We bought a box of mixed fried chicken from the deli at about 6:30 PM yesterday, 8/6/25. It tasted "not fresh ". Upon looking at the expiration sticker I found that they had covered up the original sticker that said 6:24 sticker with one that says 8:54. The service in this Publix is going down the drain on a daily basis. Today I went and was not able to get four items I was looking for. The bakery looked like a deserted place with minimum items available. Yes, yesterday was Thanksgiving and the store was closed, but that is not a reason to have the store without so many items. The baggers, when they are available, never have a friendly and courteous attitude toward customers. This Publix needs a major shakeup! read more

I ordered 10 live lobsters on Publix website. I received a pick-up renminder notice on the day they were to be picked up. I called the store to inform them I would be about an hr late. I was informed they had no lobsters for me, speaking with the assistant manager he informed they did not put thru the order as they could not reach me to confirm the purchase. I never received any phone calls, text messages, or voice mails informing me to call and confrm. I had a house of people coming and expecting a lobster dinner! And to top it off - I received a pickup reminder from Publix. Thank goodness for Lombardi's Seafood in Winter Park, Fl!! They saved the day! I'm switching to Kroger delivery for routine grocery shopping and Lombardi's for my seafood! read more

Of course the prices at Publix are lower overall than convenience stores and places like a Dollar General, but still I shop at Aldi's and Save a Lot for a lot of our groceries that have no drop in quality. There is more selection at Publix also, but I don't really need that much choice. Their BOGO deals are great, as long as you aren't buying all kinds of stuff you don't usually get, and the pharmacy has a great policy of offering some of the most common prescriptions for free. Near the front of this branch there is usually a shelf or small kiosk with special markdown items. I don't usually find anything there, but I always look. Also, outside the front of the store are bins where you can recycle plastic bags, styrofoam, paper bags, etc. The staff is mostly helpful and friendly, and of course will ask you if you need help taking the groceries to your vehicle. The latest thing seems to be doing your shopping for you and delivering to your house. I don't know what the fee is for that service. read more

I'm a die-hard Publix fan, so when Isaw this Publix, located very close to one of the offices I sometimes work in, I was very excited! This location is relatively new and is very big. Has your typical Deli, Bakery and Meat Departments. I've been here for lunch or to grab a freshly prepared parfait and end up buying a few items for home. Lots of parking, always clean, friendly and helpful employees and fresh food. What more can you ask for? read more

I'm not a big fan of Publix in general--their prices are higher than in other stores and their produce is always the same year round--nothing seasonal, nothing interesting--very American basic. But this store is awful. if you shop here, make sure to check the expiration dates on everything. I'm constantly finding expired dairy and meats, as well as grocery items. Also, be aware that there's no self checkout. Since there are rarely more than two lanes open, you can expect for it to take a while to check out. read more

Everyone has their favorite grocery store and in Florida there are a number of good ones but the one I frequent the most is definitely Publix - the store's are large, well organized, clean and conveniently located in a neighborhood near you. I usually stop in at this location to grab odds and ends and of course one of my favorite Publix Subs. I find the prices vary greatly from store to store which is somewhat disturbing but I find most retailers practice this model dependent on the stores location and demographics. I usually travel passed this store in the mornings when working in the area prior to them opening which is 7:00 AM and although I have waited for them to open the doors, it's not something I'd do unless I'm picking up something for an early morning meeting or a pre-order, opening 30 minutes earlier would be such a better option for me and it seems like it's the same for a lot of people since their always seems to be a number of people waiting in their cars. read more

I was in the Publix @ Woodlawn Square, Eustis. While in the aisle a lady gave me a sample package of Cascade Plus along with her recommendations. When I approached check out lane 1 with cashier, McKenzie she questioned me about the sample & appeared to think that I was stealing a 3 pack sample of Cascade Plus. She called over someone in management to verify that I was telling the truth about it being a free sample. This upset me beyond words; as this cashier was making a presumption that I was trying to steal. read more

I have nothing but good to rate this store.their fruit baskets are amazing and reasonably priced. Cake orders always exceed my expectation. The deli goes above and beyond, I read some of the negatives and never experienced anything but attentive service, never rushed and my sub sandwiches are exactly as I order. The meat department bends over backwards to help me as do the workers stpicking, they don't point or state an isle number they escort you to your your request. read more

This is the worst deli and sub lane I've ever been to! 25 minutes for 3 people. Meatballs were frozen and they didn't tell anyone! They moved at the speed of a turtle with absolutely not a single thread of concern for the customer. I complained to the manager at the cashier Lane and the cashier responded, "yeah we know they are bad... oh I probably shouldn't have said that." The manager said sorry...that's it. Every time I go to Florida, I go to Publix..... Back in the late 90s they used to make this special dessert that is only available by special order. This review is for the bakery. We ordered a cake but did not get what we ordered. Instead of chocolate we got vanilla. I left super upset but decided to go back and talk to them. They were more than understanding and redid it right then and there. They hooked it up. Plenty of strawberries and extra chocolate pieces on the side. They were awesome and really made it right. The pharmacy here, in my opinion, is bad. I was told 3 separate times to come back for a medication and all times I came back they never had it, they didn't give me an option to call me when it's ready or anything so I didn't have to keep coming back when they say they'll have it. Not only that, but every single person I talked to was so rude, and like I was stupid for coming back when they told me to come and for being upset for having to come back 3 times with no result. The condescending "uhhhh no" is a no from me. Not happy at all with the workers. read more

I like shopping there but the prices are 30% or even 40% higher than Walmart so it's just not worth it. I'll give you an example, when I bypass drama for my kids the price is 12 or $13 per pound versus similar quality pastrama in Walmart which is $8. A pound of cheese in Walmart is $4 and it's 8 to $9 in Publix. On top of that, Walmart has a special delivery and they are in your home within an hour so we switched to Walmart instead of Publix. read more

This place is horrible! No - one manning the front door and just a small sign suggesting masks. There are more people here without masks than wearing them. The checkout people are told not to say anything to these people who are walking around like there's no pandemic! In times like this I find it very pathetic to see how little Publix is doing to protect their workers and the general public! If you go almost anywhere the other stores now open have full plastic shields between cashier and public. Publix has a 1 ft shield at an area no one even stands at. Plus they have baggers in full contact with customers. Really!!! They should visit a Winn Dixie that at least uses full 3 foot shields. Give your help some protection Publix! Full shield, mask and throw away gloves would be a good start! Eliminate baggers and risk goes down 50%!! read more

My father in law placed a very large order with the deli for my sister in laws wedding reception. It wasn't a complicated order, just party sandwiches, wraps, wings, tenders, and a few other little things. He also ordered the cake and some other little desserts from the bakery, which came out beautiful. The bakery was very professional and if my review was based soley on that part of the experience, it would be a 5 star review. However, the majority of this visit was spent with the deli team and it wasn't positive. We first stopped by the bakery. My Father in law let them know we were there and why. The young man at the bakery grabbed a cart and filled it with our items as we waited at the deli. Meanwhile, the manager at the deli took an empty cart into their prep area and began filling it with the items that they'd managed to have ready on time. We watched in disbelief as she and the staff scrambled to assemble the rest of our order. My Father in law, a recently retired executive chef of a major hospitality franchise, is a very calculated and diligent fella. He placed this order a week before and called the day before to ensure it would be taken care of correctly.. Yet there we were, waiting and watching as the literally threw together our order. It should've been ready and waiting to go before we even got there. Half of the food was so sloppy, we almost didn't want to take it, but had no alternative as we were so pressed for time. We arrived at 12:50 p.m. The order was to be picked up at 1:00. At 1:30 we were finally ready to check out. All of the employees that we interacted with were very nice and helpful. The manager at the deli really dropped the ball though. This was my first visit to this location, but my father in law told me that she's new to the position. She may need further training. My mother in law did call the store, and the manager offered to redo the order and deliver it, but we didn't have time for that, so he did refund them. That's how this review became a 3 star and not a 1 star review. read more
