My dog had a cracked canine tooth. I had set up an appt to have the tooth removed. I received a call from the vet prior to surgery, & she thought the tooth could be saved via a root canal. But Oakview does not do root canals! She made a recommendation for another practice, sent the records over & my appt is all set up. LOVE Oakview!!!! read more

I originally had to bring a rabbit in to see their small animal vet and more recently I have had my puppy there and they are very knowledgeable and friendly. We could not be happier with the staff and care received at Oakview Veterinary Medical Center. Dr. Curtis performed a valuable ultrasound on our cat and provided very thorough, knowledgeable, friendly communication throughout the whole process. She ensured all our questions/concerns were addressed and offered all other available options and next steps possible both pre and post diagnosis. Our cat was gently handled, and Dr. Curtis also offered to inform our local vet about everything. It was a relief visiting this vet clinic, my rescue dog came to me with a great fear of vets, and he did really well with the staff here. They took their time with us, and gave my dog time to acclimate to them and his surroundings. I was referred to Oakview by my parents, all of our family pets have gone there. I had recently gotten an Italian Greyhound puppy, and he needed to go to the vet to for a first appointment. The receptionist was very friendly and polite, as was most of the staff. A vet tech came to get us, and told me I could finish filling out my paperwork while she does an exam on my puppy. The vet tech put my dog up on the table (which was about waist-height on me,) and then turned around to fill out some paper work. My dog fell off of the table and landed on the floor, and immediately started screaming. I thought my dog had broken a bone the way he was crying. The vet tech apologized, and my dog ended up being fine. I understand that it was an accident, but if a little bit more caution would have been taken, a potentially bad situation could have been avoided. My dog and I will be back to Oakview, I'll just be paying more attention to what is going on during the appointment. read more
