Okay first things first - I don't know why this place has only 3.5 stars. Thats very deterring and very false.
Second. They deserve 5 stars at least!! The staff are super friendly and the menu is very self explanatory. Pictures and everything!! My boyfriend found this gem after we walked around the tourist trapped areas down by the beach. I was skeptical because of these reviews but I'm so glad we came here instead of a paella selling place. Here, there's no one offering you samples or trying to pull you into their pretty empty restaurants. It's come as you please and sit as you please.
The bartender makes literally the best mango mojitos in the world!! And they pack a kick --
The food is very home style and I've had home cooked carribean food before and this was certainly the best. We ordered the goat, chicken wings, potatoes bravas, pescado, plantains, pork ribs, and beef. The beef was our least favorite (but still seasoned good) and we practically finished everything else. Our bill for all of that was ~30€. Not bad. We initially wanted to do the unlimited drinks and food but it's a set menu (22€/pp) and we're more of a DIYer kind of couple.
Fried chicken and patatas bravas and the goat were my fave. The rice and beans were amazing too! If anyone's gone to Selvatica...it tastes like that. Bomb!!
Boyfriend really liked the fish. And the rice.
We both just really liked everything.
This is definitely not your typical paella place but their carribean style tapas still have me dreaming of them.
One of the best meals I've had in ALL of Europe - not even being dramatic. read more
