Like everyone else who is a beginner at Club Pilates, I was unsure if I could keep up or even complete a class. With the help of my instructors, I not only conquered those doubts but exceeded my own expectations. The changes in my body are remarkable but it didn't happen without dedication. I started out with 8 classes a month but over time I evolved to 3 - 4 times a week. Today, I'm proud to say, that within months, I've earned my "100th Class" t-shirt - it's like a badge of honor from Club Pilates! I wear it with pride, lol. One of the most remarkable aspects of Club Pilates is the professionalism of the instructors, including the friendly faces at the front desk, as well as Karen (the CP general manager). Just as important are the connections and friendships I've made along the way - an unexpected bonus. In addition, Club Pilates hosts a variety of free workshops that teach and bring members together. There is a hierarchy of capable individuals who are dedicated to handling anything you think is a problem, no matter how big or how small. Throughout this journey, I have encountered a few frustrations myself and once I made the effort to speak up (either to the front desk or email the general manager) it was always a simple fix. I want to extend an encouraging invitation to anyone who may be curious or hesitant. Club Pilates offers one free class so you can dip your toes into the world of Pilates and experience firsthand the positive impact it can have on your life. Call the front desk and ask how you can sign up for a free intro class. Don't feel intimidated, this initial appointment is to show you how anyone can do it. The environment is comfortable, the instructors are easy to talk to and they will answer all your questions (especially if you're concerned about health-related issues). This journey has redefined my understanding of Pilates and my new goal for this upcoming year is to try new classes and new instructors. I've done Pilates at almost every studio in Dallas and Houston and this is the only studio that I've ever committed to. I've had a difficult time finding a studio that wasn't so challenging that I dreaded looking forward to it vs a studio that was so easy that it felt like a waste of money and time and don't even break a sweat. The workouts here are versatile and use the accessories in a manner that flows well and doesn't feel forced. The instructors give good cues and always give instructions for lighter or more challenging options. I get to leave class everyday knowing I did something to move and work on my posture and form without absolutely destroying me for the rest of the day. I just knew I would be charged the class. However, this complaint not only charged me my class but they charged me $25 for not showing up. How is this even possible? I paid for my seat in the class when I purchased the class. Whether I show or not is irrelevant. I do not recommend this company. No one has returned my email or phone calls.

First off this location is super convenient for me early mornings, when I am trying to get in a…read morecombo running/yoga type of workout. Earlier in the week I went to Katie's 5:30 AM vinyasa class! Be aware if you arrive right on time early mornings the door may be locked, it seems to be an automatic feature since no one was checking people in the lobby. Katie saw me and immediately let me and another girl in. The yoga studio is smaller than I'm used to but it made for an intimate session and Katie was able to quickly make adjustments. She is pretty hands on, which as a local fellow fitness instructor I am very used to. But it may be something you mention if you are not keen on people touching you. Proper alignment is important to me in yoga, especially a faster paced class, and honestly this has been very healing for me after years of running my body into the ground with ultramarathon and endurance racing. But since I've been training for a fall trail race (!) I am getting back into my namaste practice. They have other amazing things there as well as Pilates and reformer looking machines. They are also on Class Pass so I will be dropping back in to visit.

I think the studio owner is very knowledgeable and grounded in providing a highly principled and safe space for everyone. I have had minor strains and postural issues for a while now that are finally improving and virtually asymptomatic after a few months of one on one private lessons. Other pilates and fitness category studios can be very high energy and are mostly a lot of fun, but they don't offer much individual feedback or correction, and discomfort from old strains or poor posture tends to get worse without someone who knows what they're doing look out for you. Monthly memberships and barre, yoga, etc are also offered here which is a great plus for when your wellness attention span is in need of variety. I've been here off and on now for over 2 years, and it's been absolutely worthwhile. Lela might be the most cheerful front desk staff I get to run into all the time lol. But in general also, everyone here is great.
