Paco is a nice tapas restaurant in the 9th district. The vibe is a little less rustic and more…read moremodern than most of the other tapas bars i've been too. Most of the seating is on high chairs and tables and in front of the bar, but there are also a couple normal round tables available. I'd saying sitting on the barbis nice but go for a normal table if you have a group of 4 or more so that sharing is more covenient. The food is very classic spanish and delicious. Portion sizes are not too big, except for the paella (for 2), which was pretty hefty even for 2 people. I think between us four we shared 7 dishes + the paella. The paella tends to be quite salty so we asked for less salt and it came out perfect. Remember to ask the waiter for the specials! There are usually some pretty tasty options on that menu. Some of my classic favourites are the pimientos, the gambas and chorizo tortilla. We also ordered the iberico rücken, which was a special they had- so aromatically fatty and heavenly. Their patatas bravas and tomato salad were nothing special. Sadly, their churros weren't super impressive either. We also got a fantastic bottle of rioja, which i would highky recommend: 2014 Palacio Remondo La Montesa. Overall, a great choice for some good foods with friends and family, who like to share.

We had the same jamon y queso board and olives plus patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, and the flan de chocolate. Oh, and a bottle of rioja. The food was all lovely, especially the flan. The wine was good, but not up to my California girl standards. I get it; my taste in these things is different. The service was a little uneven, i.e. it was a bit hard to get the wait staff's attention when we wanted something, but I also understand that dinner in Europe is a more leisurely affair.

My favorites are the goat cheese, their olives, the garlic shrimp, and the potato bravas. Highly suggest a reservation on the weekend as they can get busy. A tiny bit expensive but 100% worth it.

First, he was a bit brash and unhelpful, but we didn't really care too much at first and just got on with it. We ordered and maybe it's just not my taste, but it seemed a bit overpriced for what we got. We ordered the mixed plate and were underwhelmed. Nice meat, nice cheese, nice bread, but nothing to write home (or Yelp ;) about. At the end, our 7 person table wanted to pay. This took a long, long time. Finally, we started to pay, and in the middle of our table paying, the waiter walks out for a smoke. He can literally see us waiting for him to come back inside and let us pay, but he takes his time outside with his cigarette and phone. It was actually quite bizarre at the time, all of us needing to get to different places afterwards, some of us in a hurry, watching this dude smoke his cigarette leisurely. I griped a bit about our predicament and my friends urged me to write about it on Yelp... I kinda thought I was being pranked. Safe to say we won't be going back.

This spot was absolutely lovely…read more Our hosts in Vienna wanted to show us a local vibe of how amazing Vienna is with a great market and cafe, and An-do did not disappoint us. The thing I love about European cafes is the availability of them. An-do is next to several others, and the seating is open and welcome for you to sit down. There's not host or hostess, and you seat yourself. It feels much more relaxed. On Saturdays there is a market in this square, which is great. After you're done eating you can get your shopping done. The patio area of An-do was well covered and shaded. Our server took our order, and I was looking for some protein. I ended up getting the chicken pide and the limonade drink. It is not the American equivalent of lemonade. It's much better. A lot less sugar, fresh fruit, and a little fizzy. I'm still thinking about it! I've tried to make my own but it's just not the same. The chicken pita was super good! Chicken was tender with a delicious sauce on it, arugula, and the bread was fresh. French fries were delicious. I want to come back for a limonade! :) An-do

They do great things with garnish here, making a simple ham and eggs special with extra veg items and herbs. They have wonderful coffee served in French-style bowls, too! I'm pretty demanding when it comes to coffee so it's saying a lot when I say it's wonderful. Of course the ambience at the Yppenplatz is perfect and Staud's and Brunnenmarkt are right next door! The service can be friendly, but I've also experienced unfriendly service here, so 1 star down for inconsistency on that front. I'll definitely be tasting my way through their menu in the future!
