Do not be fooled by the name, this is anything BUT a "Pup's Paradise" and more like a "Dog's Nightmare". The lady who runs the place is extremely rude, not only to the dogs, but to the owners as well. You have to keep your dog there for a week, and she charges you every time you want her to send a picture of your dog to you. She keeps the dogs (many were there) in cages without beds or blankets in them and the floors are made of concrete. Atleast the floors help keep the dogs cool(hopefully) because all there is are two floor fans, but that does not help at all because it has been 85-95 degrees here for the past two weeks. Now, on to the treatment of the dogs. Our dog is constantly being tugged on by the trainer, and I don't mean tugged on like you would if they are walking in the wrong direction, I mean tugged to the point that they yelp in pain. Also, she swats the dogs with rolled up newspapers. This is her bright idea of how to train a dog? Not to mention her screaming at the other dogs at the top of her lungs every minute you're there. Maybe this was how you would want to train a dog 50 years ago and for free from the comfort of your own home atleast. I mean, anyone can smack a dog with a newspaper, the whole point of paying hundreds of dollars for training is to have it be done in a manner in which your dog can learn to behave without being constantly scared it's going to be chocked by a leash or get smacked in the face. Like I said, not only is she rude to the dogs, but she treated me and my husband like we were the stupidest people in the world every time we asked her a question. Either that or she would completely lose her train of thought and act as if we didn't even ask her a question. On top of everything, her instructions are to keep her locked up in her cage in the garage for 2 hours every day. And we can't even let her sleep in our room, she has to be kept in her cage in the garage to sleep as well. We didn't spend hundreds of dollars to buy a prisoner for our home, we bought the dog for companionship and to fill a void in our hearts that we have had since our kids have gone away to college. Needless to say, we won't be following any of her outrageous instructions and will be taking our sweet little puppy (thankfully she didn't change too much while kept there) to a new trainer. My word of advice to you is, keep you money! This lady(Carroll if I remember correctly) is an absolute rip off! If it were up to me, I would have her pet training business taken away from her IMMEDIATELY. This has been an absolutely horrible experience. read more
