Our Saint Bernard came home looking like a different dog I know she must feel soooo much better with all the loose fur and mats out, and Bark Side didn't shame us or make me feel awful about how bad her coat was (which I greatly appreciated because I already beat myself up over it tenfold). I cannot recommend them enough and hope to take our Saint Bernard back for regular visits to keep her feeling and looking great!!!

This company will not allow you to register until you speak to them on the phone, no matter how…read moremuch information you provide them. And you will not be put on a waiting list, so you will need to speak to them multiple times. The other communication options they provide you are just a diversion. They may be good at getting the desired response from a dog, but I failed to satisfy them as a human. I was never able to get my puppies enrolled even though I contacted them for the first time on the day I brought my puppies home. If you want a proactive opportunity to bond with your pup before problems have a chance to occur, this is NOT the place for you.

The cats took to her right away, which isn't usually the case with one of them. Customer service at Pampered Paws is exactly what you want when you are turning over your house keys and entrusting someone with your pets. She always got right back to me to answer any questions I had. We did an initial meeting at the house where we went over all the paperwork and info about the cats and everything she needed to know about the house. She is very detail oriented. While we were gone she would check in once a day with texts to notify us she had visited the house and that the cats were ok. Angie is very professional and it's so nice to be able to go out of town and know that the kitties have been well taken care of. I highly recommend her if you are in the market for a new pet sitter or need any of the other services she offers to help you take care of your pets.

They do not listen to you or your concerns. Our family's animals have always gone to here and in the last few years, I feel as if they do not care about saving or helping people's fur babies. There is no care or empathy for animals. We. took our dogs there last summer and were treated like absolute SCUM by the techs, Tracy, and her husband. One of the techs told us to our faces that she was not bathing our dogs because she "didn't want to". Our most recent visit, we waited an hour and a half in the waiting room. Our dog clearly could not breathe, but we still needed to wait. There were dogs there for shots and smaller things, whatever. We finally got back into a room. Tracy told us she didn't hear or see anything wrong. She shoved medicine at us and told us "that's what she would do". We demanded at least an xray be done. She did the xray. Told us everything looked good and that he was fine. There was some fluid on his lungs but she had no concerns. Everything looked "good". We left. Our dog suffocated and died. Capital Illini is by far the best place to take your pets in this area. I cannot say enough good…read morethings about their staff from the receptionists, care coordinator, vet techs, to the Doctors... The care my dog received here was exceptional, and communication is top notch. Every Doctor we have met with was phenomenal and my experience with each one of them has been amazing. They listened and took time to research the case and explain difficult results. Dr. Carie doing a deep dive into our challenging case and providing innovate treatment of IV ketamine therapy for pain. The others caught an early cushings diagnosis through yearly wellness procedures and she didn't even have any symptoms (I can't thank them enough for this). I'll be forever grateful to this team and recommend you go see them as well. You'll be doing your pet a big favor. In this day and age there is a lot of incompetence in Healthcare but you won't find that here.

My grandma, who lives with my family, had a cat who was around four years old. Her name was Clarity…read moreand she was a tiny little girl, only seven pounds when she died, but she had teeth problem and had to get a few extracted. The vet did not want to complete the surgery in one sitting, and scheduled the rest of the teeth to be removed about three months after the first surgery. About two weeks before the surgery, we took her in, and it turns out, her nerve was exposed and her teeth were reabsorbing. They sent us home with pain meds and a $700 vet bill after that appointment. She stopped eating a week before the second surgery and ended up with liver failure. She was too weak to leave her bed and she had to be put down. If they had done the full surgery, my cat would be alive right now. She was very skittish, being a rescue, and I was the first person to be able to get close to her and show her some love. She was finally getting used to us when she died. Do not go to this vet, as all they want is to drain your bank account.
