We loved this place initially, but our latest order was a disaster. The chicken soup (Caldo de Gallina) came in a tiny Styrofoam cup that spilled everywhere, leaving almost nothing to eat. When I called, the staff were dismissive, offered no apology, and refused a refund. LA County banned Styrofoam cups in 2023, so I don't understand why they're still using them. I hope they get fined for this. Customer service needs serious improvement and they need to be comply with regulations, as the STYROFOAM is a HEALTH RISK to the consumer. read more

Horrible service! The waitress lady is extremely rude, there was a fly on our window dead but still alive. When we had mentioned this to our waiter the lady said yeah they always come here there's nothing I can do. Then we had politely told her to clean it off she told us to move to a different table and left us waiting and she did not take our order or even follow us to the table to take our order instead she walked away to serve another table. We were waiting for someone to take our order for atleast 20 mins. Fyi that fly was not cleaned off the window while this was going on. Where do I start? Service was bad food was not good but edible. Not authentic Salvadorean food. Owner is rude AF. When asked to fill my coffee cup he only filled it half way and said because people don't drink it and leave it. Who says that? If I could give this no stars I would but at all costs avoid this restaurant and save your money. Came to have dinner with my mother and we weren't even seated. We were a party of 2 and they had multiple open tables and couldn't sit us down because "those tables were only for parties of 4" they then told us we could sit outside but it was too cold and windy but the server just shrugged her shoulders and said "that's not my problem". This may be a great place. It has a beautiful garden patio with a fountain. It has a good menu (not great but good), and it serves beer and wine. But our experience here the other day for lunch was a bad one, on a number of levels. Three things made the experience sub-standard. 1) The server did not speak English, or maybe just didn't care - but our order came out wrong - and we were charge for things that were just minor adjustments to our order - and it was not clear that we would be charged for them. 2) The food was not good. For example, my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Sopa (sandwich) and she got a piece of bread with some El Salvadoran slaw and a chicken leg in it (it was a chicken leg with the bone in and grizzle and everything). She almost broke a tooth. 3). When the bill came in it seemed high, so we added up all of the dishes that we ordered including any extras (from adjustments) and the bill was still $9.00 over the highest it could be. We spoke with the waitress and then the manager and both of them nodded and acted like they didn't understand a word we said. So - not wanting to create a terrible scene (where police might be called) we just paid it. But it felt awful and we felt truly cheated. The best experience here may be a good one (for El Salvadorans especially), but I think that we had the worst experience possible... or so I hope... because any experience worse than ours would be a crime. read more

The tilapia was crispy, limey wonderfulness. The liquidos were fruity-milky smooth. All that and the service was friendly, the restrooms were clean and we got the whole, leafy, fountainy patio all to ourselves?? It's too much I tell ya! Why do I keep giving this place a chance to redeem itself... I should just take comfort in the fact that it's not going to happen and move on - UGH. I went for lunch today and normally get the Tacos Dorados but the last couple times I ordered them, they were cold inside (apparently they were frozen and dropped in oil to cook). I figured I would try the Burrito Enchilado and asked if they could add cheese inside. So, if you're reading this and your Salvi, you are laughing at this point because who goes to a Salvadorean restaurant and orders Mexican food....this guy -LOL. Look, I figure if it's on your menu, you should be able to make it. My mistake... the enchilada sauce was just tomato sauce and the cheese was version of cotija. The chicken inside was tough and burnt (their version of grilled that was probably old). Needless to say, I was NOT happy after 2 bites. When the waitress came by to ask how things were, I told her that I did not like it and that the sauce was just tomato sauce and NOT enchilada sauce. When I asked her to take it off, she refused and rather than make a scene (because I was not alone), I paid the bill and left. I won't be back; not even for the mediocre Pupusas. Oh, and did I mention that it was 94 degrees on the patio and she refused to turn the ceiling fans or air conditioner on? UGH.... read more

This isn't going to be my favorite Salvadorian restaurant but thankfully they also make some Mexican dishes. The pupusas here are good but not spectacular. The last time that I came here, the platanos on my plate were not ripe enough, so they were somewhere in between tostones and maduros but everything in the plate was good enough to eat. The location is very typical of this type of restaurant. I have several friends who like this place so I will definitely come back with them and hopefully some of the other food tastes better. By the way, the staff has always been friendly here so that a positive and there is plenty of parking in the lot, which is shared with many stores including the 99 Cents Store. read more

Pésimo servicio de parte de las meseras y de el dueño sobretodo, teníamos que estar pidiendo cada cosa que necesitamos, no se acercaron a preguntarnos si necesitamos algo mas; pedimos más café y dueño nos sirvió solo hasta la mitad y nos dijo que solo nos servía porque no quería que lo "desperdiciáramos" y apenas nos habían traído la comida a la mesa.
