I ever used to go to petco, because people told me it was expensive. Some of the equipment is, but the fish are reasonably priced. The staff there is helpful and try to work with you if there is a problem. I'm there about once a week and it is also somewhere I can take my dog if it's freezing outside.

Any bird seed I've bought from here was always of high quality. No little bugs or shriveled up peanuts from here. We have been getting our dry cat food from here now exclusively. PetCo couldn't compete in price for the quality we are getting here. We figure that by buying better cat food we save on not having to take our cats to the vet for problems so the better food here saves us money in the long run. Try even finding a dry cat food at PetCo with no grain in it. One would think that since cats never eat grain in the wild it should be easy to find a grain free cat food, but that is where Jay Mar comes to the rescue. They also have some cat hair ball gel with catnip in it that our long haired cat loves. Any of the other hairball gel the cat hated and would only eat it if you rubbed it on her paw. I went through this rambling about our cats to show that if it's your cat, dog, lawn, garden, or birds that your trying to find just the right thing for, then try here. The workers are very knowledgeable and helpful too, yet they are very respectful to just let you just look around without being pestering if that is what you want.

We took our yorkie in for bath and trim We were called 20 minutes later that she was ready to be picked up. Her back still looked dirty but I thought maybe she wasn't dried yet. When we got home I noticed blood on my hand and husband's jacket. Her little ear was full of blood and down on her collar. One of her paws was also bleeding. To top it all off, she had NOT been bathed! That's what the appointment was for! Her face was still dirty, backside had bits of poop stuck to it and her back and neck under her collar were still greasy. Our dog loved our groomer in AZ but couldn't get out if this place soon enough! Also it's a damn puppy mill! Do Not patronize!

Leaving cats outside to find their way home will not help them find their way home, will not help their very worried owners find them, stop them from getting into fights, get injured, hit by vehicles, poisoned, keep them warm/cool/ dry, fed, watered, etc. The "shelter" wouldn't be so full if they would promote helping cats rather than leaving them to die a slow death outside, scared and alone. Compassion and help is better than doing nothing. Bob Barker used to say it every single day, "Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered." This shelter needs to embrace that and help people get their pets fixed so there won't be a bunch of intact cats running around making more kittens. Instead, they block anyone who posts these suggestions. One of their greatest advocates...and they block on FB because of criticism that they know darn well is correct!!! They can't handle the truth!
