So I broke my car mirror, I'm good at that stuff and my friend suggested coming to Puma's autobody. I called them and they were very patient with me making a few phone calls to see if they had the car mirror ready. After a few days when the mirror was ready I walked in, paid and waited for them to fix the mirror. They were fairly quick with it but it wasn't intensive work that would take hours. The staff was also very nice and friendly. The office of the shop was amazing, probably one of the best body shop offices you could ever see. The decor was tasteful and eclectic. I couldn't imagine a better experience than the respect, help, and detailed service provided at Puma's. I was in an accident late in the day. When I called Puma's, they were getting ready to close, but Christine told me that she would call her tow truck driver, who was several towns away, and tell him to stop by to pick up my car from the accident scene. In addition, she promised to stay open to meet me at the body shop, even past closing time. I had been to Puma's before, but this was above and beyond any service they had provided before (and even that was superior). From there, Puma took care of *everything.* Calling my insurance company, helping to open the claim, working with the adjuster, putting in a fair and timely estimate, picking up a rental car, and most importantly, keeping me informed with every step. Throughout the ~4 weeks from dropping off my damaged car to picking it up, I never had to worry about anything (as I had with other body shops in the area). They even worked with me on the price when the final bill was due after the insurance adjuster made a terrible mistake. As for this being the first time my car has been in a shop I got taken advantage of. I brought my car to Nina on 4/9. I then noticed that my signature was forged on a paper that Geico submitted through their portal of the check going to the shop. I never authorized anyone to sign any paperwork for me. I asked multiple times what is going on with my car & Nina would never answer my text. I went to work everyday & the shop would close anytime I got off and never had time to be able to pass by which made it worse on my case. I got my estimate a week later & had told Nina that I wanted my car to stop being worked on & I wanted to go somewhere else & pay for what has been done already bc of lack of communication & understanding. I came the next day @8am & they refused for me to get my car back & said they put it in the painting booth already. Matt comes out & interferes with the civil conversation Nina & I were having & started a hostile environment of screaming telling me to get out the store , I am disgusting, & give him back his rental while using profanity. Saying that he is going to report the rental as stolen & how I am not getting my car back. It was a big discussion on the price of how much the car was going to be. I explained how I never signed an agreement on any estimate & they already started working on my vehicle and then withheld my vehicle saying I cant go to another shop. Also with me being cursed out in front of other people, at that multiple people yelling at me against one person with a concern about their own vehicle. I later brought in a male figure with me because I felt scared being alone in the store to resolve the situation with my car & just bringing someone with me who has more knowledge in a situation like this. The car was already almost done so it was just the matter of waiting for it. I then went to picked up my car and I asked a copy of all the files in the folder and they refused and only gave me the receipt and nothing else. I asked multiple times who signed my signature & I was being laughed at & mocked by Matt and Nina herself was saying she just didn't know who did it. Signing someone signature is a crime. I dont know how many other papers have they signed under my name. This very concerning. Not sure why this shop decided to ignore me. Stopped by with a Jeep Wrangler to get some body work done out of pocket. They printed me out a quote and everything and I told them I'll call them when I can make an appointment. I literally called them the next day and no one could find my quote that they saved in the computer. I told them I spoke to Tony and they said they would call me back. Fast forward 3-4 days later I didn't hear from the shop so I decided to call them again, they still couldn't find my quote after I told them I was there a few days ago. So I told them the car model and what work needed to get done again, They said they would talk to tony and get back to me. A week passed and still nothing from them. I don't have time to play games if you don't want to service my car or have second thoughts about your initial quote just say something and we both would have saved time and moved on! I brought in my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit after I tried to drive it through the back of a Subaru. Anthony and his team went above and beyond and was always quick to answer the phone and give me updates on my car. The finish on the front end is perfect now, better than when I had bought the car. The paint is smooth with no orange peel and you can't see where it was blended in. Anthony even fixed some dents in my doors and fixed my door trim which had nothing to do with the accident. The truck really looks great now and all of the sensors that were housed in the front bumper all work perfectly. They even included a color matched paint touch-up kit! Right now my Volvo truck is there.......I will update my review once I get it back but I have to say they have been EXCELLENT so far. I was hit with my two little girls in the truck with me. I was so awfully scared and didn't really know how to handle this (I'm a widow and I know that's no excuse but having a man handle things like this my whole life it did make it extra stressful)...I went into Puma's and Danny came right out to check out the truck.....Christine was AWESOME- she literally sat with me on the phone with the insurance company (the people who hit me assumed full responsibility; I am very grateful that they were honest). I even had a rental car brought to Puma's where I left my Volvo. I have a nice rental (a Toyota Camry, safe vehicle) and I have nothing but good things to say about Puma's. I am very sad it's taking a long time but I do understand that patience is a virtue and you CANNOT rush something like this- I want it done to perfection as it went in. Right now, I would HIGHLY recommend this shop and I will update you as soon as I get the truck back with before/after pictures. I am just so sad that even though you are doing everything you can to ensure you are yours are safe on the road, all it takes is one person being careless behind the wheel to really inconvenience you (if not worse!) I went to another shop close by when I was given an estimate for $2,000 for a new front bumper. I asked around about going to another shop for a second opinion when I was referred to Puma's. When I walked in, I was greeted by 2 very nice and helpful woman who set me up with a mechanic right away. I waited in the waiting room & the meachanic came out within 15min. Not only did Puma's give me a way better price, but they were able to take my car right then & there! They also gave me a rental for the few hours that my car was in the shop so I wasn't stranded. I brought my gf's 1997 Nissan Maxima to Puma's because we were getting water inside after a hard rain. Anthony did a water test and concluded that the water was getting in from the windshield and sunroof. He blasted out the debris from the clogged sunroof drain channels which made a huge difference. We still get some water coming in after a hard rain because the seam from the windshield is rusted, but the car is 20 years old and we are just gonna deal with it. Anthony was super nice and the work he did clearing out those clogged drains made a HUGE improvement and we are very thankful. Also, their facility is huge and very professional. I needed body work done after an accident and went in cold not knowing anyone at Puma and they couldn't have been nicer, friendlier, professional, and just downright competent. Christine took care of everything while I was sitting there. Within 15 minutes my insurance company was notified and my rental was outside waiting for me. just terrific. Matt explained the whole process dealing with the adjusters, the estimates and the line by line explanation of the work done as well as the cost. My car had extensive damage in the rear and when I got it back in what I considered record time my Caddy was showroom beautiful. I was in an accident recently and there was quite a bit of damage to my Ford Escape but fortunately I wasn't hurt nor was the other driver who was at fault. I think this is one of those experiences in life when something great comes for something not so great. The accident was not a great experience but meeting Frank Jr, Christine and Matt was the GREAT experience. I've only lived in this area for about 18 months and I'm getting to know people but I have to tell you that Frank Jr, Christine and Matt are 3 of the finest people that I've met here and 3 of the finest people that I've met in a long time. They provided such exceptional customer service each time I went to the office to check on the repair progress for my Ford.
