First time with my wife very good servers , food was out in 10 mins , and let me say " popusas are on point " and the yuka n chicharrón is my favorite

Breakfast combo! Fried plantains, refríed beans, eggs with chorizo and veggies, And the sour cream on the side.

My new favorite salvadorean restaurant! We came in on Labor Day and the place was empty. I love the fact that they cook everything from scratch so it does take time but so worth the wait!

Oh you know about "the last bite" this was it and it was perfection!!!

Alright yelpers, I read your reviews about the infamous grouchy woman with awful customer service skills and I will say... You're all right! I've encountered this woman. But! It appears that she is gone! My 4/5 stars are simply to review the food. 4/5 because I think the curtido portions should be increased. Yet, The Pupusas are great! Cheesy, and full of delicious flavor!! Had a plain cheese one and one with lorocco (a type of edible vegetable flower bud, like a cross between a squash flower and a caper). The curtido (cabbage salad) is okay, as is the sauce. The real reason to come here is the Pupusas. Yesterday was the day for special pricing but she honored that for us today, very sweet! All in all, a great place to get Pupusas. I had my order to go. The woman behind the counter only speaks Spanish, so I'm sure it could seem like she's rude too. But, there's just a language barrier, practice kindness and patience and I'm sure she'll treat you well. I hope. Check it out for yourselves. :)

Meh. Dry and hard popusas de rebuelta.

I ordered here trying to find something new because my old spot La Carreta has too many homeless outside of their business. I regret it cause these popusas were nothing special. They were hard and dry if that makes sense.

Hours are wrong but the pupusas are actually really good. The hours posted online say 9-9 but that is inaccurate.

The best pupusas I've ever tried! Service is a hit or miss depending on the waitress. But the food is great!

Great tasting pupusas. I also had the Yucca and the Pan con pollo. The food is good just order at least 20 min ahead.

I also like that they give you a reasonable quantity of curtido and salsa.

I used to love the food from this place, specially the "mestizo" plate, and the red chilaquiles…read morewith chorizo and eggs. About a month ago we went to eat there, and I ordered the mestizo, but the meat was so tough that my hand hurt just from trying to cut the meat, it was so tough to chew, and to me it seemed that the meat was boiled and just heat up on a pan, it was not grilled, it was pale. The casamiento (rice n beans) was super dry. We were the only ones there, that should have been a clue. Today we ordered 3 red chilaquiles with chorizo and eggs (they used to mix the chorizo with the scrambled eggs). The rice was so tough, it was not edible, it was undercooked, what we got were the scrapes that were probably stuck to the pan. The chorizo was not mixed with the eggs, they just placed a whole piece on top of the eggs, the eggs had zero salt. The orders were missing the crema and queso fresco like they used to. The chilaquiles were bitter because some of the tortilla chips were burned. They charged my husband $100 Just for 3 orders of chilaquiles. They charge $4.00 for the small piece of chorizo they add to the plates. So the total should had been $72.40 with tax. I noticed when I tried to replicate the order online that they automatically add a 15% tip. I am sure they do the same when you order in person for to go orders or dine in because their totals never matched my totals. My husband never asks for a receipt, so there was no way for me to double check, but today he told me how much he paid because he saw how upset I was with the scrapes they sent us. This was the last time we will give our business to this sorry a** place. I took a screenshot of how much our total should have been without a tip because our order was to go.

I was skeptical of this spot, but my fiancee is Salvadorian and I knew it would likely make him…read morehappy so we decided on this spot for breakfast. First sign to walk away should have been that you have to ring a doorbell to be let in, but whatever, we were already there with company and hungry, so no turning back at this point. The outside and inside of the restaurant is old and outdated, the tables are wobbly and the cherry on top is the cracked dishes. The lady taking the order does not speak a single word of English, so my fiancee translated "chilaquiles" for her. I felt very out of place. The food has 4 star prices with 2 star quality and presentation. If I'm going out to eat I'm not just looking for convenience, I'm also looking for taste and service. The drinks were great, I got the passion fruit juice, fiancee had a bottled Coke and bestie went with a horchata. I paid with card, and I typically decline the tip so I can leave that in cash, but somehow the register decided to add a tip anyway, luckily I noticed so I didn't leave an extra tip. If you don't speak Spanish, don't bother coming here. I would love to give them a try for other items, but sadly the breakfast experience left a bitter enough taste that I will not be returning here.
