Tacos
Melissa J.

While on vacation in Cabo we came here for lunch. We were the only people there at the time. It's a very nice place- nice ambiance. It's in an open air space so they have fans going. Very cute decor and they had good music playing. It can get a little toasty so choose your dining time wisely. We started with some good chips and salsa. I had tacos and they were delicious. They have a small gated parking lot. Go check them out for a nice view and meal.

Puerta Vieja is a fun little place, in a hotel right along the main highway in Cabo. We dined there on a friend's recommendation. When we went there (July 2024), there was a lot of construction going on, not much of a view. The staff told us they're planning to open the new restaurant on the roof in the Fall of 2024. Even with the shades closed, the evening sun made the dining area fairly warm. The service was good, the wine list varied, and the food was very good. The meal proceeded slowly, but each dish was made to order, so no real complaint about the time. All the staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. From cocktails, to wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert everything tasted great. The 4-star rating will likely improve to 5-star if the ambiance/view issue is fixed when the restaurant moves to the roof. They will need some way to keep it cool in the summer though. We'll definitely go back once the move to the roof takes place, but perhaps when it's cooler. Recommend Puerta Vieja.

Very nice our second time there, I had Lobster Tails special and my wife had seafood pasta. The service was great, we went there after sunset and there is a great view on Cabo San Lucas.

Our first night in Cabo and this was within walking distance from our condo so we decided to go. What an amazing meal! The restaurant has great views and we sat by the window and got to see fireworks. It was quiet and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the margaritas and they were delicious and fresh. One was plenty for me! My husband got the catch-of-the day which was sea bass and he ordered it al mojo de ajo and it was perfect! The perfect amount of garlic and perfectly cooked. Flaky, tender and melt in your mouth delicious! I ordered the chile rellano which comes stuffed with pulpo, scallops and shrimp. I am allergic to pulpo so I not had the shrimp and scallops and it was an an amazing dinner. The Chile was fresh and not overcooked so still had some crunch and the seafood was fabulous. Thanks for a wonderful first meal in Cabo!

We haven't been at this place since several years, but went back last night. Minor issue with a transformer busted however we went ahead and ventured into the restaurant. Electricity did come on towards the end of the evening. Overall ambience was great. They had candles lit throughout very much like a Halloween dinner. The beet salad and Caesar salad was absolutely fantastic. Service was exceptional and they were doing everything they could to make the experience an amazing time. Definitely will go back as this has been my husband's family's favorite for a long time. The experience of the Spanish coffee was amazing and he went over the top and his performance. It was extremely delicious. Great way to end the last

Great view, great food and good prices! Definitely would go back. Customer service was awesome too.

10/10 We enjoyed dinner and a show. Live piano music, stunning view and sunset; we spent almost 3 hours enjoying an absolutely fabulous experience! Our server made us "Mexican Coffee" for dessert at our table, not featured on the menu, but a show in itself and truly delicious. Our table ordered and shared fresh strawberry mojitos to die for, the "Lucia" with taquila/mezcal and fresh passion fruit with a sugar and tajin rim. Ordered the panela cheese and grilled pineapple appetizer with pasilla pepper sauce. Fabulous. The beet salad, with creamy goat cheese and candied pecans on the bottom, layers of roasted beets and topped with salad greens. So good! Our table ordered surf and turf of lobster and New York, white fish catch-of-the-day with lobster and shrimp, coconut shrimp with fish and mushrooms. Everything was five star! We will be visiting every time we come to Cabo!

Our server Norbet Martinez was amazing. Will definitely go back. The snapper was the best fish I ever ate.

Our server Norbet was so sweet. The service was amazing. Sat at an open window with a wonderful breeze. Love the food the service and staff. Wonderful

Crab Cakes Beautifully presented

The view is gorgeous on an indoor outdoor patio setting. There were plenty of staff however I seemed to have gotten lost as they were not attentive. I waited a long time to order my entree long after an appetizer was finished. The crab cakes were beautifully presented however it did not taste like crab nor but rather texture was like uncooked fish or seafood. The chicken enchiladas were quite ordinary and not at all worth the cost. I would recommend this place only if you are impressed by a view maybe the other items on menu are better, the bar seemed to be quite busy so that's another option.

This place has beautiful views of the bay and arch. We went about 30 minutes before sunset and enjoyed a Grand Margarita (recommended)on the upper deck as the sun set, then had dinner in the main dining area. For an appetizer we tried the crab cakes (tasty). We shared the Seafood combo for two as a main course. This included 2 coconut shrimp, 2 grilled garlic shrimp, 2 Lobster, a nice cut of Filet Mignon, and a portion of the catch of the day. The Filet was perfect medium rare and quite tender. In fact everything was delicious. Dinner was served with mashed potatoes and vegetables: asparagus, carrots and zucchini. The seating is comfortable and decor tasteful. While this is not a budget traveller's restaurant, it's not ultra high priced and there is a large selection to choose from. We will definitely return for special occasions.

The crab cake didn't look as expected on the outside but it was really good; the only food I enjoyed. The rest of the food had no taste. It wasn't worth over $300 we spent.

Food is disgusting and mediocre. Don't even waste your time. Had a few dishes they all were disgusting. Worst food I had in los Cabos.

I'm talking the kind of band that makes you want to order another margarita just so you can clap along like you suddenly grew up in Guadalajara. And the food? Real-deal Mexican classics mole, enchiladas, chile rellenos big flavors coming out of a kitchen that knows what it's doing. Now let's talk about the chips and salsa, because I didn't come here to play games. Some restaurants give you chips like they're doing you a favor three chips and a little salsa like it's a museum sample. Not here. These chips show up ready to party. Crunchy, warm, and the salsa hits you like, "Hola amigo, welcome to flavor." Add the incredible service and that mariachi band floating through the courtyard and suddenly dinner turns into a whole event. Honestly, this place was one of the highlights of my Cabo trip and my socks? Yeah... they're still somewhere on the floor from those chips and salsa.

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.

The views are stunning and since we arrived on a cruise ship and were treated to views of our ship from the table. The restaurant is beautiful. Cannot do it justice by trying to describe how beautiful the restaurant and the property as a whole is. Suffice it to say . . . Stunning! Service was impeccable our servers Ohnel and Arturo did not miss a beat. This is definitely a cannot miss destination and will be my definite stop every time I return to Cabo I felt the prices were very fair especially for such a high end restaurant and the food was exceptionally fresh. From the fresh catch of the day to the Shrimp Diabla (Camarones Diabla. The sauce was decadent Now you must try the guac. They prepare it table side and not only is it a site the behold but the flavors are to die for This was my first time in Cabo and certainly will not be my last. Did a lot of research on local high end restaurants (The Office, Sunset Mona Lisa El Farallon) Tried this and one of the others which was great and will review shortly but to be honest. When you factor in location, ambiance food etc. I will have to give this the edge. It really made my trip to Cabo worth it and it is where we settled to dine for my birthday. I simply cannot believe it took me so long to visit Cabo I have done it a disservice as I frequent the Eastern side of Mexico but now I know I have already booked my return trip And to my Mexican Familia at Hacienda Cocina: Gracias por hacer que nuestra visita fuera tan memorable. Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

The place itself does not have a high-end vibe or atmosphere, so the pricing just didn't match the experience at all. The service was nice, I'll give them that, but the food did not justify the cost. I've had way better tacos for way less. And trust me, I've had a lot of tacos in my lifetime. It honestly feels like this place is taking advantage of tourists with these prices.

The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. Overall, Roasted was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and definitely the best one we had while in Cabo. Do yourself a favor and come here! We definitely know we will be back!
