I would like to add a comment to the above negative post. I am the worker who called Regarding the dogs Incident. 1st of CHILDREN do not WORK there. We are a Family friendly business and yes my 2 kids come with me from time to time, (my daughter wasn't 11 at the time either) At that time I was a single mom and didn't have child care. Both my kids know not to touch dogs without permission. That said Niether of my kids were with that day. Both dogs were separated at all times to eat. Never given them biskits or cookies unless we have permission from owners to do so. The dogs were in a smaller or regular sized run, which yes can fit 2 dogs fine for shorter stays, we recommend a larger one for long stays. These dogs had been there for over a week already. She told me when I talked to her that the big dog has snapped here and there but never attacked the smaller dog.
That again said, that day I let them out to go potty.. they came back in and a few minutes later I heard fighting, yelping ect. I went running over there to find the bigger dogs mouth over the smaller dogs. I got them apart and the small dogs eye was bulging. I called the owners right away not getting and answer. So I called the owner of the kennel not sure what to do next besides rush this dog to the vet. She told me to keep calling and look up an emergency number, I found one which was a friend not a daughter. She said she would meet me at the vet. I rushed the dog down to the vet, by that time the owner FINALLY called me back I explained the full thing and she was upset but said she knew it wasn't our fault the big one has snapped before just never attacked (guessing they could get away from eachother before). I stayed with as long as I could at the vets office till the took the smaller dog back to see if they could save the eye or remove it. The owner then called me again and asked me to explain it again. I explained everything a 2nd time even apologizing even though there was nothing I could of done. Luckily I was still there as I was almost done with my let outs. I could of missed it and it could of been a dead dog issue. She thanked me for everything and said she was going to call the owner.. she did. Marci explained to her excatly what I told her as I was the one at the kennel. The owner THEN called me again and asked me to explain what happened again. I told her again. She thanked me and said she just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Nope nothing to hide.
She never once called us to complain, instead she hides behind bad reviewing us. Also I will add, we don't have a POLL that is used on dogs.. we have had a catch poll for our safety with extremely aggressive dogs but don't use it unless we HAVE to and never did we need to use it on her dogs. We don't use it on scared dogs.
Most of all the owners who board with us, know my kids come with me here and there and they will tell us if they don't want the kids playing with them ect. I personally have had owners tell me they are glad the kids can interact with the dogs and play with them. I've had owners thank me for sending them updates, good or bad. And willing to go the extra mile. I have been bit, attacked and loved by many dogs. I take pictures every time a new dog comes in, when we play outside or holidays, to keep owners updated. We work hard to provide a safe and happy environment for all the dogs and treat them and their owners as family. read more
