to barre class. I like that we used the small foam rollers in the workout because that's new to me. I overall liked my experience and I would come back here again if I visit Nashville in the future. Holly talked to me after class and we bonded over barre classes and which ones were my favorite, I highly recommend taking her class!

Instructors and the front desk people know and learn your name, which makes you feel very welcome. As far as the exercise goes, it's a challenging class that actually gets harder the more that you go. Over the year, I've lost weight, feel stronger and overall better. Going to class has become a bit addicting. Another thing that I love about the Bar Method is that they offer a variety of classes that are easy to schedule online or on an app. It's easy to work into my daily schedule. Additionally, since I travel for work, I'm able to attend classes in other cities (for a fee). I've had a hard time sticking to other exercise because of my weird schedule. The other great thing about the class is that you don't necessarily sweat a whole lot-- I never feel like I absolutely have to shower afterwards. It sounds dumb, but it makes a huge difference in the amount of time taken out of your day. You are able to go to a noon class and then can go to a meeting at 1:30 and not look like a wreck. I encourage anyone looking into trying the program to sign up for a month and to go as often as you can. Going to one class does not do much for you, but attending 3-4 classes a week definitely makes a huge difference.

The part I would comment on and is no fault of theirs necessarily, is the difficulty in parking. The garage next to it is impossible to get into at certain times of the day, if turning left. Ouch. Ouch. Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuch!…read more Pure Barre will literally kick your ass. I am a pretty tough broad when it comes to working out and such, hence my addiction to Hot Yoga Nashville but this class works muscles that you didn't even know that you wanted to tone. A good friend of mine has been raving about how her body has literally changed since attending Pure Barre and how after 8-10 classes you can see the difference. I was intrigued so when she offered to treat me to the class, I was ready to drink the Kool-Aid especially since her tush spoke the truth. The class was pretty full and our pregnant yet very fit instructor (is that really fair? I think not.) lead the way with her headset and thumping dance music into some of the most excruciating movements that I have my ol' body through in a long time. The movements are constant and fluid with very little time to catch a breath. I did appreciate that the class was divided into sections to focus on specific areas of the body. We used little and weights, exercise bands, and workout mats throughout in addition to the barre. This workout is a hybrid of pilates/aerobics/ballet. I survived the class but would suggest newbies taking a private class to learn the different moves 1-on-1 with the instructor because I'm not sure that I did everything correctly due to the fast pace. This would really ensure that I am getting the most out of my workout especially since the classes are not inexpensive and will run you $23 a class. However, as a new client you can sign up for the 1 month unlimited class package for $100 which is clearly a much better deal. Due to the location being in Green Hills not really being convenient for me on a regular basis, I don't know how often I will be back to take classes. (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) However, I know that if I need a jumpstart to my workout, this is a fantastic option. TIP: This class requires that you take your sneakers off and wear socks, so I would also suggest wearing a thick pair with some traction on the bottom to prevent slippage and to better grip the floor. Slipping and sliding in the studio is not so cute.

Walking into Fahrenheit Yoga already felt like I was betraying at least three generations. Somewhere, an uncle just shook his head for no reason. Hot 26(Bikram)at Fahrenheit is not yoga. It's a 90 minute hostage situation with stretching. The room is so hot your thoughts immediately file for divorce. First 10 minutes: confidence. Minute 20: regret. Minute 40: spiritual bargaining. Minute 60: God has left the chat, science is fake, and time is a social construct. By the end, you're just a damp, enlightened noodle. This class will: -delete your ego -uninstall your personality -defrag your spine -and factory-reset your soul I walked in with knee pain, back pain, hip pain, elbow pain, emotional stiffness, and a strong sense of masculinity. I walked out flexible, peaceful, and unsure who I used to be. This is better than pizza in Naples. Better than stouts in Ireland. Better than therapy, because therapy never made me sweat, cry, shake, hallucinate, and spiritually ascend while staring at a mirror. At some point I genuinely believed Hot 26 could: -fix the Arab world -end wars -bring Jesus back AGAIN -and make Him say "okay but why is it THIS hot" By the end of class, everyone looks like they survived the same disaster. No words. Just eye contact. Trauma bonded forever. Come early. Bring water. Do NOT come cocky. Fahrenheit Yoga isn't a studio it's a sauna powered personality eraser.

I was a member at Fahrenheit Yoga for five years. Never a complaint. Never a confrontation. The…read moreteachers are excellent -- Naima and Nikki especially. If this review were about them, it would be five stars. It's not. A yoga studio sells more than exercise. It sells a philosophy. Non-harming. Truthfulness. Compassion. Equanimity. When you pay for yoga, you're paying for a space where those principles are supposed to mean something. Two days ago, I got there early for a spot near the support bar. I have newly diagnosed early onset arthritis and was trying to take care of my body that day. A woman I'd never met asked me to move. She said she had a broken hip. I said, "You have a broken hip?" -- genuinely surprised. She'd had surgery and was recovering. I nodded and moved. I was annoyed; but, I did exactly what was asked of me. No argument. No scene. Twenty seconds. She replied with attitude, "Thanks for being so nice about it." I let it go. Here is what I did wrong: I asked a question before complying, and I didn't smile while doing it. What I didn't know: she was the owner's close friend of twelve years. She didn't know my name -- staff must have given it to her so she could complain about a member who had complied with her request. Within an hour, the owner, Nora Shabayek, called me. Hostile from the first sentence -- not investigating, but defending a friend. She made it plain: this was personal, her dear friend of twelve years, and I lacked compassion. She read her friend's text messages aloud as evidence -- accusations that were grossly exaggerated and often false. She talked over me. Got loud. She kept claiming she was protecting the space -- from what? A twenty-second interaction where I complied and no one was harmed? While she berated a loyal member with zero curiosity, zero grace? She terminated my five-year membership over someone else's account of something she never saw. She never genuinely asked for my side. The truth wasn't important -- it was her relationship with her friend that mattered here. Nora claimed others in the room agreed I was rude. I don't believe it. Anyone in that room saw one question, then compliance. The worst anyone could say is I didn't look happy about moving -- and if that's grounds for termination, no customer is safe. Someone who berates a customer, acts on hearsay, and terminates a five-year relationship while claiming to protect the space is the person the space needs protecting from. What made the calls surreal: Nora kept emphasizing her friend's severe limitations -- couldn't get up stairs, needed parking cones. She was confirming exactly why my question made sense. She was making my case for me. I called back hoping to be heard. Every time I responded to false accusations, she talked over me and called me combative. The dynamic was set: she was right, I was wrong, and defending myself was further proof that I was a villain. Twenty seconds undid five years and all the money I poured into this studio. A few things Nora never did: ask why I was near that bar. Consider I might be managing my own body. Weigh five years of loyalty against twenty seconds of compliance. Apologize. Acknowledge she witnessed nothing. To his credit, the studio manager, Nick, called me afterward. He acknowledged the termination was wrong and reinstated my membership. I appreciate him. He was the one professional and fair person trying to make it right. I cancelled. I cannot practice where the owner settles personal grievances with business authority (clear abuse of power), violates client privacy, and embodies the opposite of every principle on the walls. The teachers are wonderful. The classes are high quality. But the person running the place doesn't practice what she sells. What happened wasn't ahimsa, satya, or compassion. It was someone with power using a business to punish a stranger because her friend felt slighted by a question and a lack of a smile. I loved this studio. I recommended it to many over the years. Going forward, those recommendations come with a warning.
