It's me the birthday girl
Dena W.

A must-visit for dog lovers--and even if you don't have a pup, you'll still have a great time! We visited Pups and Pints to celebrate our Boston Terrier Lexi's third birthday, and I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was! From the moment we arrived, the space felt incredibly welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully designed with both pups and people in mind. The food was pretty good. I ordered a Boston Terrier hotdog fries and onion rings. I even tried their mango margarita which was delicious. The portions were very generous, and the food was cooked to perfection. There's plenty of outdoor seating, and the setup is casual and convenient--you order your food and drinks at a cute little walk-up window, then bring it back to your table. They've got cocktails, beer, and a solid menu for humans, but what really impressed us was their dog menu--Lexi got the most adorable birthday pup cup, and yes, she absolutely loved it. There are outdoor swings and fire pits, oversized connect four games hockey sack. They even have different entertainment different night of the week. They were supposed to have music bingo on the night we went, but for some reason, there was no bingo. The staff? Super friendly. Everyone genuinely seemed to love dogs and took the time to make Lexi feel extra special on her big day. They offer a fenced-in, off-leash area for pups who meet their registration criteria (definitely check their website before you go!), or your dog can sit with you at your table if they're more chill and prefer the social vibes. It's truly a spot where dogs can be dogs and owners can relax with a drink in hand. We'll definitely be back--birthday or not. Highly recommend for playdates, parties, or just a sunny afternoon out! --Lexi the Bougie BT's humans ‍

Pups and Pints combines everyone's, yes obviously everyone's 2 favorite things, Dogs and Food. Do you love dogs, this is the place, do you love food, this is the place, do you love both... Welcome to heaven!! Important that you do go to the restaurants website if you open to bring your dog! On a more measured note, our lunch really was delicious and we got to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and the pups playing. We learned they do evening events and they have the perfect venue for it. It's fun, welcoming and all the staff seem great. Ordered inside, got a buzzer and went outside to wait. Then grabbed our food from the service window looking to the outside. If you're a local make this a go to spot, if you're on vacation, you definitely need to go see what all the fuss is about. And if you've read this far, I know your tail must be wagging! Enjoy!!

My new favorite spot to bring my mini! The day was sunny with the perfect setup. The tables are fairly spaced out, there are different sections. I was a little confused when I got in considering, I didn't know how to order. I finally went up to the counter and started a tab. I ordered fried pickles, a burger a non alcoholic beer and a patty for my pup. The food was delicious and fresh!!! I would expect the fried pickles to be a little cheaper considering there's about 10 pickles total. As for the patty my dog enjoyed it! We sat together although, there is a place where the dogs can play. I will be back and can't wait

Love the atmosphere here. I can watch the game , drink my liquor and pet dogs. As a mariner I can't own one as Im at sea a lot. I enjoy watchin them runnin around enjoying themselves . Awesome place for dog owners for sure. They have breeding schedule, doggy day care and everything. Feels weird being the lone dog less guy there , but it fills a void for me. I love dogs ! I have had the volcano burger and Mac n cheese. They are both pretty good. They even have menu selections for the pups. I can never catch the funnel cakes though.

Our sweet girl on their pet friendly turf in the common outdoor leash area

Let me preface that I've been here for a few occasions. Trivia, quick dinner, drinks, even their dog park once. But last night, I came by to share one more meal with my almost 14 year old Golden Retriever, and pups & pints made it one to remember. Their dog friendly menu offered our girl some delicious options, we had to cut up a burger for her but she enjoyed every moment of it. When the staff learned this would be her last meal, they went above and beyond, giving her a bowl of treats, whipped cream, a pet friendly cupcake, some love and all the condolences. When the rain came but we weren't ready to go, they allowed us to take shelter inside (she is a retired service dog but typically inside is for humans only for their restaurant area). She was offered water & lots of check ins. They were so kind, gentle and respectful. Our sweet girl has passed over the rainbow bridge now & I know she did it feeling happy, loved & full. Thank you Pups & Pints for the sweet memories before we had to say goodbye.

Ya'll know what this is another 4.5 star review. Full disclosure. I don't hate or dislike dogs. I just dont care to see people and pets in every store or restaurant I enter. This place? They got it right! It is designed for dogs & their humans! Outside doggie play area. They dogs can sit with their owners in the bar area and there is a doggy daycare situation that happens during the week. I must say the dogs who were there were well socialized and so were their humans. The bartenders were on point! They even had a side window for the dog and humans outside. Fried pickles were excellent. Y'all know I am a fan of those. However, the price point for what you get? Nah. That was more like a $5 serving or a side serving. $8? I need a plate! Cut me up a whole pickle please. The hot dogs? Excellent. We doubled up for a few dollar more. Worth it! Keeping with the theme, the hot dogs are named after various breeds. These are the reviews I hate. The ones where I gotta put ya'll on to a gem of a spot. Be advised there isn't a lot of indoor seating. We were there with the Ravens flock. I don't know if the limited seating was due to he group OR if that is typical on game day so get there early!

Chicken bites for pups

Would give more than 5 if I could! Loved this place! We brought our two shepherds here and they enjoyed it just as much as we did! Food was great, loved that they had options for the pups! Tons of different delicious drinks as well! Hooks on the tables to keep your dogs on so you can be hands free was such a small but great added touch and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Staff were great from the moment we walked through the gate, being our first time everyone was so helpful. We're from out of state and will definitely be returning someday because we enjoyed it so much.

This place was the cutest little outdoor area to bring my pup! There is plenty of seating and things do to such as cornhole, some outdoor games and even a little sand box for little ones. The dog park area where you can let your furry friend roam without a leash is something you have to pay for or gain a membership for, so we ended up not doing that and keeping our pup with us in the seating area. There is a little window on the side of the building where you can order your food and they give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. I was super surprised how good the food was. We ordered the Philly Burger, BBQ Chicken Flatbread and the Fry Flight (not pictured). All were SO GOOD, and portioned pretty well! It definitely was a little pricey but given the quality of the food, I couldn't be mad about it. There was a good selection of beers as well. Definitely would come back to plan more pup dates with friends/family!

Super unique spot for doggos! They have an area where you don't actually have to pay for the dog "membership" but your dog has to be leashed. The off leash area is a fenced in area that has a small splash pad. The area is nice but I wish there were more trees for some natural shade. We ordered a frozen pina colada, super yummy! I'm glad that they have more than just beers! Overall, great experience but would not frequent.

BullDog Hotdog

Overall this place has amazing potential! The scenery is great, and the customer service is good too, but the service is very slow probably due to having a short staff. My food was decent. I had the flatbread pizza, and my wife had the BullDog hot dog. The hotdog was really good!! They have a decent variety of beer and alcohol. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was very full, so try to show up early if you can. This business is very new, so I'm sure it'll take them some time to make more improvements. I will definitely return in the future because it is a good place to bring your dog.

My beautiful girlfriend, our dog, and I have been coming here religiously since it has opened. We have invited friends and family. All of us love it here. The staff is hands down the best! The bar offers quick service with a very large variety of drink/food options. The outdoor space is maintained and managed well by the pawficials. The free run area is great for socializing for both humans and dogs. There is nothing negative about this place! Will forever be a regular here! Bri is freaking awesome! She's a bad ass bartender and our favorite! Sherry is defending the life of the party! She's always greeting new propane making them feel welcome!

My Daisy and I love this place! She gets to play and run around while I get to enjoy a few drinks with friends. It's a great atmosphere and she really loves the outdoor play area. It's a fun, safe place for her to play with other pups and wear herself out

Draft beer selection
Patrick P.

I had the opportunity to visit Pups and Pints with a few friends and was absolutely blown away on how amazing this establishment is. I was running a memorial race in Virginia Beach that had an "after party" at this location and provided one free draft beer for anyone that stopped by. The bar and restaurant area is very well kept and opens up to a gorgeous outside seating area with plenty of chairs and shade. The draft beers are a mix of local and domestics and the food menu is everything you would want at a brewery type establishment. I didn't have my four legged friends with me but I can certainly see myself coming back in the future with them. The dog park attached to the restaurant has water activities and plenty of space for your pups to run around, there was even a dog yoga type of class going on! 100 percent recommended visiting if you want to check out a new, clean, fun venue that is extremely dog friendly in Virginia Beach

It's much larger than I expected and I love the dog park, large green area with the small three children's play areas, paved bike/running trails and the entire area. It's very big and there are several walking/hiking trails inside the main portion of the park spanning several miles and meandering through a wooded area that follows the marsh. It's well-kept and has multiple entrances from the Shadowlawn neighborhoods. -The entrance from VA Ave has a very small parking lot and then street parking. -The entrance from Indian Rd. has a much larger parking lot with plenty of space and opens to the large, green field with 3 separate play areas for toddlers with climbing sculptures in the shape of frogs and caterpillars. Really cute and has a pavilion and circular paved trail around it. -The entrance from Marshview Dr. has a small lot and this is where the dog park area is as well. Two tennis courts here across the street which are part of a small playground/tennis complex called Salt Marsh Park. Last weekend I finally went for a hike inside and covered about 1/3rd of the likable/walkable space. It's gorgeous! It's also neat bc they have it set up for trail bike riding and it's very well marked and laid-out. I came upon some beautiful areas for sitting and enjoying the view. If you haven't ventured here yet you should give it a try - actually pretty impressive in size and option for a neighborhood co-located park.

Nice size grass area to run and play and then 3 sections of little whimsical play areas. Frog area, Caterpillar area, and turtle area. Really nice paved walk ways with these beautiful little bridges. I ended up parking near the basketball courts. There were many people at the park but there was still lots of available parking around. I saw people playing basketball, soccer, kites, football, etc. I was surprised they had a horse shoe court that looked like they could have a tournament as there were so many lanes. I walked through the park at first, walked to the dog park, then the pond, then circled back to the forest playground, which was huge! If my kids were little they would have loved this place! They had a stage that could have a small outdoor concert. After checking out the kids' playground, I went for a full walk around the park and realized there were 9-11 memorials, military gold star family memorials, and other patriotic displays along with huge flag in the middle of the park. There were areas to have picnics, exercise areas, and lots of open space for pets and kids and any outdoor activities. There were two bathroom areas at opposite sides of the park. One near the kids playground and the other near the skate park. I did about 1.5 loops around the park before leaving. I didn't like that there were people smoking weed in their cars and the smell was pretty strong. But overall the park is nice and perfect for family outings and a day out in the sunshine.

While there is a shaded area with picnic tables, I kind of wish that the dog park had a few more trees for more shade, but that is a very minor complaint. Since the park is maintained by PETA, there is a lot of PETA messaging (e.g., why crating dogs is "bad") in certain parts of the park. Although I disagree with some of the messaging, it did not negatively impact my visit.

I love that they've thought of the details--there are two little kiddie pools with running water, so you can refresh them as needed.
