We love this park! It's a good size! Has two separate parks in front and the back. Near the fields is a better one for little kids. It's also perfect for the summer the canopies help keep the equipment from being so hot. They also have a paved walking path. A day park and restrooms

I can't believe this was my first time here! We've been living in the area for years now and we're just now visiting. We love it! My family and I brought our bikes here and biked the (almost) 1 mile trail. My son loved the playground. It was clean. It was easy to find. They had a dog park for dog owners. I love how it's not as busy as other parks in the area. It's kind of like your own little country area. They also have soccer and baseball fields. Their picnic areas are covered. I love this park and can't wait to go more often!

I only know this as the venue for my sisters wedding but it worked out perfectly. Beautiful back drop and plenty of parking. It can be more than a dog park and a playground for sure. The three shelters provide a decent amount of seated space and the walkway provides a paved path to the shelters. Be careful as the walkways do flood when it rains. Since the shelters are right up against the woods, watch for mosquitoes and spiders and other insects milling about.

This is my third visit with Hendrix. DC dog park is not divided into large/small, it's a large fenced in area with luscious grass and areas to humans to sit. There is a water fountain with bowls for use, just in case you forget yours, mutt mitts, and lots of parking is available. It's located next to a playground for the kids and a running/jogging trail. There is no membership fee required. Coming to this park is fun for my pup but so peaceful and serene for me. Whenever I need a break from my studies and just want some family time with our pup, this is our go to park.

Multiple slides! Different heights, sizes, twists, and straight. No tube ones!

This place is amazing. I have three kids, one with Autism, and this park was clean, safe, and had a lot for all of them to do. The bathroom could be a little closer , because running with a child who has to use the bathroom is not fun , but other than that - I recommend! Proof in the pictures!

Deep Creek Park is a newly built public park in Chesapeake, VA. It features a playground, fenced in dog park, walking trail, soccer fields, and multiple baseball fields. There is a public bathroom and even a water faucet in the dog park for your pet! There are covered picnic table areas as well, and there is lighting for the sport fields.

While there is a shaded area with picnic tables, I kind of wish that the dog park had a few more trees for more shade, but that is a very minor complaint. Since the park is maintained by PETA, there is a lot of PETA messaging (e.g., why crating dogs is "bad") in certain parts of the park. Although I disagree with some of the messaging, it did not negatively impact my visit.

On top of giving your dog a great play space, you can actually enjoy watching the cruise ships go by, which makes it a really unique spot. The park is divided into two sections: one side for small dogs and one for larger dogs. I love that they've thought of the details--there are two little kiddie pools with running water, so you can refresh them as needed. It's always clean, well-maintained, and has a few toys out for the pups to enjoy. Another plus is that it's not usually overcrowded, which makes it much more relaxing for both dogs and owners. The surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous (and honestly, I'd love to live there if it were in my budget!). All in all, Bea Arthur Dog Park is a wonderful place to bring your pup for some exercise, playtime, or just to enjoy the views. Definitely one of Norfolk's dog-friendly treasures!

But I didn't come for the cuteness of the pups, we came for the food lol. I have the chicken tacos and the fry flight. My son had the poodle dog with grilled onions and peppers with cheese sauce. He said it was very good wish I'd gotten him two. The guys who helped us were really nice guy's. The service was a bit of a wait, when we first came they told us it would be a 30 minute wait because the kitchen was a little backed up. Would come back to try some other things, the fry's were pretty good. I didn't really care for the chicken tacos. They were kinda just thrown together. But overall I'd come again.

When I arrived I walked to the back, and it was a cute setup for all our little furry friends to have fun, but for adults and kids to. There were lawn chairs, picnic tables, games, a side for leashed and unleashed dogs, and even a little wet area for the pups. It was also a bar/restaurant where you could eat inside or outside. The dogs aren't allowed in the inside part of the restaurant. The restaurant has hot dogs, sausages, Mac n cheese, burgers, tacos, and etc. The meals are reasonably priced. The hot dogs are thick, so your not getting a wimpy hot dog, it's meaty!! Lol. It might have been too much meat for me almost. You definitely get your money's worth!! The Mac n cheese was pretty good and cheesy, and the portion was great for the price. The fries we ok also. The area is really a vibe. It's chill and everyone is doing their own thing. They even have pup cups!! The dogs all seemed to be having a good time. When you walk in the smell of dogs hits you, but I don't have a dog so maybe that's why it's so strong. If you have a dog you probably won't even notice. Once I got used to that, it was fine. I think this is a fun little place to come wether you have a dog or not. Beer and alcohol are also served. The cocktails seem fun. My friend liked her spicy mango drink. The staff was also friendly! So yeah, check them out!!!!

I ended up parking near the basketball courts. There were many people at the park but there was still lots of available parking around. I saw people playing basketball, soccer, kites, football, etc. I was surprised they had a horse shoe court that looked like they could have a tournament as there were so many lanes. I walked through the park at first, walked to the dog park, then the pond, then circled back to the forest playground, which was huge! If my kids were little they would have loved this place! They had a stage that could have a small outdoor concert. After checking out the kids' playground, I went for a full walk around the park and realized there were 9-11 memorials, military gold star family memorials, and other patriotic displays along with huge flag in the middle of the park. There were areas to have picnics, exercise areas, and lots of open space for pets and kids and any outdoor activities. There were two bathroom areas at opposite sides of the park. One near the kids playground and the other near the skate park. I did about 1.5 loops around the park before leaving. I didn't like that there were people smoking weed in their cars and the smell was pretty strong. But overall the park is nice and perfect for family outings and a day out in the sunshine.
