I really like this studio. Sometimes the limited parking drives me crazy!! I signed up for the intro to yoga class offered on Sundays. It was great, although I wish it went a few classes longer. I purchased a class package, but have not been able to attend the regularly offered yoga basics classes because of work conflicts and travel conflicts. They are only offered on Monday nights, at noon on Wednesday, and on Saturday morning. I work out a lot, but I am definitely starting to shift my mindset into believing in the art of yoga to help me be mindful, while working my body in a different way from the same old "treadmill and weights". I found the intro class to be really informative, and I look forward to taking the basics classes to further develop my yoga skills. read more

Wonderful instructors, very welcoming and friendly. Only live here a couple of days a week, but will be back!

The teachers are very good and look at you as an individual. They don't expect you to do everything. I have done yoga for many years, but I am old now and have some limitations and the teachers are fine with it. I love the flexibility of the classes and your subscription allows flexibility the schedule. read more

Highly recommend Pulsation Yoga! I had been putting off getting back into practicing yoga for months if not years. I found Pulsation Yoga online and decided to sign up for a Yoga Workshop. Outstanding experience!!! Rose was my instructor and she is fabulous. Very knowledgeable, informative and kind. I'm hooked on yoga again. I feel great and I can't wait to take more classes at Pulsation Yoga! read more

Kathryn was very welcoming and explained to me PY's system and setup. She was incredibly knowledgeable about their offerings, and I was able to stop in for a session. The Fundamentals Class was thorough with lots of areas I could see additional growth and development, but still approachable for a beginner like myself. Kathryn had a great eye on the entire class the entire session. read more

Sandy is an amazing instructor. She encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and try new positions. Her instruction strengthens you and boosts your confidence. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone. Mariette F. read more

If you are looking to get back into yoga after a long absence, and need a gentle but invigorating class to start Id highly recommend the Slow Flow class with Elizabeth Vesto. It was enough to challenge me but never too hard. She even added a sound healing at the end. I loved it and I'll be back soon! read more

I couldn't be happier with Pulsation Yoga. I have had two instructors--both terrific--who have made a huge difference in my life. I have PTSD, and Elizabeth is extremely knowledgeable and helpful; showing me advanced breathing techniques, ways to boost relaxation responses, and other techniques she knows will help. Mostly, I just love the people there--kind, supportive and ready to use their knowledge to help. read more

Great, intimate studio. If you are looking for pure yoga, this is the place.

I have taken several yoga classes at Pulsation Yoga and rate them as among the best yoga sessions I have had. The instructors plan their classes thoughtfully and conduct the class with consideration for all of the students. My old yoga studio went out of business during the pandemic; this is my new studio. read more

Great instructors. Wonderful environment.

I attended my first class here last week - IT WAS FREE! You don't get a better try-out than a free one! I was expecting a beginner type class, but found myself in a WARM (hot?) 'flow' class. As a relative newbie, some of the poses and vocabulary was beyond me, but I enjoyed the experience very much. There were no judgments. Staff was welcoming and supportive. Other participants were pleasant as well. I was hooked! The space is lovely, well appointed and just what the perfect yoga environment should be - at least in my imagination. I attended a beginner class this week and the instructor tailored the class to the needs of participants that showed up - which was simply wonderful, kind, generous and very helpful. As a public school teacher, I really appreciate the reduced rates for classes. I wish I could afford more, as I'd go to a class here daily if I could! If you are curious about yoga or a long time practitioner, stop by for a free visit and check out this lovely studio. ADDED LATER- After trying a few more classes, I'm writing to caution the newbies to yoga. Be sure to go to a BEGINNER class. Not all staff are as supportive or accommodating to beginners in all classes offered here! read more

I tried the LEVEL 1-2 class on a Sunday at the Lake Zurich location. I chose to leave mid-way because it was not a good fit for me. Some elements I disliked: Mats arranged in two long rows facing each other across a center aisle with no way to watch the teacher. Actually, the teacher just walked about, reeling off Sanskrit terms. The directions included popping up into a handstand (which no one could do) only to have Jim, the teacher, proceed to demo one to the applause of the adoring students. When we started to attempt inversions against the wall, I left. I won't say the class was awful, it was just a really bad fit for me -- an older advanced beginner type with moderate strength and flexibility. Not much "Level 1" stuff here. I don't think show-off teachers are helpful, either. Decide for yourself. read more

My favorite yoga studio and love Allison. Ths k you for going to zoom during these tough time

T.G.I.R.W - Thank Goodness it's Restorative Wednesday! Wednesday night restorative yoga at Pulsation Yoga is excellent. Between the relaxing stretches and Kathy's playful sense of humor, you'll feel restored both physically and mentally after this session. I look forward to my Wednesday Yoga sessions to help with some chronic back and neck pains. Kathy is experienced in helping people with their various needs. Jim & Kathy co-own this down to earth yoga studio just a few blocks from the Arlington Heights Metra station. They're always welcoming and friendly when you arrive. Teachers, students, seniors, military, police, firefighters can purchase discount packages. Some free advice: come early. Parking in the lot can be very limited and some of the more popular classes fill up quickly. Oh and save me a spot at Wednesday Restorative Yoga! read more

Ok, am I dreaming or did the perfect Yoga space just appear in Arlington Heights within walking distance of the train, TWO thai restaurants, the Arlington movie theater and lots more shopping plus parking! Really fun packed open house today that included ongoing demos, light snacks and refreshments and Mayor Mulder doing a ribbon cutting. I still haven't forgiven her for the small busyness rents Doubling downtown and driving out fantastic small busynesses like Drummer & Thumb, gone and not forgotten. I also don't shop much in AH for that reason, but there is some decent Thai and now YOGA. FULL range of classes for all ages and experience including hot and restorative classes. Massage and private therapy available. I'm in HEAVEN. Join me! read more

My first yoga experience and I'm so happy to have chosen Pulsation Yoga! Our instructor Justin is very knowledgeable and friendly. With just one more basic class left, I'm already signing up to continue! read more

I've been coming her intermittently since June 2013.. I started with Yoga 101 and was coming regularly, until I hit the last quarter of the year and my yoga practice went out the window. If you've never done yoga before, I strongly recommend the 101 course because it taught me so much about how to properly align myself in poses and what I should be thinking about while I was in them. This gave me so much confidence to practice at home and to try the other courses. I started back again in January regularly and it is my oasis on the weekends. It's a very non judgmental place and there's a real sense of community. Everyone is quite friendly and it doesn't matter if you are fully capable of turning yourself into a pretzel or if you are an inflexible beginner like me. They make it accessible and about the joy of being in the moment of practice. read more

What a great studio. Teachers and students are all wonderful. They have a beautiful little community of yoga enthusiasts at Pulsation. I leave every class with a renewed energy and all around positive feeling. read more

I've been taking the restorative class with Amanda on Weds nights at 5:30 at the Arlington Heights studio. Amanda is so welcoming and helpful during the class. The poses are gentle and easy to get into. This is a class I try not to miss, I leave after each class feeling relaxed and gently energized. The studio itself is beautiful, the white curtains and light blue walls have me feeling like I'm floating in a cloud. read more

This place is 30 minutes from my house, door-to-door, every time. I keep going back though, despite the drive, because of the people. I've never practiced/done yoga before, so maybe all yoga ppl are nice. I don't know. I'm a sucker for nice people. Check this out if you're new to yoga or looking for a yoga home. I'm not affliated at all with anyone at this place. I just love the vibe. Way easy for beginners to feel at home. Mindy D. read more

Jim, I just wanted you to know that you are without a doubt my favorite teacher. I have never stuck with a teacher as long as I have with you!! You are a good mixture of tough and nice.. ok not so nice... but that's cool. You can push people with a smile on your face. This is a tough time for ALL yoga studios because they seem to be popping up like Starbucks did a few years ago and Krespie Kreme as well. It is INSANE how people can think they will be rich and famous if they open up a yoga studio... HA HA that will never happen. The only "rich and famous" Yoga teachers are... hmm. not sure I can think of even 1. maybe Rodney Yee because he has built an empire. Anyway, I digress.. Pulsation studio will succeed . It has the best energy and the best owners of any place I have ever been. You and Kathy have "heart" and you truly care and love your students. THAT will prevail. What keeps going through my head whenever I think of the studio and you & Kathy. "Teaching Excellence". Thats why I keep coming back. People think they can duplicate you guys.. They can't and never will. The greatest teachers are people who teach for the love of the practice and not the almighty dollar. I just wanted you to know, I appreciate you and Kathy. I WILL keep coming back! see ya next Sunday! Your loyal student and Friend Lois read more

This place is excellent! Ali's classes are wonderful. She is very deliberate about her cuing and takes great care to ensure that her students are in alignment while also pushing themselves to grow. She's acutely aware of the mechanics of the human body and can, without even touching you, push you past what you originally thought possible. Cannot recommend highly enough -- go check it out! read more

I recently attended the Wednesday evening class which was led by Nadiya. As someone who is not looking to sweat profusely as they encourage participants to do in many of these hotter, more aggressive studios, I very much appreciate the emphasis Nadiya places on pranayama, on alignment and on a pace that is in keeping with a slow therapeutic inhalation and exhale. It is a wonderful work out and a healing spiritual practice beautifully woven together. Thank you Nadiya! read more

I've been going to this studio for a few years and have loved all of the teachers. I'm especially grateful for Pulsation's owners and teachers for streaming live classes as we shelter in place! read more

1st yoga class ever today and became a believer. Amy made for a great introduction. Plan to be back for the Saturday 945 class

While I miss in-person classes, Pulsation has a done a great job of bring its classes online through a live-streaming platform. Kat's Wednesday classes offer something for all-levels. She is thoughtful about moving you through a variety of poses accessible whether you are beginner or want more challenge as an experience practitioner. read more

I just did a live streaming, All Levels yoga class with Kat. I feel fantastic and was very surprised at how good my body felt moving through the poses and stretches she chose for us today. I have injuries to several joints so I usually experience some type of pain in yoga classes but not this one. I'm so grateful I came to class today! I've just moved in to the area during the Covid19 Pandemic so have not yet been to the studio or met anyone in person yet but the live streaming class was seamless and a very good option to be in community. See you online next week and hopefully at the studio soon! BTW, the playlist selection she created for us on Spotify was great too. read more
