Max had his group of friends since he was a puppy and the same dog walker as well. *If you are not a crazy dog lover you can stop reading now as the rest will not make sense. Max is very sensitive and routine oriented. He sleeps with his head nestled against my neck every night. I have a 1.5 year old son that is my world, but I consider Max my first born as we are inseparable. Taking all of that into consideration, I began the search for a dog-walker that I would be comfortable with, one that could help Max become acclimated to the suburbs. I'm a small business owner and do my homework and I'm very picky about service providers and their ability to go above and beyond. I had interviewed 3 dog-walkers that I would categorize as looking at this job as just that, a job (i.e. "let's hurry up and get this walk over"). Then, I met Christina. Christina has exceeded my expectations in every aspect of what she does. I respect that she's starting her own dog-walking business and has drive and determination, but most importantly she understands my connection with Max, how sensitive he is, and has catered to his needs as we've begun the adjustment to our new house. She has offered to stop by a few times during the day to check on him and that means the world to me. She's punctual and simply a genuinely good person that I trust enough to care for my boy. She understands what so many other people/companies don't anymore, and that's providing a good customer experience. My one concern is that others will begin to hire her because she is THAT GOOD. I want to hold onto her for the long-haul. I highly recommend Christina and guarantee you'll be thoroughly impressed with her.

But in walks Christina for the meet and greet and our dog calmed down within the first 5 minutes (quite a feat!). We knew from that moment on that it was a match. Besides being great with our dog, Christina is also just easy to work with in general. She's very flexible in terms of scheduling, doesn't mind giving meds if necessary, and is just an all-around nice, trust-worthy person. We couldn't be happier - and neither could our dog!

Here's the thing with sending your dog to training. It ONLY WORKS if you continue the work after…read more Having said that - I have nothing but amazing things to say about Doggone Fit and their staff. They are caring and professional. They get to really know your dog and set up a plan according to their behavioral needs. It is not a "one size fits all" training method as different dogs require different experiences with training. We are experienced German Shepherd owners, but we adopted a 9 month old Shepherd who had no previous training and was traumatized by the sudden death of her previous owner. She was nervous and insecure. She needed more than what we could give her. In comes Doggone Fit. Our trainer Richie fell in love with Leia and she him. We did the 2 week board and train and it was worth EVERY penny of the $2K+ we spent. Leia needed to learn some boundaries and build some confidence. She came home loving the tools and structure she learned. **And I will say it again** - YOU NEED to continue with the training. Your dog will come home improved and will have learned the tools, but unless you continue with the protocol your dog will backslide. We have stuck with Doggon Fit's protocol and Leia is thriving. We even boarded her for the first time with Richie and she was in heaven. It was like summer camp for her. Richie sent us daily updates and photos and we felt so good knowing she was having fun and in the hands of someone who cared for her and obviously knew her training needs. Here's a picture of our happy, confident girl now. She has come so incredibly far. If it wasn't for Doggone Fit we probably would have continued to struggle with meeting her specific needs. She loves the work she learned there and we continue with it daily. It gives her the confidence and structure she (and many dogs) need.

We initially worked with Richie for an introduction to training, which was tremendously helpful. We then worked with Joe Langlois, who was excellent with initial training and weekly adventure hikes for our pup. He spent so much time getting to know our pup to make sure he could bond and effectively work with him. He also took a tremendous amount of time to listen and explain everything including tips to help with our pup's anxieties, which have been an invaluable help. We loved having our high energy dog participate in the adventure hikes and seeing all the adorable photos Joe would very actively post after almost every walk. He obviously loves dogs and really cares about giving them exercise, fun, and training. Also he has rescued all of his dogs, a good marker of how much he cares about dogs in general. We hope to continue working with Joe and highly recommend.

Our consult was with Nance, and she was very patient in explaining the process and talking us through some initial things that we were struggling with. Then, we started with a training package that included 3 private training classes and 2 months of group obedience classes. We also went to a few puppy kindergarten classes. Nicole did the majority of our trainings and she has been a god-sent. She is very good with the dogs, and her energy level makes the training classes fun both for us and our dog. We learned a lot from Nicole and she helped us to feel a lot less stressed out and actually enjoy the puppyhood. The obedience class is set up like a monthly subscription, where you can go to as many classes as you want. We end up going about 3-4 times a week for 30 minutes, as it is a great activity to mentally exercise our dog and provide socialization while working alongside other dogs. We also started bringing our dog to their dog day camp 2x a week. Tim was also very patient in explaining the process. The dog day camp has been great in getting her to play with other dogs and allows her to learn obedience from others aside from us.

It's remarkable to see the progress that they make with her and how much they enjoy their training sessions! We are so lucky to have her expertise, she has changed the lives of so many dogs!
