Wish I could comment on the quality of work or timeliness, but Keith couldn't be bothered to respond back to set up a time to do a walkthrough. Just was looking to get an estimate for a kitchen remodel and was recommended to him. I called 3 times and emailed and didn't hear back from him. His phone always goes straight to voicemail. He did actually get back to me at the end of the week after I tried contacting him, apologized for getting back to me so late and said he'd call me the next week to set up an appointment. He never called and I tried calling and emailing him to see if we can get something set up. It's been 3 weeks since our first initial contact. It's a sign of a bad contractor if they're unresponsive or can't be bothered with potential clients. I understand most contractors are overworked with jobs, as many are booked through the next year. But at least those contractors will respond back in a timely manner to say they can't take a job. It's not a good business practice to ignore people as your reputation will spread. read more

My mother and recently had knee surgery. She recently bought a house and numerous repairs needed to be made. I called a lot of contractors and none were available, the few that were showed up but never got back to us. Keith and Josh were extremely prompt and friendly and also very fair on the pricing. They helped my mother with everything she needed. With my mother being elderly, she always worries she will be taken advantage of, and with me not in town, I worry about this as well. We hired Keith to remove 2 satellite dishes from our second story roof and patch up the holes. He is personable and prompt, with excellent communication skills and does what he says he will when he says he will! Keith and team are genial guys who have seemly good intentions. That being said, they are really slow at completing tasks. I have a gas line they extended in the back of my home that's still not been properly covered nor painted. It's been nearly two months since the process began. If you don't mind having your tasks stalled indefinitely, then by all means, hire these guys. Purdy's replaced the old galvanized water lines in 2 of our 2-story townhouses recently. In the process, they also corrected work under other units that was completed previously by other contractors. The pricing was more than fair in our estimation, especially given the additional work they performed to correct the issues we had no knowledge of that were left behind by 4 other different contractor companies. The dedication to and professionalism for the job at hand was evident throughout the entire process even when they were called off-site to emergency situations. The job was completed beyond expectations and in a timely fashion. Josh is exacting and detailed in his work; he also demonstrates extensive knowledge of the construction industry. Additionally, he and the crew working with him were consistently cordial when interacting with us and they were considerate of the premises. We look forward to working with Josh and team through Purdy's again in the very near future. Hired to fix a broken water main. Told me it would be $425 dollars to fix and it would be an easy job. They got to our house and found that the water line was not 2 feet deep so he would need to charge me $160 hour for 2 guys to dig it out and would give me a better estimate when he got to the main water line. One of the guys left as he said it was a one person job. Ended up being 4 1/2 feet deep I never got a updated estimate. I went to check on him a couple times and no one was there, he left and came back a few times. He put a new shut off valve under the house instead of repairing the one outside of the house like we asked. It's not really convenient to crawl under my house to turn off the water. When done he insisted we pay $969 on the spot would not give us a receipt or invoice said he would email it to us. Had to call twice to get the emailed receipt it was not itemized just water main repair $969. Left the 4 1/2 foot hole said they would come back the following week to check for leaks and fill the hole and that it was included in the price. Never came back out or contacted us again. My husband filled it in himself after a month. Very disappointing, feel like I was scammed. read more
